Workday Integration Cloud ConnectWith Workday as the core system-of-record, companies are faced with the

need to connect to multiple third-party systems and applications to satisfy

key business functions and processes. Workday provides a variety of

infrastructure and tools designed to address these integration challenges,

including a robust web services-based API and the Integration Cloud Platform.

Integration Cloud Connect rounds out Workday’s integration solutions.

Integration Cloud Connect represents a portfolio of integration products designed to complement Workday core business

applications by providing pre-built connections to third-party applications and services. Each integration is deployed in

the Workday Cloud, which in turn gives you all the benefits of a fully hosted and managed application. Customers can

enjoy integration solutions that are versioned and stable, as well as kept up to date with the latest infrastructure, tooling,

application changes, and vendor changes (where applicable).

Integration Cloud Connect solutions fall under two main categories: Packaged Integration and Connectors.

Packaged Integrations: A packaged integration is a fully designed end-to-end integration to a specific named third-

party application or service. When a packaged integration is deployed, the specific business functions between the

two systems are configured with no additional coding required. The packaged integrations are managed just like any

other Workday application, and are kept up to date with the same overall Workday update schedule. Updates include

reacting to Workday core applications—for compliance as well as additional application features—as well as updates

to the latest tooling and infrastructure. In addition, Workday works with the third-party partner to manage a joint

roadmap to ensure the integration is kept up to date as the third-party application evolves.

Workday Integration Cloud Connect consists of a growing number of pre-built, packaged integrations and connectors to complementary solutions that are 100% built, maintained, and supported by Workday.

• Select from a growing ecosystem of packaged integrations and connectors

• Rely on Workday to support, maintain, and evolve these integrations over time

•Monitor and manage these integrations in the Workday UI

• Eliminate the need to own or manage any on-premise integration middleware or servers

• Redeploy IT to focus on more strategic activities

Connectors: A packaged connector is a pre-built

integration template. While not always end-to-end

like packaged integrations, connectors address

the majority of the integration effort required to

connect to third-party end points. Connectors can

often be leveraged as delivered, or they can also

provide the foundation for further configuration

leveraging Workday’s Integration Cloud Platform.

The following list details the current Cloud Connect

portfolio as of Workday 13. Please check with your sales

representative for more details.

Cloud Connect for HCM

• Worker Sync Connector – This connector is focused

on identifying Worker demographic changes and

producing output for a third-party system. The

connector allows you to configure the specific data

in which you’re interested, and can produce the

data in either CSV or XML formats.

• Directory Service Connector – This connector is

similar to the Worker Sync Connector, but it’s

designed to connect to a third-party directory

server. This connector includes XML, CSV, and LDIF

formats, and contains specific features to connect

to both LDAP and Active Directory servers.

• MrTed TalentLink Packaged Integration – This

integration complements Workday HCM with

recruiting functionality provided by MrTed

TalentLink. From Workday, information about

workers, job positions, and job requisitions are

sent to MrTed Talentlink to initiate the recruiting

process. This information is kept up to date as

changes are made in Workday. Once an applicant

accepts a position, the information is then updated

in Workday, where the applicant and employee are

created, the employee’s talent profile is updated,

and the HIRE business process is initiated.

• Plateau Packaged Integration – This integration

complements Workday HCM with learning

management functionality provided by Plateau.

From Workday, information about workers, job

profiles, and organization structures are sent to

Plateau and used to target learning assignments.

Once a worker completes training or certifications

in Plateau, the Workday talent profile is updated to

reflect this information where it is then available

within Workday HCM.

Cloud Connect for Benefits

Cloud Connect for Benefits includes a catalog of benefit

provider integrations that extends and complements

the Workday Benefits application. With more than 160

providers in the catalog, Cloud Connect for Benefits

covers a wide variety of benefits providers and formats

(including HIPAA-834), including:

• Medical, Dental and Vision

• Flexible Spending Accounts

• Retirement Savings Plans

• Life Insurance and AD&D

• Health Savings Accounts

• COBRA Administrators

With all the advantages of a packaged integration, Cloud

Connect for Benefits enables customers to make the

best benefits choices by minimizing the integration costs

associated with switching vendors during open enrollments.

