The oldest open port town in Japan shows the historical virtues of the people. Goryokaku, an old fortress shaped like a five-pointed star, Mt. Hakodate, which overlooks the Shimokita Peninsula on a sunny day and Hakodate Orthodox Church are the highlights of your trip.

Seongsan Ilchulbong is a giant volcano that was created 100 thousand years ago by an underwater eruption. It is registered as a world heritage for being one of the best scenic areas in Cheju island.

Amanohashidate is one of the 3 Great Views of Japan. You will surely be impressed by its Matanozoki view from Kasamatsu Park, which looks like there is a bridge to the heaven.

Sendai is one of the biggest cities with a million population in Tohoku. The green-rich city is known as a City of Trees with many historical spots such as Matsushima Island and Sendai Castle Site.

Kanazawa is where you can experience not only major sightseeing spots, such as Kenrokuen and Nagamachi Samurai House, but traditional arts, such as Kutani-ware and Kagayuzen, as well.

Enjoy your daytime activities on and off the ship in your most comfortable casual clothes (shorts and T-shirts are all acceptable). We have dress codes after evening: Casual and Formal. Please follow the formal dress code guideline on formal nights that are to be held 1 or 2 times during your trip. However, this formal night is an Italian style event that is meant to enjoy your favorite fashion. So please do not worry to be too formal. Check the on-ship newspapers for the official dress code of the day.

How do I gather information? We deliver a daily on-ship newspaper every night to your cabin.It provides information about schedule, entertainment, dress codes, restaurants, bars, anchorage sites, departure and arrival times and so on.

You do not need to carry cash with you anywhere on the ship except for the casino. We will provide you a Costa Card (Magnetic) that functions as money on the ship. We adapt a cashless system with your credit card registration. For example, when you enjoy shopping at a duty free shop or when you order a cocktail on a special night, pay it with your Costa Card and it will be added to your credit card bill. On the ship, the US dollar is the common currency. We will have you settle all payment on the last day of the trip with cash or credit card (VISA, Master or Amex). In order to avoid a long waiting time when leaving off the ship, we recommend the credit card settlement.

You need to have at least 6 months ahead of expiration date on your passport at the end of the journey.

We are afraid but smoking is prohibited at all inboard section, including cabins and balconies. Please use the smoking area prepared at the lounge. Smoking outside of designed smoking areas may issue a fine.

Yes, tipping is needed. However, a set amount of daily tip is charged automatically to each cabin and you do not have to tip every time. We will have you pay it at the end when settling all charges.

We have doctors and nurses on the ship. The clinic is open during the time indicated on the on-ship newspaper and cabin visit is available for 24 hours. Please pay your medical expenses at the last day settlement. We recommend you to get travel insurance to minimize your medical expenses. We provide only Western motion sickness medicines for free at the reception. Please note that medicines that are familiar to you involve the least risk. We may not welcome infants under 6 months in or women of over 25 weeks of pregnancy.

We unfortunately do not have laundry facilities for guests. Please use the dry cleaning services (extra charge) when you need laundry. Our housekeepers will pick up your laundry if you could put it in the laundry bag with the laundry slip filled out.

●Recommended ItemsA pair of sneakers is a great relief to walk on the large ship. Jackets and sweaters are also handy to have when the wind is chilly on the deck or the AC is too cold in the ship. We also recommend to bring hats, sunglasses, sun screen and binoculars.

Dinner is divided into 2 schedules: the 1st starts at 17:30 and the 2nd starts at 20:00. This dinner schedule is the same every night while you are on the ship. Please discuss with your travel consultant to sign up for your preferred time.

We will have you sign up for the dinner time preference when making a reservation for the users of Premium Room(Inside/Seaside/Seaside Balcony), Mini Suite Room(Window attached/Balcony attached) and Suite Room.

※Persons under 6 months old on the day of board or in or after the 25th week of pregnancy can not attend this tour. Persons under age 20 are subject to attend with their guardians that sleep with them in the same cabin.

※We may have to have you wait for cancellation or not accept your reservation depending on the whole reservation situations.※Mini Suite (window attached), Mini Suite (balcony attached) and Suite (window attached) are equipped with a double-sized bed.※No room sharing is accepted for single passengers.※The tour dates announced on here are subject to change depending on weather and other critical difficulties. ※Lunch is provided even during anchorages.
