Krungthai card Public co ltd (Ktc) is a credit card company which was initially a subsidiary of Krungthai Bank - thailand’s largest government bank. after privatisation, Ktc’s direction is to provide “friendly and dynamic service” to customers and establish a brand new corporate image completely different to its former conservative approach under public perception.KTC occupies five floors at UBC II Tower. It includes ground floor, 11th, 14th, 15th, and 23rd floor. The ground floor is a boutique shop/customer service centre, the 23/F is the executive floor, while the rest are office floors with workstations and meeting rooms accommodating approximately 150 staff on each floor.the corporation has targeted its customers at the young generation between the ages of 20 and 35. therefore, the total concept - from the interior design to working attire - has been transformed to reflect this hip and trendy image.

Krungthai Card Public Co Ltd (KTC)是一家信用卡公司,以前是隶属于泰国最大的国家银行──泰京银行。实行私有化后,KTC采取了新的品牌策略,把提供「充满活力而亲切」的服务作为发展的方向,并力图扭转公众心目中国有产业作风守旧的既有印象。
KTC占用了UBC II Tower五层的面积,包括地面层、11层、14层、15层及23层。地面层有一家时尚店和客户服务中心;23楼是行政层;而其余楼层则是备有工作站与会议室的办公空间,每层可容纳约150名员工。
公司把市场目标及重点服务对象锁定在20到35岁的年轻客户群,因此公司的室内设计以至员工制服的总体概念也转换成一个更为新潮吸引的形像。
开放的布局、动感的曲线、鲜艳的色彩、光亮透明的环境、灵活的空间规划和照明都是本专案的主要设计元素,并且一一呈现在最早接触顾客的地面层中:于「魔术照明」的辉映下,入口发光门廊与客户服务中心内圆形天花的颜色在绿、蓝、粉红等色彩中不停变换。圆的主题象征著统一、团结,同时也意味著这里是举行一系列商业活动的场所。DJ站、小食店、活动区及时尚店内穿上休闲牛仔裤和T恤、精神抖擞的年轻员工,更加强了「活力而亲切」的氛围。

Open interior with dynamic curves, bright colour accents, well-lit and translucent environment, flexibility in space planning and illumination are the major design vocabularies. This is revealed at the very front of the ground floor. With “magic lighting”, the colour of the tunnel at the entrance and the circular ceiling in the customer service centre changes from blue to green to pink, etc. The circular motif represents uniformity and togetherness and it reminds customers that a wide range of business function takes place here. The DJ booth, refreshment corner, and event area staffed with young and pleasant employees in casual attire like jeans and T-shirts at the boutique shop further enhance the “friendly and dynamic” ambience.

Every design conveys a message. For the interior design of an office, what the designers should do is to bring out the character or the image of the company. When we talk about the design concept of Grip’s new office, it would be to create a space that inspires and fosters creativity for those working within the space. how can creativity be expressed within the lexicon of architecture? The designer’s solution was threefold and it began with the interpretation of creativity, and that creativity is activated by the exchange of ideas. Architecturally, they are the creation of a collection of formal and informal meeting spaces throughout the agency offering variegated spatial experiences; that the path towards these spaces is an enjoyable

建筑上,这些设计是集合了正式与非正式会面空间的突破;通往办公室的小路便是耐人寻味的一个空间,戏剧性的设计理念使室内和室外的装饰材料、元素之间模糊不清的界线变得一目了然。
平台从外表上,功用上都将两层主要的楼层连接起来,也就是第五、六两层。一个双层高度的空间形成了一个主要的聚集区或休息区,并且可以让人流垂直上下移动。除了楼梯连接著露天看台,还有连接位于北墙两个层数的创作室的滑梯和消防竿,也有促进人流垂直移动的功能。
滑梯成为了Grip公司的一大标志。令人更喜出望外的是,滑梯通过办公室提供了一个带动物体的宝贵经验。这就有如比喻Grip的信念,非常著重创作的过程。创作过程好比航行一样,整个过程的重要性不少于发现目的地。创作的成果重要,过程也必须要让人享受。
露天看台上的座位用热卷钢以及染色胡桃木镶板造成,为大型的会议、电影的播放提供了聚集的场所,也成为携带型电脑族工作的好去处。
会面或休息地方设计得像一热水浴池,可容下10人。人们会面时可以进入池中围成一圈交谈,这种开放的坐位编排有助纾缓客户心中的顾虑,对付难缠的客户最适用。
一个源自啤酒客户的灵感,电冰箱是正式的董事会议室。不锈钢的外表,内部则由白色的人造磨砂玻璃装饰,用以隔音。

The hot tub can accommodate up to 10 persons and the circular form of seating brings out a casual atmosphere. It becomes a great place to disarm difficult clients.
The atrium is intended to visually and functionally link the two principal floor areas, the fifth and sixth, with a double-height space within which the major gathering/lounging and vertical movement would occur. With a staircase associated with the bleacher seating, vertical movement is also provided by a slide and fire-pole connecting the creative offices located on two levels at the north wall. The slide has become the adopted symbol of Grip. Surprisingly exhilarating, the slide provides one of many unique experiences of movement through the office and is a metaphor for the agency’s belief in the importance of the creative process, a methodology centred on the notion that the voyage is as vital as the destination - and that it should be an enjoyable one.Constructed by folded hot-rolled steel and stained walnut veneer, the bleachers provide a gathering space for full office meetings, film presentations and an alternative workplace with a laptop.This meeting/lounge area was designed to resemble a hot tub for 10 persons. Detailed to provide the experience of entering into a small pool combined with the circular (democratic) format of the seating, this area has often been utilized to disarm the most difficult clients.A reference to their beer clientele, the “fridge” is the formal boardroom. Clad in stainless steel, the interior is finished with white synthetic glass in resemblance of frosting for sound absorption.

the design concept for Westpac’s new workplace was formulated around the metaphor of the Vertical City: an urban paradigm. successful cities are stimulating and exciting places of interchange. they have a strong identity, yet a diversity of parts and are characterized by a strong public domain that provides accessibility and legibility. these are great settings for interaction, communication and production. the design approach was to apply these characteristics to the workplace - for the 5,000-strong population constitutes a community greater than most country towns. Furthermore, the concept of the public domain has been extended to provide a network through the building - forming a system of legible access binding the community together. The main entrance, lift lobbies, transfer floors and connecting common places form the beginnings of this “public” component of the building.

Westpac Place新办公室的设计理念围绕垂直城市这一比喻而展开:可形容为城市典范。成功的城市能激发及促进交流,它们特征显著,具有多样性。其公共区域交通发达又先进,这些条件都有利于互动、交流和生产。设计的方式就是要将这些特点融入工作环境中,因为5,000人的强大人口所形成的社区远远大于多数村镇。

a new key element to enhance this armature is a dramatic proposal to provide an open and continuous stair effectively linking 27 building floors from top to bottom. this stair is the “street” system of this vertical city, connecting the major and minor circulation networks as occurs in the real city. the stair provides both physical and visual links throughout the building, encouraging movement between floors without recourse to the lifts and gives a sense of connection and community through increased accessibility. The stair is located in the Kent Street Tower, adding visual interest to the side of the site with more enclosure and less outlook through the established city skyline and provides the “backbone” to the application of the urban paradigm. The work floors are grouped into “quarters” as occur in a city and a series of key destinations are threaded throughout the building to act as attractors and events bringing a richness to the experience of the workplace.

