Witnessing

As we travel around the country producing documentaries, we come in contact with many anthropologists andarcheologists. Often, they are quite astonished that a group of Christians would be interested in documentingthat a dinosaur bone , for example, is millions of years old.You see, the scientist are accustomed to dealingwith uneducated Christians that believe the earth is only 6,000 years old.When the scientist ask us why wewould produce documentaries proving the earth is hundreds of millions of years old, I like to answer, "Becausethe Bible states it is". This message is about witnessing to scientifically educated people.When you make the statement the KJV Bible states that the earth is millions of years old, you have to be able

to back up your words. A unique opportunity to witness for God's Word presents itself, as we break this barrierof separating truth from fiction. When an uneducated Christian attempts to witness to scientist and say theworld is 6,000 years old, they tune them out. The scientist can prove them wrong, and the witness is for naughtfrom that point on. We are going to take a look at some subjects that will hopefully help you witness toscientifically educated people. Let's start with the dinosaur. Yes, there were dinosaurs on earth in the firstworld age, and God's Word records their existence.Job40:15Behold now behemoth, which I made with thee; he eateth grass as an ox.Many scholars claim the behemoth, which is the hippopotamus of today. I challenge you to have a five year olddraw a picture as you describe the animal discussed in the following verses. The picture will not resemble ahippopotamus.

40:16Lo now, his strength [is] in his loins, and his force [is] in the navel of his belly.The navel would be better translated muscles. This animal has a powerful and large main body.

40:17He moveth his tail like a cedar: the sinews of his stones are wrapped together.His sinews, or thighs, are wrapped in muscle. What about his tail? It is as huge as the trunk of a cedar tree.Now, on your picture of the large and powerful main body attach the base of a cedar tree where the tail wouldbe and taper it on out as the trunk of a cedar tree would. Have you ever seen a present day animal with a taillike that?

40:18His bones [are as] strong pieces of brass; his bones [are] like bars of iron.

40:19He [is] the chief of the ways of God: he that made him can make his sword to approach [unto him].Behemoth is the largest animal God created. Dinosaurs are recorded in the Bible. Witness with intelligence.Dinosaurs are extinct, but to deny their previous existence, when complete skeletons have been discovered isfoolishness.

40:20Surely the mountains bring him forth food, where all the beasts of the field play.

40:21He lieth under the shady trees, in the covert of the reed, and fens.The animal described feeds in the mountains. The hippopotamus feeds in the river. And besides this fact, haveyou ever seen a hippo's tail? It is certainly no cedar tree.

40:22The shady trees cover him [with] their shadow; the willows of the brook compass him about.

40:23Behold, he drinketh up a river, [and] hasteth not: he trusteth that he can draw up Jordan into his mouth.When the dinosaur drank water at the river, he wasn't in a hurry due to fear of other animals. Witness with

intelligence. Don't be as the unlearned that turn people off to the Bible, when they say the earth is only 6,000years old. There are three world ages. We are currently living in the second. God created this earth in the firstworld age. The world of today has changed considerably from that which God created. There are petrified palmtrees on a mountaintop in New Mexico that document the fact. Tens of thousands of years earlier the climate inthis area was such that would support tropical plant life. How was the earth when God first created it? Let'sturn to Isaiah.45:18For thus saith the LORD that created the heavens; God himself that formed the earth and made it; he hathestablished it, he created it not in vain, he formed it to be inhabited: I [am] the LORD; and [there is] none else.

"In Vain" is translated from the Hebrew word "tohu". This means void. God did not create the world void. Hecreated the earth to be inhabited, all of it. This explains why we find petrified palm trees in New Mexico. Whathappened to the world God created? Let's turn to Genesis.1:1In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth.When was the beginning?This verse doesn't state God created the earth 6,000 years ago. It was hundreds ofmillions of years ago. Time means nothing to our Father.

1:2And the earth was without form, and void; and darkness [was] upon the face of the deep. And the Spirit of Godmoved upon the face of the waters.The word "was" should be translated "became". God created the earth to be inhabited. The earth became

"tohu". that is to say void. Why? One third of God's children followed Satan at Satan's rebellion (Rev. 12:1-4).Rather than destroy one third of His children, God destroyed the first earth age. II Peter 3:6 also documentsthat the first earth age was destroyed, and continues to declare there will be a third earth age. Don't let anyonetell you that this Scripture is talking about Noah's flood. There was nothing left, when God rocked the world.Let's turn to Jeremiah for a second witness.4:22For my people [is] foolish, they have not known me; they [are] sottish children, and they have noneunderstanding: they [are] wise to do evil, but to do good they have no knowledge.The word "sottish" in this verse means stupid. God's children didn't care enough about Him to study His Word.

4:23I beheld the earth, and, lo, [it was] without form, and void; and the heavens, and they [had] no light.

God is warning His children. It was He that created the earth to be inhabited, destroyed that earth age andcould do it again, if He chose to.

4:24I beheld the mountains, and, lo, they trembled, and all the hills moved lightly.

4:25I beheld, and, lo, [there was] no man, and all the birds of the heavens were fled.Here is your proof that neither II Peter 3, nor these verses, are referring to Noah's flood. When God destroyedthe first age with a flood, no man, bird or animal survived. Noah and his family survived Noah's flood. At leasttwo of each flesh also survived Noah's flood.

4:26I beheld, and, lo, the fruitful place [was] a wilderness, and all the cities thereof were broken down at thepresence of the LORD, [and] by his fierce anger.

4:27For thus hath the LORD said, The whole land shall be desolate; yet will I not make a full end.God kept unto Himself the remnant. Those children that would pass the truth on from generation to generation.Witness the truth to others. God's Word speaks of dinosaurs. God's Word states there was a first, a secondand will be a third earth age. God's Word does not disagree with that which scientist can prove beyond anydoubt. When someone witnesses, or teaches, that the Bible disagrees with these scientific facts, they aredriving people away from God's Word with falsehoods. Be a responsible witness. Witness intelligently.
