Transportation ProgramDAV’s Transportation Network Program is designed to provide free rides to veterans who have difficulty getting to and from VA Medical Centers and Clinics. The Program is managed by DAV Hospital Service Coordinators (HSC). The operating expensesincurred by the Wisconsin DAV HSC Offices to maintain the Program relies mainly on donations from DAV chapters, Auxiliary units, individuals, corporations and other veterans groups. Donations are always welcomed.

DAV MediaThe DAV in Wisconsin maintains a website (www.dav-wi.org), a Facebook page (www.facebook.com/DAV.WI) and outreach programs. These valuable tools are essential to bring our message of veterans helping veterans to the public and our members. Donations to maintain these programs are appreciated.

Christmas StoreAnnually – usually in early December – volunteers gather to participate in a program administered by the DAV Auxiliary. The program provides gift cards to patients and residents. Help make a veteran’s holiday be merry.

Child WelfareThis program is administered by the DAV Auxiliary in conjunction with County Veterans Service Officers. A DAV District is chosen each year, based on numerical rotation.Recipients are children with special needs. Donations are accepted all year long.

Hospital FundDAV Volunteers are stationed at various VA Medical Centers and Clinics and State Veterans Homes to assist patients and residents. Each facility receives separate funds to provide direct assistance for their patients and residents. This fund pays the general operating expenses needed to operate the volunteer programs. Since the Hospital Fund has no regular source of income…please be generous.

Transportation VansDAV’s Transportation Network Program in Wisconsin maintains over 40 vans. Because of heavy usage, each year many vans must be replaced at a cost of over $26,000.00 each. We rely solely on donations from DAV chapters, Auxiliary units, individuals, corporations and other veterans groups to replace these vans. Donations are always needed.
