THE MITTENS, ROBE, SHORT CAPE AND TRIM:On the Palette: Burlap, Warm White, Pebble, Asphal-tum, Titanium White.

Base coat the Robes with Burlap, The Short Cape is based with Warm White. when dry, both are washed with thinned Asphaltum. The trim is based with Tita-nium White. The lacy trim at the cuff and the bot-tom of the robe is based with Warm White and then Washed with thinned Asphaltum. The Mitts are based with Burlap, then a wash of Asphaltum. Dry brush the mitts with Warm White. Shade all of the edges and under the folds in the robe with several fl oats of thinned Asohaltum.

SANTAS FACE AND BEARD:On The Palette: Slate Grey, Cotton Candy, Asphaltum, Warm White, Lamp Black, Alizarin Crimson

Base the face and mouth with Cotton Candy, The inside of the mouth with Alizarin Crimson. Base the eyes with Warm White. Base the beard with Slate Grey.

To the eyes Add a dot of Prussian Blue for the iris and add a small dot of white on the upper left side of the Iris for a highlight.

Shade the face with a fl oat of thinned Asphaltum, Under the hat and along the edge of the beard. . Add a blush to the cheeks with a light dry brush of Alizarin Crimson. A small dot of white is added to each cheek for a fi nal highlight.

The beard is over stroked with fi ne lines of Warm White. Using thinned Warm White and the 6/0 Liner. Once it is complete Shade the beard with a fl oat of Asphaltum.

THE TREE AND STAR:On The Palette: Plantation Pine , Warm White, Saff ron Yellow, Asphaltum,

The Star is based with Saff ron Yellow. Dry Brush the points of the star with Warm White.

The tree is based with Plantation Pine. Dry brush highlights onto the tips of each bough with Warm White. Shade under each bough with a fl oat of As-phaltum. Base the Trunk of the tree with Asphaltum. , Dry brush lightly with Warm White.

THE LANTERN:On The Palette, Slate Grey, Saff ron Yellow, Asphaltum,

Base the frame of the lantern with Slate Grey. Base the light in the lantern with Saff ron Yellow. Dry brush the pattern with Warm White.

THE ROSES: On The Palette: Asphaltum, Light Lime, Plantation Pine, Warm White, Titanium White.

Trace and transfer the larger Rose to the Robe in a random fashion. Shade the deeper areas of the Rose with fl oats of thinned Asphaltum. Let it dry. Highlight

the outer edges of the petals with fl oats of thinned Warm White. Add a highly to the edge of the petals with a fl oat of thinned Tita-nium White.

The leaves are based with Mar-garita and then shaded with a fl oat of thinned Plantation Pine.

The Small Uses on the from of the Ron are based with Warm White and then a small Comma Stroke of Titanium White to the tip of the Bud. The Stem is a thin line of thinned Plantation Pine. The Leaf is based with Margarita , and shaded at the bottom nearest the stem with a small fl oat of thinned Plantation Pine.

Add a scribble line around the details of the roses and leaves. ( this gives them a softer look) Spatter the robes and cape with a thinned Warm White. ( adds a light snowy eff ect) Let it dry.

FINISHING:Spray the entire Santa with one or two light coats of DecoArt Matt Spray.
