Enjoy the Moment,
You may still be recovering from the summer season but now is the time
to plan your next winter escape. And what could be more appropriate
than a long week-end in Amsterdam or Berlin? Check our end of year
packages on page 102 and discover our large selection of destinations.
To satisfy your wanderlust for the natural world, in this winter edition
of The Wild Collection, we’ve also explored Tanzania (page 92), went
to Chamonix (page 60), enjoyed its glamorous atmosphere and relaxed
onboard Uniworld (page 58), a boutique river cruise.
For urbanites, going off the beaten track in a mysterious city is one of the
greatest delights. The extraordinary and labyrinthine medina of the heart
of Marrakech is a great place to lose yourself: Aladdin’s cave of fragrant
spice talls, tea shops, henné, perfumes and colorful fabrics.
Or you can book on one of MSC Cruises Latin American itineraries to
discover the Caribbean islands and the exciting rythms of South America.
Finally, knowing that many of you simply want to spend a relaxing stay
in extraordinary hotels, turn to page 82 for the Grace Hotel in Beijing,
to page 84 to Angsana Balaclava in Mauritius or to page 85 for the
delightful Orient Express, a former monastery and national monument
dating from 1592.
Enjoy your travels and let our travel consultants in our 12 branches
in Lebanon, Syria and Dubai help you plan your next memorable
holiday trip!
To serve you better, we opened a new branch in ABC Dbayeh (Lebanon)
that is available 7 days a week, from 10am till 10pm.

It is the relaxed lifestyle, sur$ng, and endless happy hours that will make this your favorite beach escape. Make sure to visit the famous Arts Factory Backpackers Lodge which is a surreal enchanted 5 acre retreat in a subtropical haven, with rock

I love nothing more than to get wrapped up in a coat, scarf and gloves and $ght my way through the crowds on Oxford Street where the atmosphere is alive with festive spirit as locals and tourists shop ‘til they drop. The lovely Victorian homes that were built in the 19th century and characterize the city have all been preserved and are now painted in bright, captivating colors, giving San Francisco a storybook appeal. Then there are the famous landmarks like the majestic Golden Gate Bridge
that connects the city to the Marin suburbs; Lombard Street, the most crooked street in the world; and North Beach, the Bohemian neighborhood where famous writers from the Beat Generation like Jack Kerouac used to congregate back in the 1950s.
San Francisco is home to Union Square, the largest shopping area

every world cuisine imaginable available at city restaurants, including Chinese, Japanese, Thai, French, Italian, Ethiopian, Lebanese, Brazilian, Spanish, Caribbean and virtually anything else you can imagine, as well as California cuisine as invented by famous chef Alice Waters at the legendary Chez Panisse restaurant.

their incredible tolerance. In San Francisco, you can be whoever you want to be, and live out every single one of your dreams. This is reason

Krakow
Krakow is considered to be Poland’s cultural capital. Its medieval heart has largely survived its turbulent history and is one of the city main attractions. The huge square, with the Cloth Hall in its centre, is surrounded by fourteenth century town houses many of which have been restored and renovated. In the corner of the square is the Church of St. Mary with its twin spires. There are many concerts held in the square throughout the year and at Christmas and Easter the square hosts a traditional market. Being a university town it has a youthful vibrancy which is especially noticeable in the evenings.

......................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................... AFRICA
My trip to Africa will remain in my memory as one of the most exciting and impressive trips of my life… With so many parks and circuits to choose
and endless green landscapes, amazing wild life, welcoming people and hospitable land.
Our starting point, Ngorongoro crater, which was once a volcano, captivated us with its scenic grandeur and stunning views. There we met the Massai tribes, living peacefully and far away from the urbanism, clinging to their age-old customs and refusing to abandon their traditional semi-nomadic lifestyle.
The Masai welcomed us with their traditional dance, a ceremony where voice is the only musical instrument and where the singers dance in harmony with the music, jumping as high as possible while other singers sway their bodies back and forth. The rhythm might sound a little monotonous but is wonderfully powerful and pulsating.
After paying twenty US dollars as contribution for water and life enhancement, we took the time to explore further the Masai lifestyle.
The Massai Mara tribes live near the many game parks over Kenya and Northern Tanzania and are considered among the best known African ethnic groups, due to their distinctive customs and dress. The piercing and stretching of earlobes is common among men and women. And their small houses are constructed by the hands of Masai women, with mud, stick and grass.
Maasai society is strongly patriarchal in nature, where elder men decide major matters for each group and where oral laws cover many aspects of its behavior.
On the road from Ngorongoro to Serengeti, our guide explained the meaning
the lowest Blue one represents the numerous lakes and rivers, the Yellow band represents the rich mineral deposits and the Black band represents the skin color of Tanzanians.
Upon arrival to the famous Serengeti National park, we were eager to $nally
this adventurous journey.
Lazy, dominant, arrogant and scanning the area with his golden eyes, the Lion was my favorite animal.
We continued our trip to Lake Manyara, described by Ernest Hemingway as the “loveliest lake in Africa”. From the entrance gate, the road takes you to an expanse jungle of baboon troops where blue monkeys jump between the ancient trees. And the intimate stretch road ends by a stunning view of the lake where #amingo birds rest peacefully.
all what I have lived and what I have seen. The wild endangered animals, the innocent black shining eyes of the Masai children, the green landscapes, and the nice people of this country are encoded in my memory and will always enlighten my spirit.

