Not to suck from a straw on the day of extraction.
Warm saline rinses & gentle brushing should be advised from the next day.
Do not spit minimum for 24 hours after extraction because it can dislodge the clot which can lead to a painful condition known as dry socket.
Apply ice pack on the side where surgery was performed to reduce swelling.
Advised to take soft diet & cold liquid on the day of extraction.
Take your medications as prescribed by your dentist.
Do not smoke for 48 hours after extraction as the chemicals in the smoke can affect the clot & hence chances of dry socket increases 3-4 days after tooth extraction.
