FARM LIFE CHRONICLED IN NEW BOOK: After more than 25 years of writingmonthly humorous stories about life on a dairy farm, Joe Peck has published a thirdcollection of his best tales in a new book, “A Farmer in Clean Overalls and Other TallTales.” Joe’s wit and wisdom, honed through years of speaking to agricultural audiencesand writing “On The Lighter Side” and “Peck’s Peckings” for regional and national pub-lications is evident in each of these rib-tickling accounts and reflections. Readers willlearn how a farmer can magically transform a front end loader into a scaffold, forklift orrock picker, step back in time at old tractor pulls, and improvise daily to keep the farmrunning. From beating the bovine blues to his love affair with apples, Joe’s keen obser-vations of the lighter side of farming will entertain and inspire readers from all walks oflife. Peck will sign books at Gardenworks on Route 30, five miles west of Salem, onFriday, November 27, and on Saturday, December12, from 11 am - 2 pm. An orderform for this 192-page compilation of nearly 90 entertaining tales is available at:www.joepeckonline.com. You may also reach Joe at Peckhaven Farm in Saratoga Springs,New York, 518-584-4129, where Joe and his son David, milk 120 registered Holsteins.Books are also available at Borden’s Orchards in Easton, Wiley Bros. in Schaghticoke, and the Ice Cream Man on Rt. 29, Greenwich.