a multitude of steel and glass are commonly used for high-tech corporations to create a sense of futuristic modernity and efficiency. most of them would adopt “science fiction” or “powerful visual impact” as core concepts for their designs. Provision inc, however, prefers something different. the client intends to create an office that resembles a high-class clubhouse which is not only functional in accommodating its clientele, but also imparts an artistic ambience. this is not a common concept adopted by companies in the internet or satellite business. thus the designer has broken away from the conventional design attributes such as corporate history; present, and future directions; corporate culture, and image. instead, the design is geared for a “gallery-like clubhouse”. the focus is not on layout nor special effects, but on functionality, spatial layering, and decor.
moHen design international The entrance has combined the corporate signage with the reception counter to create a 3D effect composed of round patterns and corporate logo. With contrasting lighting, a stunning effect is created. In addition, circles and Chinese elements such as calligraphy, figures of Buddha, and red and gold paint finishing are utilized to symbolize the regional distinction of this China branch. A slight touch of post-modernism is employed to balance off tradition and modernity. After all, an excessively traditional atmosphere does not fit the business nature of a high-tech company.
the conference room is not only a place for business meetings, but also a venue for wine tasting, coffee and chitchat. a raised floor fixed with up-lit lighting makes the room prominent. in collaboration with simple and elegant furnishings, and comfortable sofas and cushions, the conference room is infused with a pleasant mood.

高科技企业的办事处,一般都会运用大量的钢材、玻璃等去表现超时代的质感和速度感,又或以「科幻」、「视觉效果」作为设计的核心概念;Provision Inc却相反,客户希望其办公室如同高级的会所,不单能用来招待客人,甚至要富有艺廊的氛围。这要求跟一间从事网络科技及卫星相关产业的公司似乎并不吻合,故设计师也一改以往的设计逻辑常规,不考虑客户的过去、现在和未来、企业文化与形像,而单纯的从「艺廊会所」出发。在平面规划上,没有太多的巧思和创意,注意力集中在功能上的合理化、空间的使用排序及装饰上。
入口的构图把公司的招牌和接待柜台结合,造成了圆形图案和企业商标合并的立体画面,加上灯光反差,产生了一定的震撼力。此外,设计师利用圆圈及富中国特色的元素,诸如中国书法、佛像、红底金漆的粉饰等,展现了作为企业的中国分行所应有的区域性差异。设计略带后现代风格,务求在传统与现代中取得平衡,毕竟,过于传统难以让人联想到公司高科技的业务性质。
会客室也不再是单纯洽谈商务的地方,而是品酒、喝咖啡和闲聊的场所。架高的地台内安装了上射灯,形如一个灯箱,以突显空间的重要性,加上清雅的布置、舒适的沙发和软垫,营造出惬意的会议空间。为了确保接待处的整体性,毗邻的主管办公室的门口特意造成暗门。私密的办工区围著绕开放的公共空间,并清晰地划分流动线的界限。
灯光安排亦有别于开敞、明亮的常用方式,设计师将整体亮度调低,只把重点照明投射到墙上的装饰和艺术品之上。就一个「艺廊办公室」或「办公室会所」而言,如此的方案与别不同,设计师更从而对办公室设计及规划有了新的认知和思维。

the conference room is not only a place for business meetings, but also a venue for wine tasting, coffee, and chitchat. a raised floor fixed with up-lit lighting makes the room prominent. in collaboration with simple and elegant furnishings, and comfortable sofas and cushions, the conference room is infused with a pleasant mood. to maintain integrity at the reception area, a concealed door is specially designed for the adjacent supervisor’s office. Private office area surrounds open public space to clearly delineate the boundary of circulation.Lighting is arranged in a different way from the regular open and bright settings. The designer has reduced the holistic brightness except at the projected spotlights on decorations and artworks on the wall. In terms of a “gallery office” or “office clubhouse”, this project is surely unique, through which new perceptions and ideas of office design and planning is attained.
Circles and Chinese elements such as calligraphy, figures of Buddha, red and gold paint finishing are utilized to symbolize the regional distinction of this China branch.

如何充分利用景观和自然光是规划时的最大考量。大部分的建设要不远离建筑核心而置,就是朝向中央中庭,以方便员工在开放的布局中使用各种设施。根据客户要求,四种形式的工作区得以确立:密封式、开放管理式、开放行政式和开放标准式。设计师采用了标准型120度的工作站,只要加入单元组件便可扩大工作站的面积。除此,灵活的办公桌方便了跨州到访的团队和来宾在主办公区里工作。非开放式工作区和安静的房间采用闲据特定空间的模件系统。所有这些元素带出灵活多变的活动布置、设施的面积和组合构成,能满足业务扩展、结构改变、坚固稳定和持久耐用的需求。

Access to views and natural light are the primary drivers in planning the facility. The majority of the built environment is placed off the core or towards the central atrium allowing most employees full access to the amenity in the open plan layout. Four kinds of workstations are identified within the strategic brief: fully enclosed, open management, open administration, and open standard. Using the standard 120-degree footprint, component parts could be added to create the evolved footprints, i.e. a standard work point could be enlarged by simply adding modules to it. Flexi-desks are introduced so that interstate teams and visitors can be housed within the main office area. A modular system occupying a consistent space is applied to fully enclosed workstations and quiet rooms. All these suggest a versatile blend of activity settings as well as size and configurations of infrastructure space to support growth, structural changes, low impact churn and optimum durability.In addition to the dedicated work zone, spaces with individual identities/personalities are distributed throughout the facility to provide alternative settings for collaboration and casual interaction.The Hub is a multipurpose space including meeting area, main conference room, central atrium, communal cafe seating, and outdoor terrace that provides an agreeable view of the surrounding Adelaide Hills. It replaces the traditional front of house/reception area and becomes the social and collaborative working heart of the office. The space is framed by an illuminated multi-functional wall that can “click in” amenities such as white and media boards, flat digital screens, set down shelves, and drop in desks. The partitions of the three meeting rooms are completely operable allowing the entire space to connect as one with the atrium, accommodating functions for up to 300 people. J Walter thompson Manila headquarters is located on the 29th and 30th floors of the Enterprise Centre in the heart of the Makati district. the 18,000 sq ft office is designed to promote creative thinking, productivity, and an inspirational workplace; one which gets the thumbs up from management and staff alike. Despite taking considerably less space in the new building, the designers produced a spacious, bright, and impressive environment working with largely local materials for maximum image at minimum costs.First impressions are paramount in the advertising industry and therefore a uniquely exciting and modern reception area is created. J Walter Thompson 马尼拉总部位于马加提街中心的企业大楼29和30楼。设计的要求是要将占地18,000平方尺的办公楼建构成一个能激发灵感、让员工发挥创意、提高效率、使管理层和员工都满意的一个工作场所。新址虽然较原来的办公室小,但是设计师大量使用当地材料,用最少的成本获得最佳效果,营造出宽敞,明亮的环境。
广告公司给予人的第一印象最为关键,因此一个风格独特、时尚现代的接待区是必要的。设计师打通了两层楼板且设置了一道螺旋形楼梯,楼梯沿著接待区的墙向上盘旋,并由墙面上放大了的公司名字烘托著。不规则型的接待椅配合了高科技现代感,同时与室内清爽的白石装潢互相映衬。
办公环境著重功能与美感的结合,精选的家具体现了此大型国际广告公司的风范。Philippe Starck设计的饰面与黑白条纹Vitra椅为会议室增添了整齐的线条美。位于楼上中央,员工们称做「肺中心」的创作区具有容纳30人的会议设施,既是非正式会议间,又是吸烟区和休息娱乐区:。Tom Arad设计的白色椅子舒适宜人,能激发创作灵感,鼓励自由交谈。从这里可以俯视螺旋楼梯、接待区和入口处全景。
新颖的绿色玻璃墙取代了普通的白板。开放式布局鼓励员工交流。低矮的隔墙扩大了员工个人的工作空间,而部门之间则由一些自然的「思考中心区」分隔。「思考中心区」内色彩明亮,加上超大的椅子和玩具能启发创意、增加团队凝聚力。绿色玻璃板除了用来把灵感纪录下来之外,还有效地遮挡了大量的储存物。