MYKONOS & SANTORINI,
TWO GORGWO GORWO GOR EOUS ISLANDS!
We had an amazing vacation on two of the most beautiful Greek
islands: Mykonos and Santorini!
In the $rst 5 days in Mykonos, we stayed in the Pelican Bay Art
Hotel located in Platis Gialos; one of the most known beaches
in Mykonos. The hotel was 5 minutes walk to the beach and 3
minutes walk to the bus station so its location was de$nitely one
of the best
Although our room was not a sea view, but the bougainvillea
that spread out on our balcony was great.
In Mykonos, there are many attractions that most be visited
starting from the many beaches - we loved Panormos beach- to
Mykonos Town -with its windmills, Little Venice, and Matoyianni
street- to the archeological sites Delos island.
In Santorini, we stayed in Aressana Hotel and Spa located in the
center of Fira, again a perfect location. The specialty of this hotel
is its breakfast bu~et that includes Greek specialties, it was really
delicious!
We also visited beautiful villages -Pyrgos, Megalochori, Akrotiri,
Oia- in addition to di~erent beaches -the red beach, the black
beach and kamari beach.
On our last day were we supposed to go from Santorini back to
Mykonos by ferryboat and from there to the airport, the weather
was very windy so the ferryboat that was supposed to come to
take us couldn’t come.
Wild Discovery took things in hand and managed to book us
another boat so we don’t miss our #ight back home.
Thank you Wild Discovery for this beautiful trip and the excellent
service.

MYKONOS,
A CRAA CRA CR ZY ISLAND!
First I would like to thank your esteemed company “Wild
Discovery” and “Crepaway” for your great initiative. We had
the chance to visit Mykonos this summer. It is one of the best
places that we’ve travelled to, it’s an island full of energy, young
people and a destination that suites all sun and fun seekers.
Add to the beauty of the island the perfect choice of “Kamari
hotel”. We loved the room, the pool, the garden and of course
the delicious breakfast that we already miss!!
Moving around on the island was very easy…we took the
bus, we rented a motorcycle and we took a boat transfer to
Paradise Beach. We wished we had more time to discover this
wonderful island!
I wish our vacation never ended. And we appreciate updating
us with all new package ideas that you have for the upcoming
season.

MSC SPLENDIDA,
A LUXURIOUA S CRUISE!
Our experience on board the MSC Splendida was amazing.
The ship itself was breathtaking, the rooms were really nice
especially the balcony which presented a great added value. It
was great waking up the morning and looking out the balcony
and just seeing the ocean all around.
We ordered one day breakfast in bed, I expected it to be late
due to the large amount of people on board but to tell the truth
they were 2 minutes early to be speci$c. There were various
restaurants to choose from and a main restaurant with a huge
bu~et and it was open approx 24 hours a day (watch out we
gained weight on this cruise!!!)
It really feels like you are part of a movie or some TV show: the
Swarovski stairs, the pianist and violin at the reception, the gala
dinners with your own butler…the facilities, the entertainment
and the friendliness of the crew was impeccable.
The itinerary of MSC Splendida was also great, we got the chance
to visit Napoli, Palermo, Tunis, Palma de Majorca, Barcelona,
Marseille, and Genoa…everything was on schedule.
I’m actually advising lots of friends to cruise on board of MSC
cruise…because all you have to do is show up at the airport and
you will be taking care of. We would give it a 9.5/10 score!!!
