Description

Sales Force Automation project functionality is similar to a lightweight CRM

application. The Application helps to automate all the sales related activities of

the organization. This project basically helps to keep all the sales process in one

place.

Core module of the project is to Define and Manage Sales opportunities

identified by Sales executives. As the Sales Force distributed in the field visit

prospective clients, their actions are regularly being updated in the system. This

allows management to get a full perspective of sales prospects in their product

areas and regions.

This project has a multi-tire J2EE architecture. It uses Struts 1.1 at front end,

business logic is implemented in plain Java Beans and it has MySQL server as

relational database. The project has a well-designed Database Access Layer that

provides the necessary persistence mechanism to business logic.

Academic Responsibility as Programme Leader

Keep the Programme Structure contemporary and updated in consultation with Area

Head for approval of Board of Studies and Academic Council.

To market his/her programme in association with Admissions Department.

To prepare programme calendar/Academic Calendar.

To plan and conduct orientation programme in line with the academic objectives.

Assign mentors to all students of programme.

To finalize the faculty (Core/Visiting) for each course for the semesters in consultation

with HODs and forward the final list for approval.

To ensure availability of the Teaching/Learning Strategy & Course Plan of all the courses

relating to the programme, for printing of session plans, if applicable.

In consultation with HODs and Library, ensure that sufficient stock of texts and reference

books are available pertaining to the programme.

Schedule the classes and monitoring daily progress of classes taken by faculty.

To implement the academic schedule as issued and keep interacting with the entire

faculty teaching courses.

To make alternative arrangements in consultation with HOD, if a faculty is not available

for his/ her courses.

To record daily attendance of students and monitor their performance on an ongoing

basis.

To arrange for Industry visits and Guest lectures for his/her programme in coordination

with CRC.

To ensure displaying attendance status of all students on monthly basis.

Arrange External /Internal paper setters in consultation with concerned HOD & Faculty

members.

In consultation with the Director (Academic)/ HODs and after obtaining the approval of

the Director, arrange for the participation of the External Examiners as per University

guidelines.

To convene course review meetings of faculty members under Director's chairmanship

during the semesters.

To ensure that the faculty completes the continuous evaluation as per the assessment

scheme given in the details course plans as issued at the beginning of the course. Any

deviation should be brought to the notice of Director.

To provide list of students who do not fulfill minimum attendance criteria to programme

Director/Director (Academic)/ HOD at least two weeks before commencement of exams.

To assist Programme Director/Director (Academic)/HOD to prepare and maintain all the

records required by AUUP.

To ensure that the continuous evaluation and evaluation of end-semester examination is

completed in time and sent to AUUP.

Coordinate with Assistant Registrar/ Controller of Examinations for finalization of

results.

To ensure that Summer Internship, dissertation, term paper grade are forwarded by the

faculty and scrutinize before forwarding to Assistant Registrar /Exam Department as per

date in the academic diary.

To ensure that the students of their programme pay the fees by due date and follow up

with the defaulters to pay the fees.

To ensure that all the reports related to programme are prepared and submitted to

University as per the guidelines and deadline.