the reception wall in the double volume space. Juxtaposed with the high-tech modernity is seemingly organic reception seating contrasting sharply with the clean white stone interior. Functionality alongside aesthetics created an environment where exquisitely selected furniture pieces served as a reflection to the philosophy of this, one of the largest advertising agencies worldwide. Philippe Starck designed finishes and black and white striped vitra chairs give clean lines to the conference rooms. a central ‘brainstorming’ area on the upper floor, known to the employees as the ‘lung centre’ combines conference facilities for 30 people, an informal meeting area, a smoking room, and a café/entertainment area all in one. Comfortable white chairs by tom arad provide the ultimate in relaxation to promote creativity and freedom of speech. this space has full view over the spiral staircase down to the lower floor reception and entrance lobby.Green tempered glass walls are applied as a cutting edge alternative to the common white board. Staff is encouraged to doodle and interact within the open plan area. Low partitioning enlarges the personnel area where departments are informally split by natural ‘breakout think centres’. Here comfortable brightly coloured, oversized seating and corporate toys foster inspirational ideas and team bonding. Again, green glass boards are used to capture ideas and spontaneous creativity. With its production plants based in shenzhen and Qingdao, a&H is a multi-national printing and packaging manufacturer with its asian Regional Headquarters in dongguan.The exterior of the Dongguan Headquarters was designed by an American architecture firm in line with its other branches. The corporate advocates high efficiency, low maintenance, and cost effectiveness. The interior designer for this project, Vincent, therefore attempts to create a pure interior space without decoration. The wall, ceiling, floor, and even columns are all what they are. The ceiling is only equipped with air vents and lamps, the walls are covered by varied materials, and the columns differ only in their forms.architecture can be perceived as a box, or a container accommodating a wide variety of events, activities and even

东莞总部的建筑外观是由美国一家建筑事务所设计,风格雷同于其他分行。企业倡导高效的、易维护的、低能源的运作模式。在室内,设计师张星(Vincent)尝试演绎一个没有装饰的纯粹空间,即墙是墙,顶是顶,地是地,柱是柱⋯⋯于是,天花就只有风口和灯具点缀,墙面只有材质的变化,柱子只有形态的改变。
建筑可视为一种盒子,一种收纳形形色色的事物、活动,甚至情感的容器。「给生产盒子的人一些盒子,似乎是一种幽默,但还有什么比这更合适的呢?」Vincent说。盒子以不同的形态呈现在建筑容器中,它们被拉展、挤压、交错、堆砌,或成线,或成面,井然有序,予人层次丰富的美感。
平面上的四个盒子把空间划分为入口、接待、企业标志及会议。在建筑容器中,设计师透过一个有形的盒子(即用玻璃墙间隔出的会议室),用最简单的方法勾勒出另外三个无形的盒子(其余三个空间),然后再赋予它们色彩与光影,促其绽放。
Vincent认为黑白等同无色彩,广泛地运用黑与白,正好烘托出蓝色的冷静与红色的热闹。光影在空间中穿梭,在黑与白的背幕上,涂上无尽色彩,更凸现了空间的轮廓。

a new 500 sq. m. headquarters for a garment distribution company, this project adopts the idea of constructing a “building within a building” and thus rethinking the norms of conventional offices and structures. Public spaces are being conceived as exterior volumes within the overall shell. the various spaces are created through the bending and folding of a continuous ribbon that unites the diversified stages of the distribution chain where a raw resource is converted to a finished product.Storage, fabrication, administration, and sales are converged to blur the lines between programmes and spaces. Thus the resulting spaces conform to a more unified and cohesive whole provoking a more productive work atmosphere. the 500 sq. m. distribution and showroom centre for the fashion fabric and garment company include a loading dock, executive offices, changing rooms, conference rooms, and showrooms.

仓库、生产、管理、销售都集中在运作与空间之间那条模糊不清的界线上。这个情况让空间更集中、更有凝聚力,也营造出一种积极的工作气氛。
这个500平方米的空间是时装分销及展览厅。其他设备还包括装卸码头、行政办公室、更衣室、会议室以及展览厅。

a designer’s office always seems special in other people’s eyes, because it is not the usual kind of office. a good example is the office of our famous local designer alan chan.At the entrance, you might doubt whether you have entered into the right place, a gallery probably, because sculptures such as Buddhist figures are placed at the entrance and on the cemented reception desk. The reception area is connected to a small-size display corridor specially developed by Alan to showcase the works of new artists. It
is not a public place, because appointments have to be made prior to entering the premises. Nevertheless, it is undoubtedly a new exhibition space for aspiring artists. In usual times, some of Alan’s graphic designs and installations are also exhibited here.Two meeting rooms, one big and one small, are adjacent to the reception area. 设计师的办事处总是让人觉得与别不同,不同在于它并不像人们所认为的、常见的那种办公室,而本地著名设计师陈幼坚(Alan Chan)的办公室就是一个好例子。
甫进入口处,你会不期然地怀疑自己有没有走错地方,去了一间画廊,因为就在门口及水泥饰面的接待台上便摆放了好几件雕塑。接待处连接著一个小型展廊,是Alan特意开发的一个展览空间,让新晋艺术家展示他们的作品。这并不是一个公共场所,因为在去参观之前,你必须要先行预约,虽然如此,这无疑是艺术家们展示作品的一个新展台。平时这里会陈列Alan的一些平面设计及装置艺术作品。
毗连接待区有两间会议室,一大一小,由两扇厚厚的木趟门及一米宽的玻璃墙分隔,既可以拉趟木门把空间完完全全隔开,又或留下玻璃墙让两边的用者可以相视。会议室里的木几上陈设了好几件艺术品,加上古朴的木椅,散发出一点点尔雅的东方韵味。
这所六千尺的办公室可容纳二十多人。董事的办公室和会计及客户推广部沿一列玻璃窗布置,尽享无敌的维港景色。开放式的创作间只用几块低矮而古典的屏风分出区域,空间开扬。董事办公室和创作间相对,并由一条长走廊分界,走廊两端分别陈设了一个红色的古董柜和一尊佛像。
Alan相信人与人的交往是会产生声音、触觉等一些感受,故他在房间与走廊之间的墙脚上采用了玻璃,让房内外的人都可以看到在另一个空间里活动的人们,感受到彼此的存在。
因为创作人的工作时间长,而且他们需要一个富启发性的空间,所以相对于一般办公室的氛围这里更见轻松、惬意,像家一样。Alan收集自各国的收藏品,有木造的、有青铜的、有宗教味浓的雕像,还有其他一些艺术品随意摆放在书柜上、矮几上,到处可见,就像一个富有品味的人家的居室;白色的墙和水泥地面,再配合柔和的灯光,一方面溢发出家的温馨写意感觉,冲淡了工作间那种繁忙的气息,另一方面这些具不同特质的摆设成为设计师灵感之源,随时诱发出设计师们的创意。

The wooden panels can be used to separate the space completely, and when the doors are steered sideways, people on either side can see each other through the glass wall. several artworks are put on the wooden table in the meeting room, with the complement of simple and classical wooden chairs, making the room elegant and oriental-looking.The 6000-sq-ft office can hold 20-odd people. The directors’ offices and the accounting and customer services departments are set alongside a glass window, enjoying the agreeable harbour view. The open studio is divided by several low but classic folding screens, which make the space more open. The directors’ offices sit opposite to the studio, separated by a long corridor. A red antique cupboard and a Buddhist bust are put at each end of the corridor.alan believes that communication among people generate sound and feeling, so he used glass as the wall skirt between the room and the corridor, making it easier for people both inside and outside the room to see each other, feeling the existence of each other.As the working hours are relatively long for designers, they need an inspiring space. So compared to the common office, the atmosphere here is freer and more comfortable, just like home. Alan collects things from all over the world, some wood, some bronze, some religious sculptures, and some artworks. They are put freely on the bookshelf, or the low table, or anywhere, just like in a tasteful person’s own house. On one hand, the white wall and cement floor, plus the soft light, create a comfortable and enjoyable “homey” feeling, which softens the busy atmosphere of the studio. On the other hand, the special ornaments become the source of inspiration for designers, helping to generate new ideas.

