It’s movie night! Join us Friday, January 10th at 6:30 pm for Toy Story 4. Doors open at 6:10 pm. We
are still in need of a few volunteers to help bag popcorn before the movie. Please click here if you can help out.
The Woodland PTO will be holding its next meeting on Monday, January 13th at 6:30 pm in the Wood-
land LMC. All parents are welcome and free childcare is provided. The 5th grade music and 5th grade band concert will be held on Tuesday, January 14th at 6:30 pm. On Friday, January 24th, all intermediate students will be released at 11:20 am. Woodland Intermediate School parent/teacher conferences will be held on Wednesday, January 29th
and Thursday, January 30th. A note was sent home with your child this week that contains the link and code for your child’s homeroom teacher. Specials teachers will be available in their classrooms for drop-in conferences. Note: If you are scheduling more than one child please leave a buffer between appointments.
Woodland skate night at Skate City will be held on Tuesday, January 21st from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm. As we approach the end of the second quarter, please be aware that the “Grades” tab in Infinite Cam-
pus will be closed to parents starting on January 17th and opening again on January 28th after 5:00 pm. Closing the “Grades” tab allows teachers the opportunity to enter student grades and create the pro-gress reports. On January 28th you can access your child’s report card via Infinite Campus. Please note that when reviewing your student’s report card, teacher comments do not show up in the portal when looking at the main Grades screen. They do, however, if you access the Reports screen. From there, you can generate a report card in pdf format that will have all the comments. If you need to set up your parent portal account in Infinite Campus, please click here.
The Box Top competition is on, so keep saving those box tops! More information will be coming soon!
Not only do the box tops earn money for the school, also the class bringing in the most box tops will win a prize! You can help make the counting easier by cutting them out on the dotted lines (the box top com-pany is very strict about this) and put them in groups of 50 into Ziploc bags. Also, expired box tops are not eligible. Thank you!
Save the date! Family Fun Night is set for Friday, February 28th. The 5th and 6th grade theme for the
basket raffle is “gift cards”. Gift cards can be sent in now through January 29th. Thank you for your support!
Adult School Crossing Guard Recognition week is the week of January 13th. Dedicated adult crossing
guards provide an invaluable service in helping to ensure that students in the Kimberly Area School Dis-trict get safely to and from school everyday, often times during peak traffic hours and in harsh weather. Please take a moment to thank a crossing guard that you may know

All students are invited to participate in Comfy clothes or Pajama Day on
January 31 for Spirit Day.
There is a PTO meeting on January 13 (Monday) at 6:30 pm in the LMC. Free childcare is provided and
all parents are invited. Join us!
Mark your calendar for Family Movie Night on January 10 at 6:30 pm in the Gymnasium. The movie this year is Toy Story 4. Kids can wear their pajamas, bring a sleeping bag or blanket and a water bottle. Popcorn will be provided by Tom’s Drive-In. A few volunteers are needed. Click here to help. See you there!

Lunch Supervisors Needed
Are you looking for a part-time job while your children are
in school? Become a lunch supervisor! This job allows
you to get your children off to school in the morning,
leaving a few hours to complete errands and chores (or
just relax) and still lets you to be there when they get
home from school. The hours are approximately 10:45 to
1:15 and you can work as many as five days or as few as
one day per week. The schedule follows the school year
calendar so when your children don’t have school you
don’t work. What could be better than that? There’s
more! This paid position offers you the opportunity to
interact with students while they are in the cafeteria and
out on the playground. Have you ever wondered what it’s
really like at school? Come work at Woodland and see!

Are you on our mailing list?
We want to ensure parents of young children (age 0-5) in our District are on our mailing list, so
you can receive information relative to your child’s age group, such as early childhood screening
information or 4K and 5K registration information. We also need to have information for all

Recreational teams are formed
for players, ages 4- adults. Recreational league is a development
program with a primary interest in fun, fitness, and friendships. Activities
emphasize enjoyment and development to foster a love of soccer.
Birth years of 2015 and earlier are eligible to participate. Register early to request and ensure a spot on a roster with your friends as registration will
close when team rosters are full.
Academy program: Interested in
a competitive, educational yet fun environment? Our Academy program offers a higher level of commitment
through advanced training and development models.
Kids born in 2010- 2013, who have already been introduced to soccer and
love it, are encouraged to join. Practices are 2 nights a week and games are on
Saturdays.

Intramural Schedule 2019-20 The intramurals program at Woodland Intermediate is designed to provide our students opportunities to participate in a variety of activities. Children will create memorable moments spending time with friends, developing new friendships, learning new skill sets, and growing their leadership and teamwork ability. All intramurals are 3-4 pm except wrestling which ends at 4:30.
