This beautiful lounge bar is on the third floor of the brand new Borgomolino prosecco headquarter. A special place where to look at the historic vineyard and taste the famous wine and food from the Veneto region in Italy. We have developed a signature 3D cladding that defines the space of the counter and the show kitchen covering both vertical and horizontal surfaces around the large transparent window.

For this project, Il Prisma Studio

decided to work with Wood-Skin to

create a big smart vertical wall that

becomes a suspended ceiling and

then a counter’s shield.

From the concept “The working solar system” the Italian architects’ studio Il Prisma decided to renovate the headquarter of the famous working network

Linkedin in Madrid.The geometrical pattern was studied to work together with Linkedin’s special graphic and interactive wall, a contemporary looking reception designed and build

with cutting edge technologies.

Thanks to the experience of INDEXLAB in computational design and algorithmic modeling, it was possible to study new generative algorithms capable of discretize and approximate curved surfaces into flat geometries; for Arches Pavilion, the structure, three meters high with a footprint of about four meters, is made up of 202 different two-dimensional elements of WOOD-SKIN assembled together, directly on site, with hidden bolted connections.

The pavilion composed by three vertical elements, curvilinear columns merged together into a single object. The visual and spatial perception changes with the observation point, inviting the visitor to a 360 degrees exploration.WOOD-SKIN, besides being an innovative solution for three-dimensional walls and suspended ceilings, can be applied as a free-form casserole to contain the cast of reinforced concrete for the construction of structural elevation elements in buildings.