The planning of the new headquarters for the fashion company - CLOSED implied a complete reorganisation of employees habitual working environment. The office-structure was subdivided into many small rooms in a maze-like Hamburg-Eppendorf backyard type ambience.The new 1,400 sq m headquarters was realised in a part of the old streetcar depot (built around 1900) in the recently revitalised area of Hamburg-Falkenried. It contains an open-plan office space for the .
Carsten Roth Architekt design and production department, two new showrooms, offices for the company management, marketing and bookkeeping as well as a new conference area, communal space, and a two-storey reception hall.

时装公司CLOSED新总部的规划蕴含著对员工惯常工作环境完全重组的意义。办公结构分隔为很多迷宫般、且富有Hamburg-Eppendorf后院氛围的小房间。
占地面积达1,400平方米的新总部位于近期复兴的Hamburg-Falkenried,由一个旧街车仓库(建于1900年左右)改建而成。它包括设计部门、生产部门的开放式办公空间、两个新展览房、公司管理层办公室、行销区、薄记区和一个新的会议区、公共区和一个两层的接待厅。
由于原有建筑的主要光线来自中心的采光井而不是建筑正面,所以设计师把空间设计成开放的办公室(德国建筑办公空间的理念是尽可能为每个员工提供最多的自然光线和通风效果)。
客户希望开放的空间能将设计和生产部门、展示厅以及拥有28名管理、行销和薄记工作人员的独立办公空间融合起来。这个要求成为空间设计上的一个主要的挑战。设计师决定这样解决难题:在大厅中安放两个长“盒子”来增加私人办公空间。一楼用作簿记和行销区,夹楼层的一侧安置了展览室和管理人员办公室,而设计部门正好在另一侧。
另一个问题在于夹楼层上旧钢梁以下的2.4米高度。设计师将地面上的盒子间隔再次划分为三份,使之脱离了自由移动于间隔各部位间的横梁。所以,办公室间隔是真正独立的,为这座旧结构的建筑赋予学术的气氛。
除了大厅间隔的放置,内部的房间与开阔的设计师空间都进行了隔音处理。在夹楼层办公室的对面,设计师创造了一面储藏墙,与办公室的设计原理相同。墙壁上有下垂的扶手和放置两个完整的时装设计收藏搁板。储藏墙可以向后打开,使得以往拥挤的生产部门呈现出宁静之感。一楼的功能区(包括厨房、浴室和打印室)也都设计成盒子间隔,全部都镶有橡木贴边的白色光滑面板。
原有空间的厚重感被明快的色彩理念所取代。旧街车仓库的工业特性得以保留,同时开放式空间随处可见的凹凸地面装饰也突出了该特点(发光的酸酐灰浆)。所有家俱元素都精致细巧,与街车仓库的粗糙特质交相辉映。时而哑光、时而亮泽的白色阴影,浅灰和自然上油的橡木是这个空间的主色调。
整个设计中,室内设计与家私设计的界限很模糊。

As the old listed building gets the main daylight from an areaway in the centre and not from the façades, the space is obviously laid out for open-plan offices (the German building codes for office space arrogate natural daylight and ventilation for each single employee). So, one of the main challenges in designing the space was the client’s wish for a mixture of an open floor plan area for the design, production department, and the showrooms, plus single office spaces for about 28 people in management, marketing, and bookkeeping. The designers decided to solve the problem by adding the private office spaces in two furniture-like long “boxes” located at the hall; the ground floor is reserved for bookkeeping and marketing, and the mezzanine level houses the showrooms and management personnel where the designers’ space is right across the other wing.Another problem that has to be resolved is the height of 2.4 m underneath the old steel-beams on the mezzanine level. The designers have created the shelved “box” on the floor in three subdivisions, detached from the beams that are now running freely in between the box-parts. So the “office-boxes” are really free standing, giving the image of dissertation to the old structure of the building. Despite the object-like placement of boxes in the hall, the rooms inside are acoustically separated from the large designers space. On the mezzanine floor opposite to the office boxes, the designers invented a storage wall with hanging rails and shelves for two whole fashion design collections using the same design principles like the office box. The storage wall can be opened to the back; and that gives a calm appearance towards the usually busy design at the production area. Functional space on the ground floor (including the kitchen, bathroom, and copy room) is again added to the hall in a furniture-
like box; they are all cladded in glossy white panels with oak wood seams.The industrial character of the old streetcar depot is maintained and underlined by a rough floor finish all over the open spaces (glazed anhydride mortar). All furniture elements are fine detailed and in contrast to the rough character of the streetcar depot hall. The heaviness of the old space was taken away by a bright colour concept. Different shades of white (sometimes matte and sometimes glossy), light grey, and naturally oiled oak wood dominate the space.The limits between interior design and furniture design are blurred.

this project calls for a simple but flexible facility to cater for a retail office - a casual workspace for a relatively young working crew who could feel at ease at the office.The office is located one floor above the outlet and is accessible via the staircase behind an automatic mirror sliding door. Upon entering the office, visitors are greeted by rows of white glass and black tinted mirror cabinets that distinctively set the circulation area apart from the working areas. Mirror is used as the primary material in the public
design systems ltd. area as it reflects the movement of people and helps to transform the circulation corridor into a wider space. Walking through the corridor, one is overwhelmed by a sense of visual continuity, a playful contrast of solid and void as well as reflective features of the mirror cabinets which frame the working space behind.the two main divisions: administration and design departments are split, each occupying a different wing of the l-shaped layout.

这个专案要求设计简单而灵活的办公室设施,为年轻的员工创制出轻松愉悦的工作环境。
商店的自动玻璃门后的楼梯通往上层的办公室。甫进办公室,排列整齐的白色玻璃和黑色镜面橱柜立刻映入眼帘,明晰地划分开走道与工作区的范围。镜子是公共区域的主要物料,反映出人的活动,并且扩阔了走廊的空间。沿走廊而行,可以强烈感受到视觉的连贯感、虚实的交织,以及勾勒出后方工作区的镜面橱柜所呈现的反射特色。
办公室的两个主要部门──行政部及设计部──被分别置于L形布局的两翼,这里大量采用中密度纤维板和软木板等带原始气息的物料,与行人通道形成强烈的对比。
在楼层的角位,单面反光镜墙围拢出高级行政人员的办公室;镜墙既不阻隔视线,又同时提供了私密性。
深入办公室后方,一道楼梯通往楼下双层高的研讨室及董事长办公室。董事长办公室一侧是单面反光玻璃墙,让董事长既可俯瞰楼下的店面,而又不会让室外的人窥见办公室内的情景。一般而言,流动线的末端都是死胡同,但在这里,设计师构思出「回环形」的流动线,访客从楼下店铺进入办公室,走到路线的尽头处又可俯瞰入口区。
修长的空间同时意味著自然光线的不足,因此办公室后方用玻璃围起的庭院意在尽量引入更多的日光。原有的庭院空间分作两部分,其中一部分用来建造天窗,以为研讨室带来充沛的自然光。
简单的布局在对比鲜明的材质映衬下,显得焕然一新:白色玻璃和黑色镜子相互呼应,还有中密度纤维板橱柜、软木板、雪白的墙壁、现有结构上的灰色水泥防火层和深灰色自流平地台。各种物料的应用根据空间的等级层次,以标志出办公室内的不同区域:工作区采用粗犷的原材料,公共流动区以镜子作粉饰,而行政和董事长办公区则选用单面反光玻璃。整个办公室因此成为了充满反影、灯光和透明感等各项效果的有趣媒介,一个简单而活泼的工作环境亦由此而生。

