Bibliothèque nationale de FranceThe Web Site Bibliothèque nationale de France (National Library of France) is a veritable

treasure trove of resources for A Level students, undergraduates, postgraduates, academics, and teachers of French and History. The site is in French and English, although the English version is not as extensive as its French counterpart. It contains numerous resources, of which Gallica is probably one of the most useful. Gallica consists of an

Culture.frThe website, Culture.fr, from France's Ministère de la Culture et de la Communication is a vast

gateway and information service for all aspects of French culture. This is an essential resource for anyone working on contemporary French studies. It offers a remarkable number of annotated links to genuinely quality resources in the fields of: archaeology; architecture; modern art; cinema; history; French language; literature; and the performing arts. Links are also provided to: national libraries; museums; archives; and study and research resources. The site also acts a news service for cultural events and the arts in France: users will find up-to-date, detailed information on a variety of events, exhibitions, and performances across the country, as well as articles reviewing events in depth. A search facility allows for easy access of sites and events of interest. This is an excellent portal, and recommended to all involved in contemporary French studies. Users are recommended to take time to explore the site in depth since each section contains various, more specialized sub-sections, to which access is not always immediately obvious. http://www.culture.fr/
