This full-length documentary explores the fascinating and funny people behind the makeup, jewels and wigs. Ride along as they search for love, family and acceptance, and try – if even for a moment – to make the world more colorful and tolerant for all of us. Documentary filmmaker Dmitry Zhitov followed the drag queens for 15 months. Along the way, he gained backstage and home life access to these hard-working entertainers, learning what it takes to make a living as a female impersonator. He also uncovers the joys and heartaches of having both onstage and offstage lives and reveals many secrets of the trade.