in contrast to the circulation area, raw materials such as mdF and corkboard panels are extensively applied.At one corner, single-sided reflective glass walls mark the executive office, providing some privacy, yet allowing visual transparency.Walking further in, an internal staircase near the back of the office leads down to a double-volume discussion lounge and the director’s office. the reflective glass wall at one side of the director’s room allows an overview of the shop area below. While the office is pretty much hidden behind the wall, people outside cannot look through to the other side of the reflective glass into the work area. typically, planning a space at the end of the circulation route means a dead end zone. However, a “loop” circulation route is created here where one can enter from the shop below with a pathway that ends at a space overlooking the entrance area.Having an elongated plan also means restriction of natural light. Thus, attempts are made to provide as much sunlight as possible by having a glass walled courtyard at the back of the office. The original courtyard space is divided into two to allow provision of skylight into the discussion lounge below.the simplicity of the interior plan is revitalized by contrasting materials; white glass is offset by black tinted mirror; reflective glass, mdF cabinets, corkboard panels, white walls, grey cementitious fire protection of existing structures and the dark grey self leveling flooring. different materials are utilized to indicate different zones of the workspace according to its hierarchy: raw materials for general office space, mirror for public circulation, and single-sided reflective glass for executive and director’s office. spatially, the office becomes a playful medium packed with reflection, lighting and transparency, creating a simple yet dynamic workspace.

Following the design concept of the recently completed Shenzhen Shekou office, the design for the Hong Kong office expanded on the original, creating a more sophisticated environment.As with the Shekou office, a restrained and refined colour and material palette of concrete, MDF, and soft mushroom tones was used. These earthy tones reflect EDAW’s business as an open space/urban design firm.Items usually relegated to the back of house such as the light tables are displayed in the middle of the space and act as dramatic light fixtures and ambient icons. The exception to the muted palette is the pantry, which glows yellow from behind the slanted gallery wall.The main conference room is an open space that can be closed off with a floor to ceiling curtain for privacy when required. The two smaller meeting rooms are white cubes with a paper edge detail to the periphery walls. The high style and feel of the space belies the stringent budget.

秉承新近完成位于深圳蛇口的办公室之设计理念,香港办事处的设计对「原著」进行延伸,创造了一个更为精密的环境。
该办公室和蛇口的一样,都采用了柔和细致的色彩,以及混凝土和MDF板上的素雅色调。这些富泥土气息的色彩反映了「易道」作为一所公共空间/城市设计公司的本质。
通常摆放在建筑后部的物件如灯箱现都设置在中央,当作成引人注目的灯光装置。与其他色调朴实的区域不同,粉刷了黄色的茶水间就像从走廊上的斜墙后散发出光彩来。
主会议室是一个开放的空间,但可以按需要把落地窗帘拉上,将其遮闭起来。两个更小的会议室仿如置于白色立方体内,而周围的墙壁都修饰得非常细腻。整个空间高雅的格调掩饰了其吃紧的预算。

B2B is a graphic design agency based in Maastricht. it’s a young and innovative company that creates hip, high-quality graphic designs. there is a contrast between the hip, young, and dynamic people working inside and the traditional, historic, and almost idyllic look of the building. the contrast greatly provides the interior designer a point of departure for his design. The castle was built as a fort and served for many years as a monastery, a recreational complex, and a prison for the Saint Servaes Chapter. In
Maurice Mentjens these surroundings where hip, modern young people now work, they have managed to introduce the digital age within these centuries-old walls. This inspired me to take the history of the castle as my point of departure in designing the interior and to place modern objects inside the medieval architectural elements.

工作的地点由一间大的工作室、两间小房间以及两间房中间的大厅所组成。两间稍小的房间,其中一间涂成紫红色,可当作办公室或会议室;而另一间则漆上灰色,用作厨房,举行会议或甚至休闲区域。
进入最大的房间,两张大的白色办公桌,排成一直线并摆放在工作室中,将空间一分为二,中间留出一条小通道。在其中一张办公桌的一端摆放著一个高大的红色书架,而另一张则摆放著一个较细小的白色书架。看著这两张办公桌,让人不禁联想起城堡上的炮台、吊桥或是僧侣们用餐的餐桌。一个大的塔形木橱柜位于办公桌旁边,长长的条纹状天鹅绒披盖在柜门上。对面的一道墙绘上树的影子,知更鸟的身影站在树枝上。此外,一个真实的知更鸟闹钟悬挂在树影之上。
另外的两间房,大小相同、并排而列,位于大厅的另一端。两间房内都自天花而下悬挂著一个巨大的圆柱体。在那紫色调的房间,圆柱体于天花浮现,好似一座塔的部份。圆柱体无论与墙或天花的色调和材质都十分吻合,是整个办公室中不可或缺的一部分。
一张巨大的银白色办公桌/会议桌摆放于房间中央,正正在电灯底下。一个巨大的红色半透明状圆柱体悬挂在灰色调的房间中,看上去犹如一盏特大红色油灯悬挂在祭坛上空。因此,这个深灰色调的空间便成了厨房。灰色的墙面以及水泥地板四处渗透著那种小教堂般的气息,电灯中透出淡红色灯光,为整个房间增添一丝暖意。另外,房间的另一边是一堵巨大的木墙,看起来像极了古老的城门。

the office area consists of a large workspace and two smaller rooms separated from one another by a hall. One of the smaller rooms is purple-pink in colour and serves as the office and/or conference space, while the other is grey and serves as the kitchen/conference/relaxation area. Inside the larger workspace, there are two large white work tables set up in line so as to divide the area into two, with a passageway left open between the tables. At the end of one table there is a large red bookshelf, and at the end of the other is a smaller white bookshelf. The tables remind people of the castle’s fortifications and drawbridge, but are also reminiscent of the tables at which the monks ate in the refectory.next to the tables are a large tower-shaped wooden cabinet and a large cabinet panel covered by long velvet drapes in heraldic colours. On the opposite wall, there is a wall painting depicting the shadow of a tree with a cuckoo clock as an independent element in the branches. The two other rooms are identical in size and are located next to one another on the other side of the hallway. In both rooms, there is a very large cylinder suspended from the ceiling. In the purple room, it appears to emerge from the ceiling as the remains of a tower. The cylinder is of exactly the same colour and texture as the wall and ceiling and is therefore an integral part of its surroundings. in the middle of the room stands a large silver desk/conference table placed precisely beneath the lamp. a large red translucent cylinder is suspended in the grey room, reminiscent of a giant red oil lamp hanging above an altar, which, in this case is the dark grey kitchen unit. the grey walls and concrete floor reinforce the impression of a chapel, whereas the reddish glow from the lamp adds the element of warmth to the room. On one side, the room is closed off by a large wooden wall, which looks somewhat like an old castle gate.

