There is also another free plugin for hiding the site. 1. Look for "UnderConstruction" plugin, install it and activate.

2. Choose "Under Construction".

3. Choose "On" to activate the "under construction" mode.

4. Choose your HTTP Status Code.

5. Set up the access you your website.
