STREETKIDS is an empowering story of nine Indian girls who are chosen by
Karunalaya Social Service Society to represent their country at the Street Child
World Cup 2018 in Moscow, Russia. The Street Child World Cup uses the power
of soccer to raise awareness and tackle the widespread stigma faced by street-
connected children, inspiring countries, governments and communities to better
protect, respect and support street-connected children worldwide. All the girls
have a history of living on the streets, where they faced abuse and violence on a
daily basis. The film showcases the girls as inspiring role models and highlights
their positive spirits, in addition to showing the uplifting side and power of sport.