Cloud Connect for Workday Payroll

Cloud Connect for Workday Payroll includes a catalog

of integrations that extends and complements

Workday Payroll.

• Electronic Payments Connector – The Electronic

Payments Connector supports a variety of payment

protocols that allow you to make payments to

any bank. While you won’t see a list of named

supported banks, the connector is designed so it

can be configured (with no additional coding) to

connect with any bank and includes cross-border

support as well as international payments.

• Ceridian Tax Filing Packaged Integration – This

packaged integration complements Workday

Payroll with tax filing and W2 support provided

by Ceridian Tax Filing Services. The integration

supports periodic, quarterly, and annual tax filing.

• ADP Tax Filing Packaged Integration – This

packaged integration complements Workday

Payroll with tax filing and W2 support provided by

ADP Standalone Tax Filing Services. The integration

supports periodic, quarterly, and annual tax filing.

• Ceridian Check Print Packaged Integration – This

packaged integration complements Workday

Payroll with check printing and outsourced banking

services provided by Ceridian.

• Kronos Packaged Integration – This packaged

integration allows time captured in the Kronos

TimeKeeper application to be imported into

Workday Payroll. Also included is an outbound

integration that forwards worker information from

Workday to Kronos.

Cloud Connect for Third-Party Payroll

• Payroll Interface Connector – The Payroll Interface

Connector is a comprehensive connector focused

on minimizing the effort required to connect to

any third-party payroll provider. Workday Payroll

Interface includes configuration that allows you to

set up external earnings, deductions, pay calendars,

and payroll companies directly in the Workday

application. Payroll Interface includes the logic to

identify specific data and staffing changes required

by your payroll system and includes both master

data as well as one-time payments such as bonuses

or adjustments. Further, Payroll Interface can be

configured to include only the specific data elements

you choose, and includes a configurable output

format expressed as either a multi-record CSV file

or in XML. Detailed audit reports identify detailed

information per worker, and can be used by an

administrator for reconciliation as well as a means

for manual entry for small global populations.

• Safeguard Multi-National Packaged Integration –

Using Payroll Interface as the foundation, the

Safeguard Packaged Integration supports a growing

list of countries around the world. Customers

who choose Safeguard can take advantage of this

packaged integration.

Cloud Connect for Spend Management

• PunchOut Connector – The PunchOut Connector

extends Workday Procurement by providing the

ability to connect to any PunchOut-enabled supplier.

• Credit Card Transaction Packaged Integrations –

Workday Expenses can import corporate credit

card transactions for their employees which then

can then be linked to expense items.

Cloud Connect for Financials

• Salesforce.com Packaged Integration – This

packaged integration links Workday Financial

applications with Saleforce.com (SFDC). When an

opportunity is created in SFDC, that opportunity

is also created in Workday and tagged to a

prospective customer. When an opportunity is

closed in SFDC, a new customer is created in

Workday if required and an invoice is created.

This invoice is automatically sent back to SFDC for

visibility. Customers can track expenses against

open opportunities in SFDC. Additionally, payments

received and tracked in Workday are forwarded to

SFDC where they can be used to track and evaluate

the customer.

• Electronic Payments Connector – The Electronic

Payments Connector supports a variety of payment

protocols that allow you to make payments to

any bank. While you won’t see a list of named

supported banks, the connector is designed so it

can be configured (with no additional coding) to

connect with any bank and includes cross-border

support as well as international payments.

• Cybersource Packaged Integration– Workday

customers can accept payments from their

customers via credit card by taking advantage of

the Cybersource Packaged Integration. Cybersource

is a PCI compliant third-party solution that manages

credit card authorization and payments.
