The Voice-System by proLogistik is a speaker-indepen-dent speech-supported dialogue system that optimises work processes in different areas of use; pro-Voice can be used, for example, in logistics in the area of picking (Pick-by-Voice), in inbound or outbound goods, in inven-tory or in quality inspection. Use of a speech-controlled dialogue system is sensible outside of logistics as well, e.g. in industrial applications such as machine control or control of driverless transport vehicles.

Dual picking – seeing and hearing work processes

To reduce the error rate in picking, a module has been developed that supports visually by product and storage bin display in addition to speech-con-trolled picking.

The pL-Pick & Guide software module imple-ments dual processes in processing of complex processes; deviations can be recognised more quickly in the fi gures.

The error rate in picking is clearly reduced with this support by speech-controlled processes (Pick-by-Voice) in combination with visual infor-mation. On the other hand, the picking process is rendered more effi cient, since the employee will have both hands free and is able to focus entirely on the Pick-by-Voice statements by headset.
