Looking back, it’s been a heck of a remarkable ride; from booking amazingly wonderful keynote speakers with important messages for the world to hear, to working with some of the kindest, creative and passionate students and staff at colleges and universities in the US and Canada.   

The relationships we’ve enjoyed and the work itself, have been extraordinarily meaningful to all of us here at Wolfman Productions. 

This year, for the first time in awhile, we made a significant change to the Wolfman Productions roster, significantly reducing the amount of programs we offer, and ONLY representing fantastic presenters who have an important message to give, thereby making the world a better place. 

And you can always count on us to offer the same professional, friendly and helpful service that we have consistently provided, for nearly a quarter of a century.

Jonathan Waterman We’ve all heard of the so‐called “Plastic Garbage Patch” in the Pacific Ocean.  But what’s this Island of Plastic really all about?   In the fall of 2012, the renowned adventurer and conservationist, Jon Waterman, decided to investigate, and embarked on a 2500 mile journey at sea. 

Jon’s lecture shows graphically and with firsthand knowledge ‐‐ through a rollicking sea adventure ‐‐ the true extent of plastic pollution in the world’s oceans.  In an upbeat and positive fashion, he shows how we can work our way out of this crisis and take steps as consumers to eliminate plastic waste.

In his new book and talk, Lost Antarctica – Adventures in a Disappearing Land, Dr. James McClintock ‐‐ Endowed University Professor of Polar Marine Biology at the 

University of Alabama at Birmingham and a principal investigator supported by the National Science Foundation’s Antarctic Division of the Office of Polar Programs– provides a compelling overview of how climate warming is rapidly altering the Antarctic Peninsula.   McClintock has felt the warming sea and air temperatures, and seen first‐hand the glacial recessions, the break‐up of ice sheets, and the rapid retreat of the annual sea ice.

In 2004 José M. Hernández became the first migrant farm worker to become a NASA astronaut.  Born into a migrant farm working family from Mexico, José – who didn’t learn English until he was 12 years old – spent much of his childhood travelling with 

his family from  Mexico to California, picking strawberries, cucumbers, cherries and tomatoes along the way.   On August 28, 2009 José, assigned to the STS‐128 Space Shuttle Discovery mission as the flight engineer, realized his dream of reaching for the stars blasting off into space on a 14 day mission to the International Space Station.  Jose’s inspiring journey of perseverance and hard work is a true fulfillment of the American Dream. 

Ric O’Barry has worked both sides of the dolphin street, the first 10 years with the dolphin captivity industry, the past 38 against it. Working back in the 1960s for Miami Seaquarium, O’Barry captured and trained dolphins, including the five dolphins that played the role of Flipper in the popular TV‐series of the same name.  When Kathy, the dolphin who played Flipper most of the time, died in his arms, O’Barry realized that capturing dolphins and training them to perform silly tricks is simply wrong. The Cove, the documentary featuring O’Barry and his work to free dolphins in Japan, won the Oscar for best feature in 2010.

Daryl Davis has come in closer contact with members of the Ku Klux Klan than most white non‐members and certainly most blacks — short of being on the wrong end of a rope.  His stories of setting up surprise meetings with Klan leaders unaware of his skin color and attending KKK rallies has audiences riveted to their seats in disbelief. Daryl’s impassioned lectures leave an audience feeling empowered to confront their own prejudices and overcome their fears. They leave the lecture seeking and hopefully finding a common ground, to help forge peace with their most unlikely adversaries.

Robert Clift When young whites embrace rap and hip‐hop culture, is it an example of America moving toward being a colorblind society, or is it just another case of cultural theft and mockery? 

That’s the fundamental question of Robert Clift’s provocative documentary, Blacking Up: Hip‐Hop’s Remix of Race and Identity, which aired on PBS stations across the country in January 2010.   Robert received his Ph.D. in Communication and Culture from Indiana University and teaches in the Department of Communication at Southern Oregon University.

Haider Hamza was born and raised under the rule of Saddam Hussein’s dictatorship.  His powerful talks include poignant and touching visuals from his experience in war‐torn Iraq.  Haider’s strong, and sometimes surprising, views on the conflict in his country, the presence of US troops in the Middle East and his ongoing personal struggle to heal reflect his complex and nuanced understanding of conflict.  A year after Haider graduated from Baghdad University, he was awarded a Fulbright scholarship and moved to New York City where he obtained a Master's degree in Global Security & Conflict Resolution. Today, he is strongly committed to raising awareness among young people about the long‐term effects of war, the universality of our humanity, and our capacity for peace and reconciliation.

Dr. Joseph Sebarenzi 

Michael Fosberg’s “Incognito” 

Dr. Joseph Sebarenzi, former head of the Rwanda Parliament, has endured tragedy most of us cannot fathom. He lost both his parents, seven siblings, and numerous other relatives in the Rwandan genocide of 1994. Yet, years later, as a senior government official in a position to exact revenge, he instead pushed for peace and reconciliation.  Dr. Sebarenzi  is the author of God Sleeps in Rwanda:  A Journey of Transformation.  For his college lectures, Sebarenzi tells his dramatic and historic story, and imparts a message of peace and forgiveness.  

Incognito is a one‐hour theatrical presentation that takes audiences on a compelling journey while covering issues of race, identity, diversity, and 

stereotypes. Writer/actor Michael Fosberg inhabits over a dozen characters as he masterfully tells the true story of finding his biological father. Raised in a working‐class white family, Michael discovers at age thirty‐two that his long‐lost father is actually African‐American. This entertaining and enlightening tale of self‐discovery challenges audiences to carefully examine their assumptions about others.