Confronted with a project that only has 210 sq m intended for various spaces for a full spectrum of different functions, careful considerations on the structure have become a critical factor in the design. materials used are mainly translucent, black or intensively toned with more lively features which include lines, curves, and half-openings to create interesting contrasts. the corporate colours of black, white, grey, and red are extensively applied throughout the design. the forms of lines and curves begin at the lift lobby, passing through the conference room as the space centrepiece, and onto the opening workspace.Taking the nature of business and corporate image into consideration, the designers intend to create a working environment that focuses on “Communication is the point” which results in a semi-open

Passing the reception lobby, there is a meeting room for 3 people; and in order to ensure a smooth flow of working procedures, the office stations are designed in special forms which resembles a windmill. Behind the meeting room is a place for resting; and behind that is the open workspace. Using the lake as the theme, the desks are connected to meet team requirements and maximize space flexibly.

面对项目空间实用面积只有210平方米,里面却需设置多个各有不同功能之空间,所以重新规划空间就成为设计大前提。这个项目主要以半透明,冷感及黑色物料作为主要应用,而形态上侧以流线形,弧形以及半开放式等较生动的表达手法作对比。整体色彩以黑、白、灰、红作为配合公司形象之色调,弧形以及流线形设计由电梯大堂起,经作为空间规划核心的会议室,一直贯通至开放式的工作间。
以设计工作背景及形象为考虑因素,设计师希望以轻松手法道出「著重沟通」之工作气氛,故此会议区以半开放式形态出现。 经过会客室后是一个3人用之会议室。为配合团队的工作流程,故设计出风车形之办公桌,会议区之背面设置休憩区。其后是开放式的工作间,以湖水作为概念,设计出一个连贯之工作间,同时也满足了团队的工作模式以及大大增加空间运用之灵活性。

Since the office is for a design firm, it needed to reflect the community and creativity of the firm and promote collaboration, teamwork and great design. the office is located on the second and third floors of the pageant, a new live concert and entertainment venue. therefore, the design of the space takes its cues from the “backstage” idea, incorporating curtains, sets, hardware, spotlights, and of course, a stage.Some major design issues and challenges included creating an open floor plan to promote communication and collaboration; using inspirational and unique colours and materials; developing efficient and distinctive ways to display projects; and providing plenty of storage space for materials, projects and files.

设计上主要面对的挑战包括:打造一个开放式的平面空间以促进交流与合作;使用令人振奋和独特的色彩及素材;发展一套用以高效地展示工程项目的陈列方式;提供充足的空间来储藏物料和文件。
这些问题都得到富创意的解决方案:高高的天花板、几乎没有分隔墙的开放式布局、精心设置和分隔的「私人」及「团体」工作区,这都能促进交流与合作。外露的金属固件和不锈钢强化了办公室的剧场效果。此外,计划书、图纸和物料都归档保存在定制的橱柜、工作台和文档中。摆放无用的档案和展板的储存架则隐藏在天鹅绒帷幕后,方便提取。

these challenges were met with innovative design solutions. High ceilings, and open plan with few dividing walls, careful placement and division of “private” and “team” work areas encourage communication and collaboration. Exposed metal fasteners, and stainless steel accents play up the theatrical look. projects, drawings, and materials are filed and organised in custom-designed cabinets, workstations and flat files. Storage shelving for dead files and presentation boards is hidden behind velvet stage curtains allowing for easy access.

the refurbishment of Wall’s ice Cream office involves approximately 5,000 sq ft for a total of 30 staff. the brief called for open-plan offices combined with a variety of meeting spaces ranging from proper conference rooms to informal “break-out spaces”. the interior has to project an open democratic feel in line with the corporate ethos and fit well into Wall’s global rebranding campaign at the same time. there was no requirement for a traditional reception, instead display area and “tasting bar” was called for.The strategy adopted was to wrap all the open-plan office space round the perimeter thus maximising views and natural lighting for all the occupants and providing a deeper core for meeting rooms, filing storage, and archives. Budget restrictions lead to the adoption of an off-white self-levelling flooring throughout the office and the omission of false ceiling while exposed soffit and services were painted in white. 设计师将开放式的办公区沿周边布置,以引入最多的室外景观和自然光,另一方面把会议室和档案室等安排在核心处。由于预算的限制,整个办公室选用了米色自流平涂料铺装地面,同时省略了吊顶,并将开放的天花和设施漆成白色。墙面为白色层压胶板加不锈钢边框或白色灰泥面。办公桌采用了本地生产的浅灰色胶合板台面,配有电缆装置系统。色彩方面,设计师只选取企业品牌的颜色,用于档案柜、沙发、凳子、休息区内的隔屏和定制的办公桌隔板上。此外,公司近期宣传促销用的一系列海报亦如艺术品般随处可见。

For interior designers, a budget conscious project means more than just a slogan, but a real challenge. To be “cost effective”, besides maximizing the existing resources, redeploying inexpensive materials creatively are techniques for accomplishment.EDGE has chosen an aged commercial building when they decided to expand their office. With very generous headroom, the former tenant had created two levels in the rented space. Maintaining the mezzanine floor, the designer followed the existing four-bay grid structures and extracted two portions of the floor slab on the upper
edge in-house level, creating two double-volume void. Using the columns in the grid system in defining space, the lower level is divided into four zones while the mezzanine has two zones, each themed with varied colours and materials.
The front of the house is the client’s waiting area and space where meetings are conducted. Red and black are the two major colours used in this double-volume space. Black creates an atmosphere which resembles the cinema while red projects mysterious ambience.

「穷得漂亮!」大概是一句戏言,但亦为低成本的项目下一个新的注脚。「平」,对设计师而言,并非口号,而是一个挑战。要减省成本,除了要尽量善用旧有的资源外,还得发掘平价的物料,再以创意改良及包装来满足自家的需求。
当EDGE决定要扩充办公空间,他们挑选了一幢旧式工商大厦。大厦楼底高,前租户已经将单位分为两层,设计师遂保留现存结构,只依循结构中的格子系统,将架高了的四间式夹层剔除其中两间的楼板,造成了两个双层高的中庭空间,然后根据格子式结构中柱子的排列,将下层分为四个区域及夹层两个区域,而每区所采用的物料与色彩主题相异。
下层的四个区域包括了前厅的等待 会议区、后部的两个设计组工作间,以及员工讨论区。前厅是来访者等待及举行会议的地方,红与黑在这双层高的空间中平分秋色:黑色营造了如同戏院的气氛,而红色散发出诱人的神秘感。一面软木板用来展示意念及张贴告示。为了节省成本,会议台是由一张乒乓球桌经喷上红色改装而成。沙发、会议台面及储物室的墙体均以红色加以突显,并且只有这些物件有聚光灯照射著,如是,在柔和的灯光下,即使需要投影,也不用关灯。当来访者甫进室内,即感受到其独特的氛围与一般办公室大相迳庭。
经过一道木造的「隧道」(两旁是书架)来到工作间。两个工作区之间是中空的讨论区,这里放置了一张从旧办事处搬来的长铁台,供设计师们翻开图样研究、讨论。围绕中庭的墙面及地上均铺盖了绿色地毯,营造出绿油油的环境。
夹层上设有行政部,及沿窗而置的董事长办公及会客区。行政部职员各分配了一个独立的、由中密度纤维板造的工作亭,这些木亭原来是为某客户特别设计的临时工作间,后来回收并沿用至今;员工们只需把闸门拉下便可拥有私密的空间。

