welcome to the 2011 women’s Summit® Morning and Afternoon Sessions
We invite you to attend the 14th Women’s Summit® at Bryant University on Thursday, March 10. The 2011 Women’s Summit, the power of excellence, will provide you with a day of dynamic professional and personal development.
People have been trying to define and pursue excellence since Confucius in 465 B.C. Aristotle tried to sum up excellence succinctly: “We are what we repeatedly do. Excellence then is not an art but a habit.” Author Terry Yoffe is quoted as saying: “The one ingredient
that turns the ordinary into extraordinary is merely a commitment to excellence.”It seems that we are always jumping through hoops – trying to balance work, family,
and community obligations. Is excellence for us even possible? At the Women’s Summit, you will hear from a number of women who have achieved
excellence in their careers and have overcome seemingly insurmountable obstacles. You can choose from 20 different workshop sessions that will explore leadership, communica-tion, finances, diversity, entrepreneurship, strategic decision making, marketing through technology, and networking. These programs will motivate you to work toward your own goals to achieve excellence in whatever you do.
The mission of the Women’s Summit is to inspire and empower women and men so that they can advance professionally, develop personally, and provide leadership in their communities, the nation, and the world. This event would not be possible without the generosity of our sponsors whose financial support makes it such a great value. Their commitment to excellence, along with the efforts of the Women’s Summit Co-chairs, Women’s Summit Committee, and Bryant University faculty, staff, and students, will result in an enriching educational experience for you.
Please join us at the 14th Women’s Summit on Thursday, March 10, 2011, and experience the power of excellence.
Sincerely,
Kati MachtleyDirector, Women’s Summit®, Bryant University
