SATURDAY KIDS CLASSES

Art Around the World Workshops: NEW!! Instructor: Susan Schneider,NPAA 4 weeks Day/Time: Saturday, 9 AM- 10:30 AM Grades K-3 Start date: 9/29

Or 11 AM – 12:30 PM Grades 4-8 Fee: $68 Description: Explore Art Around the World, stopping in Africa, South America, New Zealand and more. Introducing a variety of mediums and materials we will explore traditional Folk Art techniques. All skill levels welcome. Supplies included in fee.

Introduction to Drawing: Ages 6-10 Instructor: Dan Fione, NPAA 4 weeks Day/Time: Saturday, 9AM – 10:30AM Start Date: 9/29 Fee: $68 Description: This class will teach young artists basic drawing skills; line, tonal values, composition

and basic perspective. Taught by a professional illustrator. Fee includes materials.

Intermediate Drawing for Kids: Ages 10 & up Instructor: Dan Fione, NPAA 4weeks Day/Time: Saturday, 11AM-12:30PM Start Date: 9/29 Fee: $68 Description: Students will continue learning drawing techniques; line, tonal value, composition, perspective and pro-portions from a professional illustrator. Some previous drawing experience helpful but not required. Fee includes mate-

Oil/ Acrylics--Age 10-Adult Instructor: William Letvenko, NPAA 10 weeks. Start Date: 9/29 Time: 11AM-1PM Fee: $129 Description: Beginning and skilled artists will learn basic oil painting techniques, color theory, compo-sition and rules of perspective. Parents are required to attend the first class with school-aged children

to get information regarding materials needed. Fee includes one canvas board.

ADULT CLASSES

Adult Multi Media Instructor: Barbara Moss Buscher, NPAA Day / Time: Tuesday. 7 – 9 PM, 10 weeks. Start Date: 9/25 Fee: $129 Description: Not sure what medium you are interested in? This class is for you. Experiment with various mediums, which may include pen & ink, printmaking, watercolor, alcohol inks, collage, fabric arts, and sculpture you will create original works of art. Learn about different styles and genres of art with each project. All skill levels welcome. A $40 materials fee will be payable to instructor on first night of class. Please bring pencil and notepaper to class.

Watercolor – Age 15 - Adult Instructor: Barbara Moss Buscher, NPAA Day/Time: Monday, 7-9PM, 10 weeks. Start Date: 9/24 Fee: $129 Description: To paint with watercolor is to learn relationships between paint, water, brush, & paper. Specific exercises in color theory will enhance your knowledge and comfort with color. Learn basic composition using a variety of subject mat-ter, including your own photos, still life, and your imagination. Bring pencil & paper to classes. All levels welcome with individual attention given to every student A $70 materials fee payable to instructor at first class. Registration due by 9/10, to allow time for supplies to be ordered. Returning students will explore new techniques and work with their personal in-terests.

The Drawn Narrative – NEW CLASS! Instructor: Caroline Niesley, NPAA Day/Time: Thursday, 7-9 PM, 8 Weeks Start Date: 10/4 Fee: $129 Description: Drawing cartoons, graphic novels, and manga for adults. Learn to tell your story with your own drawings. The class covers penciling, inking, designing and storytelling with pictures. All levels welcome. Supply list at first class.

Drawing Secrets – NEW CLASS! Instructor: Caroline Niesley, NPAA Day/Time: Wednesday, 7-9PM, 8 weeks Start Date: 9/26 Fee: $129 Description: Your drawing skills will improve as you learn atelier/studio methods: line, value, comparative measur-ing and composition. Sketch from casts and figures. All skill levels from beginner to advanced! Supply list first class. $10 model fee payable to instructor at first class.

Fan Art Workshops -NEW

Take one, two or all three. Session one: 10/1 & 10/8 Hollywood Icons: choose either Marilyn Monroe or Steve McQueen Session two: 10/15 & 10/22 Halloween Icons: choose either The Invisible Man, Bride of Frankenstein, or Nosferatu Session three: 11/12 & 11/19 Autumn Reverie: Landscape homage to Grandmom Moses and favorite Fall memories. Supply fee $10 payable to instructor.

Intuitive Painting Workshop -NEW CLASS!

Instructor: Colleen Brand, NPAA Day/Time: Monday, 7-9 PM, 5 weeks Start Date: 9/24 Fee: $83 Description: Intuitive Painting is a liberating experience for all skill levels. This workshop offers a variety of techniques and painting departures to energize your paintings and your life. Using acrylic paints, experiment with layering, adding texture, creating mark-making, and dripping. Explore a series of artistic exercises to support letting go, connecting to your intuition and letting go of judging our work. Supply fee $45 payable to instructor first class. Please register by 9/10 to allow time to order supplies.