The four zones on the lower level include the reception and conference room at the front, two working spaces for design team and a central common discussion area. The front of the house is the client’s waiting area and space where meetings are conducted. Red and black are the two major colours used in this double-volume space. Black creates an atmosphere which resembles the cinema while red projects mysterious ambience. on the side of the wall is a corkboard displaying presentations and bulletins. in order to minimize cost, a table tennis desk is painted red to become the conference table. only the reddish sofa, conference table and wall of the storage room are accented by spotlight, so that with holistic soft lighting, the place is suitable for projecting images or videos without turning off any lights. Visitors are immediately impressed by the unique setting that is so distinctive from a conventional office.Following a wooden corridor lined by bookshelves on both sides is the working space for design team sharing a discussion area in the middle. The discussion area is furnished with a long steel desk from the old office. The walls and floor in this area are carpeted in green creating a green environment.The upper level is the administration office and the director’s office. Administration staff are each supplied with an individual wooden cubicle made of MdF. The cubicles were temporary workstations specially designed for a client; and now they have become seclusive cubicles for employees.The director’s office showcases several unique chairs, resembling a small-scale chair museum. At the end of the office is a cozy break area where informal meetings can be held. The zones adjacent to the windows on both floors are finished in zinc plates and painted in silver to effectively utilize the natural sunlight through reflection.

instead of a conventional reception lobby, the prologue of the office is a boutique style Gallery reserved for multi-functional flexibilities such as exhibitions and cocktail events. the Gallery is also installed with audio-visual equipment, and multi-lighting effects specially designed for different events.The inclined Black-Textural Tile Wall intensifies the strong sensation at the reception counter where Asian style settings are placed as a waiting area.ignoring the conventional programming and typology in the directors’ rooms, a hall of Fame is designated as the second spine to highlight various outstanding projects for visitors. the directors’ rooms are thus conceived as “Glass boxes” along the hall of Fame and are elevated for accessible storage. in between the two elevated “Glass boxes”, a ViP lounge serves as an accented space for visitors.

一改传统主管室的规划和类型,该设计中加入了一个名为「荣誉厅」的位置,有如办公室的第二脊椎,为访客展出多款出色的作品。沿荣誉厅而设的主管级房间有如一个个玻璃盒子,也成为了高架储藏室。在两个高架玻璃盒子之间,访客可到VIP小厅房稍作休息或等候。
商场风格的会议室摒弃传统会议室的模式,采用了黑核桃色调,并配上黑色的镜子。会议室还配备了多重灯效,用于不同的会谈形式。
中央水池和开放式酒吧乃设计师别出心裁之选。与传统设计不同,设计师的工作区是环形且高架的。高架的平台既有储藏功能,又不占用额外空间,大大开阔了设计师的工作间。
开放式酒吧特意采用白色,这样就能点缀一下黑色和浅啡色调为主的工作区域,且有缓冲的作用。

The Boutique-Style Conference Room does not carry any trace of a traditional conference room. Painted in deep hues of walnut with inlay dark mirrors, the room is equipped with “Ulti-Lighting Systems” for different meeting modes.the centre Pond and open bar are other special touches by the designer. the designers’ working area is circled off in an unconventional elevated ring. raised platform and overhead shelves offer storage without occupying additional space, thus allowing maximum working area for designers. choice of white is used for the open bar to signify a break from the rest of the working place in black and beige.

at mohen design international, every design created has a purpose. the purpose for this project is to redefine the meaning of classical decorating elements in contemporary architecture. elements such as the trim, the key-stone, and the arch traditionally played dual roles as decorating elements as well as structural bearing elements. in contemporary architecture, this is no longer the case. these elements no longer have structural bearing roles and now retain only decorating purposes. In this project, the designers have taken a three-storey tall building in downtown Shanghai and designed it to strongly emphasize the purely decorative nature of these classical elements in modern architecture. Designers are always trying to innovate, to find new ways of expression through architecture, as demonstrated in the use of in-house designed acrylic chandeliers and white relief backdrops made from acrylic floral panels. These original pieces accentuate the .
mohen design international workspace yet are subtle enough not to cause distraction. Beside the reception desk, designers also used two free-standing boxes to enclose the pantry, copy room, and bathroom. These boxes have both form and function, adding visual effects at the same time utilizing the space to its maximum potential.entering the stainless steel gate is the main working area. two long faux-finished tables occupy the centre of the space and are lit by modified table lamps as the main task light. sliding doors made of stainless steel modular strips play the role of the backdrop of the work space, while at the same time concealing the shelves that house the clutters of daily office equipment and documents. the colours used are mainly black, white, and stainless steel. the designers’ playful use of lines can be seen throughout the building. the designers believe that people should be the subject of a workspace, and therefore all of the elements in the workspace serve to allow the focus to be on the people who are present.

the overall design concept brings smart technology and contemporary elegance to the new hong Kong headquarters of star.
marc and chantal design The new office space needs to reflect Star’s changing and increasingly diversified products, as well as an advanced medium in the form of flat-screen technology. It also has to support the changing work patterns adopted by its staff. Initially, the brief was restricted to the revamping of the main boardroom. However, Marc & Chantal Design’s proposal extended to remodeling the adjoining reception and lounge. Their efforts not only stamped a coherent theme on the interiors, but more importantly, it freed up the rather stuffy, enclosed boardroom space to the natural light and views. One of Star’s prime concerns was to present the highly technological aspect of their products and services to visiting clientele, such as investors, partners and bankers, without being overly futuristic.

新工作环境需要反映出Star TV的转变和不断发展的各种产品,以及宽屏幕这类先进的多媒体技术。另外,设计还需支持员工富变化的工作模式。最初,客户只要求对董事会议室进行装修,但后来设计公司将装修延伸到邻近的接待处和休息室,设计成果不但令室内装饰协调统一,更重要的是一改原有沉闷、呆板的气息,显得开阔惬意,董事会议室变得视野开阔,光线充足。客户的宗旨之一是要向每一位来访者(投资者、合作伙伴、银行家)展示他们最新最好的产品,诚心地为他们提供最优秀的服务。
一进入办公室便即感受到一种时光停顿的舒适和惬意。来访者可能会想到:闪烁的灯光、投影墙、调色板,然后是太空船的影像。然而,客户却想避免给人这种感觉。设计师要以一种非常人性化且出其不意的手法解决技术上的问题。
接待处与董事长会议室之间的墙壁被拆除,因此,接待处的视野得到了扩展,会议室则成为了空间的中心。通常许多办公室内的会议室被用作展览室,甚至被看作是公司身份的象征,并且只用于特别的正统场合。而在Star TV,董事长会议室永远也不会被束之高阁。
无框双突透镜的玻璃墙无形地将接待处、休息区与会议室分开,后面展示著一面超大的屏幕,提供清晰及全方位的图像,向到达接待处的访客即时传递集团的讯息。玻璃墙面因双突透的效果,好像掩盖上了一层神秘的面纱,当人们经过,表面好似泛起涟漪,产生清澈、半透的共鸣。当会议室开启UMU系统,视觉又再一次发生改变,双突透镜的玻璃板变成了密实的墙壁,为正在进行的会议提供私密性,却仍可引入自然光线。
设计公司要为客户建造一个「传媒花园」,于是将自然元素融入设计之中。设计师对竹墙进行另一种处理手法,运用木材编接的方法将树干编织成一个树林,横过玻璃墙板的前方。迷你型的宽屏幕安装在树枝中,电线等则隐藏在中空的支干内,播放著所有频道的影视片段。宽屏的周边重新设计,用少量的金属和磨砂玻璃做框,保持著一种时尚统一的美感,突出了橡木以及木炭镶板的质感。
无线触摸屏幕控制著空间的动态,密切关注著室内的技术装置--从镶嵌在休息室矮餐桌上的触摸屏到一尘不染的会议桌面。而会议桌的每一个座位上都安装了多重资料连接器,扩音器装在天花上,桌面整洁毫无电缆的纷扰, 人们在讲话时便可以在房间内自由走动。大萤幕导演著双重角色:电动白板,以及一组墙面式等离子萤幕,用做商业展示之用简单传送著商品的资讯。天然元素”Media Garden”与会议室中的橡木墙壁相对应,并用钢质材料镶边。
科技的高速发展,往往超过高档时尚潮流的转变。设计师们明白潮流这东西是有时限的,甚至设计很可能只会盛行几个季度。因此,这项目的主旨集中在推销品牌、了解客户动态发展,以及与客户的交流,而不单只是关注华丽的外在装饰。

