Effective control does not have to be complicated—our Controllers span the application spectrum, from manual spinner/conveyor to open and closed loop spreader control. On-screen process monitoring, data acquisition and reporting capabilities are integral to all Compu-Spread controllers. Data can be easily accessed via flash drive, AVL or WiFi utilities. Rexroth’s BODAS Connect makes Industry 4.0 data tools available to Snow & Ice Control.

Control of plows and other auxiliaries can be done with joysticks integrated in our compact spreader controllers or in stand-alone consoles. These offer great valve metering as well as stow mode logic when using the on-board digital drivers. For more complex applications higher level logic functions can be had when using separate BODAS micro-controllers. The broad use of CANBus then facilitates communication between the spreader controller and the joystick console.

Hydraulics

The Hydraulics are a key determinant of the overall Compu-Spread system performance. We draw from the broad Rexroth product portfolio of pumps—in both swashplate and bent axis design—and valves to configure both open and energy efficient closed-center systems.

In addition to stackable valve solutions, we offer a range of compact manifold assemblies designed for specific Snow & Ice Control functions. Valves that are best installed at the actuator for load-holding or other auxiliary functions complete the hydraulic system. Rexroth filtration products ensure trouble-free performance and long system life.

Modules

Up-fitters can benefit from reduced assembly time by selecting configured and pretested Modules, ranging from just a valve in a weather-tight enclosure to a fully pre-plumbed and pre-wired mobile power pack, which includes the reservoir, filters and all accessories. Our evolving product portfolio can address most current requirements – special designs will also be considered.

The compact footprint is of advantage to both up-fitter and end user; protection from the elements and the service access afforded by these assemblies further benefits the operator.

In addition to valve and reservoir modules, a broad range of pre-wet systems—configured for our controllers—and accessories complement the program.

Components

We offer a wide variety of pre-configured Components – each one engineered for this harsh environment – to complete your Snow & Ice Control system. This includes motors and cylinders, liquid tanks, cable assemblies, as well as flow sensors, spray-bar nozzles and accessories for pre-wet and anti-icing.
