I was impressed with Charlotte’s ability to
look and be interested (sounds strange but I

What makes a good placement
1.Where can I get to?
2.What do I want to do for a career?
3.Who do I know who can help me?
4.What do I need to do next?
If your child has not organised their own placement by Christmas, then please step in
and help them or send them to me

Army camp
1. Students have 6th – 10th July out of school for EITHER army camp OR work experience
2. Army camp cannot guarantee places
3. ALL students must arrange a work experience placement
If army camp place is offered => can do placement during school holidays, or politely write to employer
• Things to note:– Students are not permitted to accept wages whilst on work experience
as this invalidates the insurance.– Students are expected to work hours typical for that particular
organisation – these hours may be longer and/or different to school hours.
– Students are expected to comply with the health and safety regulations of the organisations in which they are working and employers will ensure that students are briefed at the beginning of the placement.
– Some employers do not take students for work experience. This may be because:- The company will not allow them to- Age restrictions- Confidentiality- CRB
Process between now, the placement and beyond:
