Hybrid Safety forFirst Responders
This 8 hour training session will inform and prepare First Response personnel of the dangers
associated with Hybrid vehicles. You will learn to quickly identify a Hybrid vehicle
and the safety techniques you need to know before you respond to a Hybrid motor vehicle
accident scene. This training is critical to anyone in this field.

Hybrid Safety for First RespondersThe Workshop will include: - Locating shut-downs for Hybrid Electric Vehicles - Shutting down a Hybrid - De-powering a Hybrid system - Disconnecting the high voltage battery source - Locating high voltage parts and the main HV shut-off switch - Understanding and handling high voltage - Hazard recognition for First Responders and victims - On-site safety - Care and use of safety apparel and equipment - Minimizing dangers and risks to victims during extrication - Understanding dash indicators, cable colours, and uses - "Smart Key" operation and hazards - A hands-on approach to training with a hybrid vehicle on-site.
