From the Principal Class Team…
Dear Parents/Carers and Students, It is with great sadness that we inform you of the passing of one of our year three students. We have spoken with the family and offered them the heartfelt sympathy of our whole school community. We would like to acknowledge and thank the support of the SSS team (Student Support Services) from the Department of Education and Training who have been based at our school this week to support staff, students and the school community. Until next week, Lyn, Jodi and Nadia Principal Class Team

Walk to School Initiative
Walk Safely to Woodville.
After the success of this year’s ‘National Walk Safely to School’ day Woodville has introduced a ‘Walk Safely to Woodville’ day where we invite our school community to walk together to school each Friday. On this day, staff will meet students at 3 drop off areas and walk together.
This week, there will be staff members meeting students at Aqua Pulse, the Heaths Road skate park and at the Hoppers Crossing shops (near Paul’s Bakery) where they will walk together with students and families. Teachers will leave these three meeting points at 8:30am.
I have set up a survey to find out about people's interest in setting up a pick up / drop off area at school. Please click on the link below and complete this short survey. Your input is valuable and we appreciate the time taken to do this.

This term the students have been learning about Aboriginal Culture. We
have been reading Dreamtime stories and learning about the different
meanings. These photos are of the students using paint to create dot
paintings of Australian animals.

Malmsbury Camp
On Wednesday 23rd August, 40 very excited students from the Grade 3/4s arrived at
Werribee Station before departing to Malmsbury Camp. After two trains and a bus,
we all arrived at Malmsbury. Students experienced activities that developed their
resilience, ability to initiate cooperation and teamwork. They all enjoyed a range of
different foods cooked by the amazing staff at DOXA camp Malmsbury. It was a
tiring but fun and memorable camp for all. I’m sure the children all slept well when
they returned on the Friday afternoon.
