USTFCCCA RankingsNEW ORLEANS—Since voting on the preseason

poll in August, Division III coaches have had three weeks to evaluate results from across the nation for the first Regional Team Rankings of the season, released Tuesday afternoon by the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Associa-tion (USTFCCCA).

While the status quo remained largely intact, Tuesday’s rankings saw a number of new region-ally ranked teams installed ahead of Wednesday’s release of the National Coaches Polls.

For the women, the list of debutants is as follows: RIT and Stevens Institute (Atlantic); Lebanon Valley, Susquehanna, Gettysburg, Mi-sericordia and Waynesburg (Mideast); Loras and St. Thomas (Minn.) (Central); St. Norbert and Augustana (Ill.) (Midwest); Washington & Lee and Roanoke (South/Southeast); and UC Santa Cruz, and Redlands (West).

The Green Knights were ranked 6th in the Mid-west region thanks to several strong showings in the first month of the season. The SNC Women have beaten three pre-season regionally ranked teams over the course of the last three weeks to leap from unranked to their current position!

The USTFCCCA regional rankings archive only goes back to 2010, but this is the highest rank-ing ever achieved by a St. Norbert Cross Country team(the previous best was 8th).

NCAA Division III Regional Championships will be held around the country Saturday, November 15.
