THE CONTRACT INCLUDES ALL DEMOLITION REQUIRED TOCOMPLETE JOB, AND TO REMOVE AND TO DISPOSE OF ITEMSFROM SITE COMPLETELY IN ACCORDANCE WITH LOCAL LAWS.DO NOT BURN OR BURY ANY DEMOLITION ITEMS ON SITE.CONTRACTOR IS RESPONSIBLE FOR MAKING SITE VISIT TODETERMINE AND VERIFY ALL DEMOLITION REQUIREMENTSPRIOR TO BIDDING. CONTRACTOR SHALL RECYCLE ORDISPOSE OF WASTE PRODUCTS AND PLANT CONTAINERSOFF-SITE IN A RESPONSIBLE MANNER.
2. PERMITS AND FEES REQUIRED FOR ANY DEMOLITIONDISPOSAL WORK MUST BE OBTAINED BY THE CONTRACTOR ATCONTRACTOR'S EXPENSE.
3. THE CONTRACTOR SHALL TAKE PROPER PRECAUTIONS NOTTO DAMAGE EXISTING ADJACENT FACILITIES & STRUCTURESTHAT ARE TO REMAIN. THE CONTRACTOR SHALL RESTOREDISTURBED AREAS TO THEIR ORIGINAL CONDITION TO THESATISFACTION OF THE LANDSCAPE ARCHITECT AND OWNER.ADJACENT STREETS & SIDEWALKS SHALL BE MAINTAINED IN ACLEAN CONDITION, MUD & DUST-FREE.
4. BEFORE BEGINNING ANY EXCAVATION, THE CONTRACTORSHALL CONTACT "MISS UTILITY" AT 1-800-257-7777 OR ONLINEAT www.missutility.net AT LEAST 5 WORKING DAYS PRIOR TOSTARTING WORK TO ARRANGE TO MARK THE HORIZONTALLOCATION OF UNDERGROUND FACILITIES.
5. EXISTING UTILITIES SHOWN ON DRAWINGS ARE BASED ONPUBLISHED DATA AND ARE FOR CONTRACTOR'S CONVENIENCEONLY. THE CONTRACTOR MUST LOCATE & VERIFY ALL SUCHINFORMATION, INCLUDING INFORMATION NOT SHOWN ONPLANS, BY CONTACTING THE INDIVIDUAL UTILITY COMPANY &INVESTIGATING THE SITE TO DETERMINE THE EXACT LOCATIONOF UTILITY LINES & STRUCTURES. THE CONTRACTOR SHALL BERESPONSIBLE FOR REPAIRING, AT HIS OWN EXPENSE, AND TOTHE SATISFACTION OF THE PROJECT OWNER & THE UTILITYOWNER, DAMAGE TO ANY UTILITY CAUSED BY HIS WORK. 6. CONTRACTOR SHALL VERIFY ALL CONDITIONS ANDDIMENSIONS AT THE JOB SITE PRIOR TO START OFCONSTRUCTION. IF DISCREPANCIES ARE FOUND, NOTIFY THELANDSCAPE ARCHITECT IMMEDIATELY FOR CLARIFICATION.
7. SEE DRY UTILITY DRAWINGS FOR WIRING AND ROUTING OFSTREET LIGHTS AND ASSOCIATED EQUIPMENT.
8. CONTRACTOR SHALL PROTECT FROM ALL DAMAGE EXISTINGTREES TO REMAIN.
9. COLORED CONCRETE COLOR TO BE CHOSEN FROM MFGFULL RANGE AND FINAL COORDINATION WITH DCPL.
10. SEE STRUCTURAL DRAWINGS FOR DETAILS OF REINFORCEDCONCRETE RETAINING WALLS ON THE EAST SIDE. THOSEWALLS TO HAVE A SMOOTH RUBBED FINISH.
11. PROPOSED COMPACTION AND SUBSURFACE CONDITIONSTO BE CONFIRMED BY GEOTECHNICAL ENGINEER. SHOULDUNSUITABLE SOIL CONDITIONS BE ENCOUNTERED CONTACTTHE LANDSCAPE ARCHITECTURE AND CIVIL ENGINEER FORDIRECTION.
