Your Deciding Student Program advisor will: • Develop a personalized collegiate career plan
• Help navigate the major declaration process
• Meet regularly with students to ensure they are on track
• Introduce the benefits of the Career & Life Planning class (UNIV 1310 is required for DSP)
• Collaborate with the BGSU Career Center to help students understand the links between majors and careers
• Present excellent programming opportunities
Deciding Student Program: Your personal resourceThink of Deciding Student Program as your personal resource for discovering what you want to study and for developing a plan. Through this program, advisors offer resources you can use to determine your strengths and weaknesses, helping to identify courses that allow you to stay on track while exploring different areas of study.
Many of the BGSU majors have introductory courses that are open to deciding students.
