Meet the Duncan-Parnell Training & Technical Support Staff...

Clay Pate, PEClay graduated from NC State University in 1987 with a degree in civil engineering. He spent the next six years working for NCSU Research Institute, where he researched, wrote and developed training materials for engineers and surveyors, including several widely-used publications. He joined Duncan-Parnell in 1999 to provide training and support for survey and mapping clients. As a Trimble Certifi ed Trainer on post-processed surveying and real-time surveying, he has trained hundreds of users on many different applications includ-ing, topographic, staking, marine and integration to third party software. This training has been for all current Trimble land survey GPS/GNSS systems as well as the 5600 and S6 series robotic total stations. Clay has also provided training for other Trimble Navigation dealers and their clients throughout the country.

Mark White, PLS Mark is a licensed NC Pro-fessional Land Surveyor with more than 18 years in the fi eld. In previous positions, he worked as an instrument operator/fi eld engineer in construction layout, and a survey crew chief in heavy highway construction, DOT engineering surveying, and boundary/topographic surveying. Immediately prior to joining our team, he worked as a survey crew coordinator where he trained survey crews on Trimble GPS equipment, Trimble robotic total stations, and Trimble and TDS data collectors. For more than four years, Mark has been a Duncan-Parnell trainer and support specialist for all Trimble land surveying products – both GPS/GNSS and ro-botic total stations. He has conducted training for both Duncan-Parnell customers and for Trimble Navigation dealers' clients nationwide, including private surveyors, DOT’s, municipalities, and military personnel.

Daisy Moore RettaliataDaisy is a Trimble Certifi ed Trainer for the complete line of mapping and GIS products. She has an ex-tensive background in high accuracy GIS integration with Trimble survey grade receivers and software, including Trimble Geomatics Offi ce and Trimble Busi-ness Center, CAD to GIS data conversion, and GIS systems development. Prior to Duncan-Parnell, she worked with a regional ESRI reseller and now has over 10 years of training experience on ArcView and ArcGIS. She enables clients to develop solutions for Mobile GIS and high (survey grade) accuracy in the GIS arena. Of special note, she pioneered a methodology using Trimble survey data collection software that takes existing ArcGIS location data, and updates it to survey grade accuracy for use in ArcGIS. She was also instrumental in making Trimble survey grade receivers work within ArcPad for high accuracy GIS data collection.

Dan Bonenfant, PLSDan has been involved with surveying and civil engineer-ing for more than 25 years. He started in 1983 as a chain man on a construction crew, then worked his way up to a survey manager in charge of 6 fi eld crews. He later moved into the design side of civil engineering, and went on to become a Registered Land Surveyor in South Carolina. In 1995, he added Autodesk soft-ware training and support to his resumé, special-izing in surveying and civil engineering products. In 2001, Dan returned to design and surveying, then joined Duncan-Parnell in 2008 as an AutoCad Application Engineer and primary trainer and support technician for Trimble’s spatial imaging hardware products. These include the VX Spatial Station, GX 3D Scanner and CX 3D Laser Scanner. Dan also provides support and training for the Trimble Spatial Imaging software products including Access, PointScape and RealWorks.
