Dallas MonroeDallas has been working with the Estevan Com-prehensive School for the past 19 years in sev-eral different capacities – educational assistant at the Alternative School, library assistant and for the past fi ve years as administrative assis-tant in the ECS offi ce. Dallas’ commitment and dedication to her work at ECS has made her a great colleague who has been benefi cial to both students and staff. She is competent, friendly, courteous, effi cient, energetic, enthusiastic and extremely creative, dedicated and passionate. When it come to extracurricular activities, she has spent hundreds of hours co-ordinating cos-tumes for ECS musicals.

Linda MurphyLinda has been Administrator for the Estevan Woodlawn Golf Club since 2007 but has been employed in various positions at the club for over 20 years. Linda has strong written and ver-bal communication skills, is a problem solver, is creative, has top notch organizational and computer skills and has a wicked sense of hu-mour. She considers her fellow employees as her “teammates” and treats employees, mem-bers and customers with respect. Due to ex-treme fl ooding at Woodlawn, since July 2011 Linda has selfl essly donated her home to house the day-to-day operations of the Estevan Wood-lawn Golf Club.

Linda ScottLinda has worked for Border Insulators and Bobbi Hairstyling since 1983 as offi ce manager/administrator and also operates her own book-keeping business, Scott Offi ce Management. She is professional, articulate and meticulous in all that she does. Linda is a team leader, very well organized, a multi-tasker and knows the of-fi ce, shop and fi eld business inside and out. With her pleasant, cheerful and very patient manner, she is very easy to work with and has risen to the many challenges the companies have expe-rienced through the last 29 years.

Candyce BellAs owner of Bell Medical Aesthetics, Candyce’s goal is to make people feel better about themselves. Her vision for a clinic that catered to indi-vidual goals and budgets was realized in October 2010, following three years of intensive research, hard work and aesthetic training. The clinic’s staff is professionally trained. Candyce is an RN who works emergency at St. Joseph’s. She is a mom with two active teenage daughters and a hockey-crazy 8-year-old son. Candyce is a community volunteer who keeps very active herself, balancing work and family.

Tracey DaymanTracey Dayman began her business career as part owner of a construc-tion company. Currently she owns Horizon Insurance Agencies which bought Estevan and Weyburn Co-operative Insurance companies in 2007. She is studying to advance her knowledge of insurance brokerage, life and investment and fi nancial planning. A confi dent, pleasant individual, Tracey communicates well, keeping the offi ce running smoothly. She val-ues team work, always keeping her clients’ best interests in mind. Tracey balances business, study and personal time, she enjoys camping, golfi ng, wine making and travel.

Dawn KlassenDawn, owner of All Creatures Great and Small, is a dedicated animal behaviour specialist. She is passionate about her family, husband Jim and three children. From a modest part time beginning, Dawn can now ac-commodate nearly 60 canines. She boards, grooms, trains, rescues, shows and breeds dogs, while educating and mentoring her staff. Her outreach is widespread including children and seniors alike. She has trained 17 therapy dogs, and started a petting zoo. Dawn continues to search for new ways to serve her community.

Dr. Sarah SlivaDr. Sarah Sliva, a 2009 graduate of the University of Waterloo, is owner of South East Eyecare. She began with a vision and saw it fulfi lled in six months, while balancing home life with husband Kevin and twin sons Quintin and Luke. Her dedication, patient-fi rst attitude often has her working evenings and weekends for eye care emergencies. Sarah promotes optometry at career fairs in schools and as a mentor to those wanting to know more. Sarah’s hard work with a staff of six, gives a positive atmosphere to a thriving business. She is dedicated to all of her clients.

Tina BirdTina Bird is being recognized as a volunteer whose passion and level of enthusiasm energizes any organization she becomes involved in. The list is impressive! Since moving to Estevan in 1998, she has provided her time and talents with the Estevan United Way, Estevan Legion and served as president for Estevan Youth and Mini Soccer. Currently Tina is involved with Estevan Relay For Life, Army Cadets, Victim Support Services, Lions Club, ECS School Community Council, and also is a board member with the Southeast Unit of the Canadian Cancer Society. Tina’s organizational and leadership skills have enhanced the lives of many people in our com-munity.

Wanda HarronWanda is a visionary. She possesses dedication, determination and drive to make things happen in her community. After moving to Estevan in 1994, she volunteered with the Estevan Bruins, Scouts and Minor Soccer. When Estevan Mi-nor Football began, Wanda was there helping the club establish roots. She has coached atom, peewee and bantam and plans to continue at the high school level. She is a knowledgeable coach who treats all players with respect. She volun-teers her time with the Estevan Minor Football board of directors and serves as an adviser to the ECS team. Last year Wanda nominated Estevan Minor Football for the Kraft/TSN Celebration Tour. Wanda sparks our community to be suc-cessful, giving her best in all she does!

Sharon StreggerSharon has been described as a selfl ess volunteer in our community. She has been a faithful vol-unteer with the Estevan and District Music Fes-tival for the past 11 years. Sharon will volunteer her time to do any job necessary to ensure the festival runs smoothly. She is also a dedicated member of her church, known to share her time with her church family by providing service, whether it be serving lunches, providing sup-port to others or cleaning the building. Finally, Sharon volunteers with the Palliative Care Pro-gram. Her caring, nurturing spirit enables her to comfort others in times of need. Sharon is a reli-able community member who goes above and beyond to make our community a better place to live.

Amber DechiefAmber, an honour roll student, debater, musician, dancer and active com-munity leader, is involved in a variety of school and community activi-ties. She is described as conscientious, enthusiastic, persistent, and car-ing. Amber participated in debates at the provincial and national level and her involvement with Relay For Life has provided opportunity for her to share her speaking, organizing and problem solving skills. Amber lives and leads by example and her passion and optimism are said to be contagious.

Bailey HolzerBailey is an outgoing, friendly, hard-working Grade 12 honour roll stu-dent who has been actively involved in her school and community. She is passionate about horses and has been an avid Rodeo Club participant. Bailey is an athlete, a dancer, a musician, an artist and a volunteer who has been active in school musicals, water sports and mission work. She is known as a team player who brings a positive attitude and creative confi -dence to anything she does.

Kaylee MacKenzieKaylee is an extremely active young lady who is involved in numerous clubs and extracurricular activities at ECS and in the community. She has been involved in two school musicals, the radio show, sports teams and Mini Relay For Life to name a few. She is a Grade 11 student who maintains a 95% average despite her busy schedule. Kaylee is a musician, an athlete, a dancer and a volunteer committed to helping in any way she can.

Kelci LittleKelci is an athlete, a musician, and a dedicated honour roll student who has contributed to her school and community in a variety of ways. She has been a valuable asset to volleyball and basketball teams at ECS, serves as Vice-President of the SRC, and participates in a variety of capacities with the band program. Kelci is described as a gentle, mature, natural leader who regularly volunteers her time to assist others in thoughtful and caring ways.

Larissa SmeltzerLarissa, a Grade 12 student, has been described as a mature, caring in-dividual with a passion for life. She has been actively involved in her school and the community. Larissa is an athlete who has contributed to her school and club teams, winning awards for her efforts. She has coached, served as a referee and been an advocate for social justice.
