We are looking forward to
Welcoming a unique panel
of experts for our March
14, 2013 meeting. The
changes and challenges of
the past few years have
created an urgency around
the topic of reassessment
of what our industry needs
to do to thrive in the fu-
ture. It is clear that we will
need to continue to adapt
and respond to a variety of
challenges and threats both
from within and outside
our traditional boundaries.
Weve put together a panel
of experts from the Resi-
dential & Commercial Real
Estate sectors as well as
the Title Industry, Legal
Profession and leaders from
various parts of the State of
Michigan to share their
unique perspectives on
some of the issues they
believe we need to be
aware of as we Re-Think
the future of the real estate
industry in Michigan.
This thought-provoking and
engaging discussion will be
an important one for any-
one who wants to build
their business and chart a
new course forward.

everything including the family
and community. As individuals
who serve the public good, we
all appreciate how important it
is to maintain good relation-
ships with our clients.
Well, this is also important
with members of our real es-
tate community. WCR has
grown to become the 12thlargest Business Referral Net-
work in the nation. I believe
one reason this has happened
is because relationship building
is at the core of what we
strive to do. As a result, help-
ing one another to build and
grow our business becomes a
One of the most important
Core Values of the Womens
Council of REALTORS is
building strong, healthy rela-
tionships.
This is not easy to do. We
are all different and have dif-
ferent ideas about how things
should be done. But, what
should matter most is that wehonor the dignity and person-
hood within each of us and
strive to operate in a way that
encourages collaboration and
diminishes the negativity of
strife and dissension.
Relationships matter. They
are the basic building block of
natural outflow.
As a local chapter, it is impor-
tant to us that our members
feel welcome and affirmed
when they attend an event or
function. Our arms are open to
embrace new and returning
members because together we
are able to do more than any-
one of us could do on our own
