Living and learning abroad: A cross cultural survey of effects of inter-cultural interaction importance and time engagement, personal feelings, individualism-collectivism, organizational climate on satisfaction and intent among visiting international exchange students and Indian B-Schools students visitng abroad. This is a major study involving collaboration among three IIMs and would lead to a series of papers in 2 years. Data collected, analyzed and initial results to be presented at an International Conference in July 2018.

Administrative Contribution to IIMC:

As the first Dean (Programme Initiatives, 2001-2003) at IIM Calcutta, I established student and faculty exchange programmed with large number of B-Schools abroad as well as to explore contributions from IIMC alumni abroad to support IIMC as visiting international faculty as well as to sponsor Indian Ph.D holding IIMC faculty. As the first occupant of the position of Dean in IIMC, I established the role acceptance among faculty and its integration in the decision making structure.

As Chairman Placement and Alumni, I established strategies and processes to place the largest batch size then equalling the size of PGP students from IIMA and IIML with top firms and maximum foreign offers and many students getting more than one offer in hand

As Chairman Fellow Programme, I analyzed the data and made a report on the comparative contibution of IIMC FP output vis a vis IIMA and IIMB in 1987 and initiated steps to increase the intake.

As Faculty Convener for four long years, I conducted the hitherto disturbance based meetings of Faculty Council to orderly proceedings with full participation of all without political wranglings..
