SUMMARY
In July and August 2001, a soil sampling survey was completed over the Ranger Township Property of Ansil Resources Limited, located in the Red Lake District of Ontario. Samples were routinely taken at 25 metre intervals along chained and flagged compass lines. Four of the six lines were established along existing claim lines. All lines were located accurately by G.P. S and tied in with existing claim posts. The samples were shipped to XRAL Laboratories in Toronto, Ontario, and analyzed using the Mobile Metal Ion (MMI) precious metal suite of elements. The survey was carried out in follow-up to encouraging trends of anomalous gold values, encountered in a previous MMI survey completed by Ansil in 2000.
The survey identified a northeast-southwest trending, zone within the claim group, which commonly contains geochemically anomalous values in nickel, cobalt, and silver. Gold and palladium values appear concentrated locally within the zone.
Outcrop is absent from the area of prime interest. A 1978 government airborne EM and Magnetic survey for the area indicates a zone of elevated magnetic response extending into the target area from the northeast. A previous ground magnetic survey by Beth Canada (1980) located a magnetic high extending south from the government airborne magnetic high.
Detail follow-up is warranted to explain the significance of the observed multi-element geochemical anomaly. It is suggested a control grid be established over the target geochemical anomaly. Detail soil geochemical sampling and ground geophysics (Magnetometer, V.L.F, and possibly horizontal - loop EM or IP.) should be completed over the control grid.

SUMMARY REPORT
MMI SOIL GEOCHEMICAL SURVEY - RANGER TOWNSHIP PROPERTY,ONTARIO
INTRODUCTION
In July 2001, a MMI soil geochemical survey was completed along chained and flagged, compass lines within the Ranger Township claim block, located on the west side of Ranger lake, in the Red Lake mining district of Ontario.
452 soil samples were collected on six east-west lines and one north-south line. Samples were routinely taken at 25 metre intervals. Four of the six sample lines were oriented along existing claim lines.
PROPERTY OWNERSHIP
The Ranger Township property consists of Sunpatented mineral claims comprising 70 units. Claim tag numbers are: 1184990,1184991, 1184992, 1234562, and 1234563. Ansil Resources Ltd holds the claims 1000xo.
LOCATION AND ACCESS
The claims lie along the western boundary of Ranger Township, approximately 14 km east of the town of Red Lake. A system of logging roads provides access to within 400 meters of the north boundary of the claim block. Another logging road passes within 600 metres of the south boundary of the claim block. Access during the current program was by boat from Gullrock Lake north along the river into Ranger Lake, to the eastern side of the claim group.
GENERAL GEOLOGY
The Ansil Resources property is located in the east extension of the Red Lake greenstone belt. Mafic volcanics predominate south of the property and in the south 1/3 of the property. A large granite stock is located northeast of the claim group. Outcrop is lacking in the central sector of the claim block, where the contact between these two major rock units has been interpreted to pass. An area of "noisy" elevated magnetic response occurs in the central part of the claim block, proximal to the interpreted granite contact, and may indicate the local presence of mafic intrusive(s).

HISTORY AND PREVIOUS WORK
In 1946, Found Lake Mines Limited owned a property straddling the Balmer/Ranger Townships boundary. They carried out a ground magnetic survey, geological mapping, and 884 m of diamond drilling in 15 holes. 9 of the 15 holes were located on the Ranger township side of the boundary in the southwest corner of the current Ansil Resources property. At the same time Lauder Red Lake mines held ground south and west of the Found Lake property. Lauder Red Lake reportedly carried out geological mapping and drilled 1580 metres of diamond drilling in adjacent Balmer Township. In 1959 Cordoba Mines Limited completed one 246-metre diamond drill hole in Ranger Township in the southwest corner of the Ansil property.
Also in the southwest corner of the Ansil claim group, in 1969 - 1970, Cochenour Willans Gold Mines Limited, completed detailed ground electromagnetic and magnetometer surveys and 555 metres of diamond drilling in 9 holes in follow-up to an earlier airborne geophysical survey. Most holes intersected variable amounts of pyrite and pyrrhotite, as stringers, veins and semi-massive zones within mafic volcanics and associated interflow sediments. Minor chalcopyrite was recorded to be locally present. Assays were not reported in reports filed for assessment credit.
The Ontario Government flew an airborne electromagnetic and magnetic survey over the Red Lake belt in 1979.
In 1980, Beth Canada completed a ground magnetic survey in the east-central section of the property. It is assumed the groundwork was in follow-up to the government airborne survey. No further work was reported until Ansil acquired their claim position in 2000.
In 2000, Ansil Resources completed preliminary soil geochemical sampling along 3 north-south lines across the property. Encouraging Gold values were recorded which became the target of follow-up exploration in 2001.
DESCRIPTION OF 2001 MMI SOIL GEOCHEMICAL SURVEY
GeneralSoil samples were collected and analyzed by the Mobile Metal ion (MMI) geochemical technique, as offered by XRAL Laboratories in Toronto, Ont. As in the 2000 survey, the MMI technique was selected, because of its claimed deep detection ability. Overburden over most of the Ansil property is extensive, and is typically moderate to deep.
ControlSamples were taken along chain and compass lines. Four, interior, east- west, claim lines were surveyed. Spacing between these lines varied from 800 metres, in the south to 1200 metres in the north. A north-south survey line was established across the two northern claims. An additional east-west line was established across the central section of claim 1184992, to check a gold-in-soil anomaly identified in the 2000 survey. Sample stations were routinely established at 25 metre intervals along all the survey lines.

