Activity: I met my project facilitator, Mr. LeBlanc for the first.Commentary: Explained what the project entitled me to do.Activity: This was the first time that I went in and actually worked with the students.Commentary: I went in during their reading math time. I helped them with their reading assignment, and helped Mrs. LeBlanc grade the students’ math assignment Activity: I went in and observed Mr. LeBlanc teaching.Commentary: This was pretty much me going in to see what I would be doing.
Activity: This was a meeting I set up with my facilitator to discuss dates. We decided it would be a good idea for me to make a lesson plan for the students for something, she calls Calendar Time.Commentary: She gave me a copy of her lesson plans to learn from.
Activity: This time I went and observed Mrs. LeBlanc teaching the students Calendar Time. I also watched her conduct a reading circle.Commentary: This helped me to understand Calendar Time so I was prepared to make a lesson plan.Activity: In this time I actually typed up the lesson plans to make them look professional. Commentary: I felt typing them was necessary.
Comment/Suggestions:It went well, but at this point I was not exactly sure on all the details of my project.
I really enjoyed working hand on with the kids, and it actually made me excited that I chose this as my project.
It was very helpful.
I ran into a problem here because her lesson plans on Calendar time were too basic for me to understand. We decided to go with a different route.
Mrs. LeBlanc gave me a list of standards students must know in order to pass; this was good information that I could use in my presentationThis was good to see how lesson plans were to be set up in a professional way.

9/2011- 3/2012 (one hour)
Activity: This was final day. I used this time to be in there all day with the students I taught them Calendar Time, and then read them a story and went over the literary elements of the story with them. I also used this day to take a majority of my work log photos.Commentary: This was a great learning experience for me and it actual went a lot better than I thought it would.
Activity: I added in this hour to show for all the communication I did with my facilitator to plan everything out. Commentary: We communicated through e-mail
On this day I really realized that teaching is what I want to. The day went very smoothly and naturally; I actually has fun with the kids.
There was a small problem with communication, and that was due to timing. Mrs. LeBlanc only checked her email during school hours, and I could only check my email after school hours; so I just had to make sure everything was planned ahead of time.