Scholar and writer Erin Kamler discusses human trafficking and its effect on women across the globe. Situating her analysis in the context of globalization, Erin explains how neoliberal capitalist practices and crises’ on the international stage have led to the rise of sex tourism and exploitation of women’s labor in the global criminal economy.  Based on her extensive fieldwork in Thailand ‐‐ which includes over 30 interviews with members of the anti‐trafficking NGO community, government and UN officials, human rights advocates working on the ground and trafficking survivors themselves ‐‐  Erin illustrates the factors that contribute to trafficking, and how the circumstances of trafficking affect women in their everyday lives.  

Dr. Kassalow is the CEO and Founder of VisionSpring.   Forbes Magazine named him to their Impact 30 list, as one of the top 30 social entrepreneurs in the world.   VisionSpring is a social enterprise that enables everyone in the developing world to have access to affordable quality eyeglasses.

The Race Experience Kiosk offers a truly unique diversity event.  You can see yourself in a different skin; change your race to Black, White, Asian, Hispanic, Middle Eastern and Indian. A museum quality exhibit, the kiosk’s software provides a personal, one‐of‐a‐kind race morphing experience, creating an environment that encourages discussions about race, racism and identity and our deep‐routed beliefs, misconceptions and biases. 

Shane Bitney Crone is an activist, writer and filmmaker.  Following the death of his partner Tom Bridegroom in 2011, Shane created a YouTube video about the 

experience that went viral with almost three million hits.  The clip revealed the injustices he experienced after losing his partner and love of his life and inspired people around the world to join Shane’s pursuit of marriage equality.  Along with filmmaker Linda Bloodworth Thompson, Shane produced a full‐length documentary, Bridegroom, A Love Story, Unequaled, which will be released this fall.  Shane also works alongside organizations like GLAAD and the Human Rights Campaign to promote equality and was awarded the Harvey Milk Civil Rights Award in 2012.

Dave Zamansky

l Dave Stevens was born in 1966 without legs.  In High School, he played football, baseball and wrestled, and set three Arizona state records: most takedowns in a single wrestling season, most career baseball walks, and also the season record for walks.   He is the only congenital amputee to ever play college football or minor league baseball. Dave has worked at ESPN for 15 years in various roles and is currently the assignment desk manager where his team is responsible for coordinating coverage for all sports teams in the US.

Dr. Rachel Alicia Griffin has been actively involved in the movement against gender violence for almost ten years. Rachel’s passion for gender violence advocacy is derived from her personal experience as a survivor and serving as an advocate for others.  Holding a Ph.D. in Intercultural Communication and Diversity in Higher Learning from the University of Denver and a Professor of Speech Communication at Southern Illinois University, Rachel is dedicated to generating social consciousness. Regarding gender violence as tragic, unnecessary, and systemic she understands that raising awareness is a personal and social responsibility that she holds close to her heart.

Steve Thompson, author of No More Fear has been a national figure on the subject of sexual assault, sexual harassment, and stalking for several years. The success and popularity of his programs is unparalleled.  

His unique approach is a result of 30 years of research and street experience involving hundreds of interviews with survivors and offenders. He has presented over 1,500 programs dealing with sexual assault, stalking, relationship violence, workplace violence, and harassment throughout the country. Steve is an associate professor and the Sexual Aggression Services Coordinator at Central Michigan University.

Lorraine Warren 2013 marks 45 years of lecturing on the college circuit for Lorraine Warren.  Her  intensive research on over 5000 cases of reported phenomena throughout the 

world has convinced Lorraine of the existence of ghosts, demons, witches, Satanists, vampires and werewolves.  She has delved into such areas as voodoo, exorcisms and possessions, Satanism, curses, reincarnation, human combustion, psychic photography, séances, telepathy and many other “occult” sciences. The 2013 summer blockbuster, “The Conjuring” was based on one of Lorraine’s most intense cases.

What will you do when faced with the question of voting for or against gay marriage?  This national debate is far from over.  It will dominate the political arena and the election cycles for years to come.   Some Washington lawmakers have already introduced a bill to amend the United States Constitution and ban gay marriage. The debate – between Cheryl Jacques and John H. Rogers – is sure to attract a big audience on your campus, as this debate is not over by a long shot! 

Does God Exist? A Divine Debate 

This debate pushes the boundaries of our faith and how we believe. While three of the world’s most widespread religions, Islam, Judaism, and Catholicism, sit atop the headlines, there are no clear answers to who’s right and who’s wrong.   Dr. Michael Shermer, founder of the Skeptics Society squares off against Dr. Doug Geivett, professor of theology at Biola University. They challenge the audience to look directly into the eye of their beliefs and affirm their faith in God or to cast religion aside as an outdated way to explain the unexplainable.

Debate on Pornography Is pornography an addictive and destructive habit, or a window to a fun fantasy world?  Is it degrading to women or a source of empowerment? Any way you answer these questions, pornography is everywhere and a multi‐billion dollar industry in the US.  Pairing up porn industry veterans Ron Jeremy or Nina Hartley against Craig Gross of XXX Church or Susan Cole, author, playwright and activist; who are opposed to pornography.  The industry and its effects on women and society are examined.