MMI-D SOIL GEOCHEMICAL SAMPLING - LINE AR-01-B (B10 to B37)
SamplesThe MMI technique specifies that samples should ideally be taken at 15-20 cm depth from the base of the vegetation layer, and independent of soil horizon. A 6-inch diameter soil auger was used for the Ranger Township survey. Soil types recovered ranged from clay to sandy till. B & C soil horizons were most commonly sampled.
AnalysisSoil samples were shipped to XRAL Laboratories (XRAL) in Toronto for analysis by MMI technique, a proprietary technique developed in Australia, originally for use in arid soils. It has been tested and found effective in certain areas of North America. While the processes of ionic transportation that make the MMI method work are different in arid climates, from those encountered in the Canadian shield, the technique has been shown to work in both environments.
The method used to analyze the samples from Ranger is termed MMI-A. This is a partial digestion method that uses solvents producing analyses for five elements: gold (Au), silver (Ag), Cobalt (Co), Nickel (Ni), and palladium (Pd).
Data Treatment and Presentation
The "raw" geochemical data is collected, and for presentation purposes, for each sample, response Ratios (RR) are calculated for each element analyzed. The Response Ratio is a measure of how a particular assay relates to the background value for the sample population. The RR values can then be presented in a series of bar charts for the various elements.
The location of the sample lines at Ranger is presented on figure 2 of this report. The Ranger data is presented in Appendix A of this report, along with a series of stacked bar charts for individual sample lines.
RR values for the various elements are typically calculated as follow:1. Any assay below the detection limit (Au limit is l ppb) is assigned a value of i/2
the detection limit.2. The lower quartiles, of the population of geochemical analysis for individual
elements in the survey, are selected and sample values in these lower quartiles are averaged.
3. For each sample, the geochemical analysis for each element is divided by the appropriate lower quartile averages calculated above, to produce Response Ratios for each of the elements.
Response Ratios below 5 are normally considered of doubtful significance.
SURVEY RESULTS
Gold and SilverAs in 2000, gold was the target element in the current geochemical sampling program. Line F was positioned at right angles to line l of the 2000 survey and intended to check a broad area of geochemically anomalous gold and silver values identified in the previous years survey. The current survey confirmed the presence of the earlier anomaly. A second broad area of anomalous gold values was identified along the eastern 1/3 of line B. The anomalies on line B and F could relate to a common northeast - southwest trending structure extending southwards across the property from the granite intrusive in the north. Anomalous gold and silver values at the east end of line C, the west end of line A, and near the center of line 2, and the north end of line 3 of the 2000 survey all fall along this same general trend.
In the central and northern sector of the property, Nickel and Cobalt values are commonly elevated in the area of, or proximal to the broad sections of anomalous gold/silver values. Elevated palladium values were encountered at one locality within the broad multi-element anomalous section on line B.
The airborne magnetics indicate a magnetic high extending southwest into the core of the indicated anomalous geochemical zone, from the margin of the granitic body present to the north. The area magnetics are believed to indicate the local presence of a mafic intrusive. A ground magnetic survey completed by Beth Canada in 1980 indicated the presence of a circular magnetic high anomaly near a multiple element anomaly present on line B. Twenty-seven samples from the section of line B that crosses, or passes close to this magnetic anomaly, were submitted for analysis by the MMI-D suite of elements (i.e. Mg, Ti, Cr, Co, Ni, Rb, Sr, Y, Nb, and Pd).
The MMI-D suite returned elevated Ti, Cr, Y, and Nb from the approximate location of the magnetic anomaly.
CONCLUSIONS AND RECOMMENDATIONSMMI geochemical surveying has identified a multi-element geochemically anomalous structure extending in a northeast - southwest direction across the Ranger claim block. Within the target zone gold, silver, nickel, cobalt and locally palladium all display some measure of anomalous geochemical response. Coincident anomalous values in Ti, Cr, Y, and Nb, and the local presence of a magnetic high within the anomalous zone, may suggest an association with one or more intrusive bodies.
It is proposed that a control grid be established over the identified northeast - southwest trending target horizon to permit ground geophysics, and detail soil geochemical sampling. Grid lines should be oriented Northwest-southeast and spaced at 125 metre intervals. Initially it is proposed geophysical surveying be by Magnetometer and the V.L.F. method. It is suggested that follow-up geophysical surveying be initiated on select lines by horizontal loop-EM or preferably by Induced Polarization technique.