the first impression upon entering the office is a sense of comfort and timelessness. some might expect throbbing lights, projection walls and a palette that reflects a spaceship, but that was exactly what star wanted to avoid. With the walls between the reception area and the boardroom broken down, the horizon of the reception landscape is broadened, the boardroom now becomes the centre-piece. In many offices the function of a conference room is treated like a showcase or status symbol and only used on the odd, formal occasion, but at Star TV, the boardroom is in consistent use.a frameless, lenticular glass wall seamlessly separates the reception and lounge from the boardroom, where an oversized screen mounted at the rear radiates a clear corporate message to those arriving at the reception. the glass panel adds a layer of mystery through its lenticular treatment, resonating between clear and translucent as one passes through its surface. the perspective changes again when the boardroom comes into play - the UmU system is activated, transforming the lenticular glass into an opaque wall. meetings are thereby guaranteed complete privacy whilst preserving natural light.Marc & Chantal Design responded to the client’s wish for natural elements in the design through the creation of a “media garden”. Reworking the idea of a bamboo wall, the designers used spliced timber struts to weave a forest of trees across the glazed facade. Mini flat-screen monitors projecting footage from all the various Star TV channels are planted within the branches with their cables hidden in the hollow stems. The casings were redesigned in a minimal metallic and frosted mirror frame to maintain an overall contemporary aesthetic outlined by oak and timbers and charcoal slate. Whilst wireless touch-screens controlled the dynamics of the

space, meticulous attention was paid to embedding the technology in the interiors - from the touch screens recessed in the low tables of the lounge, to the ultra-clean surface of the conference table. the latter is equipped with multiple data connections at every seat while microphones are fitted in the ceiling, leaving the table top uncluttered of cable channels and giving users the freedom to speak from anywhere in the room. the large screen does double duty as an electronic white-board, and a series of wall-mounted plasma screens support business presentations or simply relay the brand message. the natural elements of the “media garden” are also alluded to in the conference room’s oak wall, which is inscribed with fronds of wenge outlined in steel.With technology advancement coming up quicker than high-street fashion, the designers steered clear of anything that might only last a couple of seasons. The design focus was on branding the space; understanding the dynamics of the company and its communication, rather than stylish cosmetics.

the new headquarters of the biggest Pr agency in hamburg, Fischerappelt kommunikation, is rebuilt and revamped from a few buildings in a worn out industrial area of hamburg-eimsbuttel, creating the “Medienpool Waterloohain”. two of the completed projects - Waterloohain 5 + 9 - designed by Carsten roth architekt, got an additional new roof floor which blends into the 25m x 60m x 12m base (the existing three-/four-storey building) it shelters, making it look as an autonomous building.
Carsten roth architekt The design focuses on the spatial interpretation of communication. It also intends to increase productivity, and emphasize its new image and culture. Thus a distinct visual presentation and a unique virtual space challenging to copycat competitors are developed. Different teams are allocated in different spaces that have no apparent enclosures but a multitude of virtual spatial expressions defining its various zones. This built virtual space is anchored with the “white box” where business clients are shown “what” the company does. Its contrary is the “black box” - a suspended “Thinking Cube” full of spatial reflections - concealing “how” the media people create their ideas.
Waterloohain 9 is converted from a formerly bowling centre built in 60’s with a new roof floor and new façade added to create an office building for a media business.

汉堡最大的公共传媒机构FischerAppelt Kommunikation全新的总部办公楼座落在Ham-burg-Eimsbuttel一个破旧的工业区内,那里的几幢大厦经过重建和装修,变成了一个「传媒库」。其中两个落成项目Waterloohain 5 + 9是由Carsten Roth Architekt建筑师事务所设计的。加建的顶层融入到其庇护的25m x 60m x 12m的基部(即原有分别是三层和四层的建筑物),使大厦看来俨如一座独体建筑。
设计重点在于对「交流」空间的诠释,其设计亦要能提高生产力、强化公司新形像及文化,因此,设计师创造了一套独特的视觉语言,塑造出一种不易为竞争对手所抄袭的虚拟空间。各工作团队拥有各自的领域,虽然没有明显的围墙封闭,但众多的虚拟空间表现手法划分了各区。此种虚拟空间固定在一个用以向客户展示公司业务的「白盒子」里,相对的「黑盒子」──一个悬浮著、充满了空间影像的「思考立方体」──将传媒的思考模式与工作过程隐藏起来。设计的创新就在于这样一个有形的虚拟空间,成为不同传媒工作队及顾客亲切的家,它更跨越了都市的格局,进入无限的空间可塑性之中。
内部空间结构较为简洁,既降低了成本,又比以前的布局更富启发性。建筑能够激发员工的积极性,这可从办公室的工作效益及员工每周自愿留下工作的时间来量度。半透明玻璃墙清晰地将空间划分为多个宽裕的单位,同时又保留了楼层的宽敞、开扬和明亮感,这样的空间亦可解读为对「交流」的建筑之体现。
团队是传媒大家庭中的重要组成部分,每个团员都是整体中不可忽视的一部分。六至八人的团队给分配一个房间,而主管人员则拥有半透明的办公室,确保所有职员都能享受到自然光与自然通风。各单位自成一个独特的主题区,皆通向公共的中央大厅。各种会议室分散布置,内部会客站为公司内部的不同队伍在进行合作时,提供交流和沟通的场地;休憩区的悠闲气息柔和了工作间紧张的氛围。高科技新闻室与联系中央大厅的主会议室成为客户、来宾的焦点与方向。这种独特的空间布局——将不同的工作团队与部门的空间造成不同的主题区,像披著面纱般朝向访客,饶富吸引力。
这座建筑对于附近衰落的工业区造成新的冲击,印证了企业超越媒体空间的视野与能力;它以全新的视觉空间渗入城市文化,成为当地一个重要景观。
Waterloohain 9改建了原来兴建于六十年代的保龄球中心,透过加入新的顶层和立面,使之变成传媒公司的新办事处。Waterloohain 9 is converted from a formerly bowling centre built in 60’s with a new roof floor and new façade added to create an office building for a media business.

Consequently, space is readable as the architectural manifestation of the idea of communication.Teams are integral units of the communicating family. Every team member is an indispensable part of the whole. All units are distinct zones leading into a common central hall. Each single room accommodates a team of 6 to 8 members with its supervisor occupying a semi-visible room. Daylight and natural ventilation are provided for every employee. There are various decentralized conference rooms, and internal meeting places where different in-house work groups can utilize to exchange ideas. A Soft Zone is incorporated in the workspace for recreation to improve the working atmosphere. The High tech newsroom and the main conference room connected to the central hall create a focus and orientation for business clients, guests and applicants. The unique way to present different teams and the themed zones of various departments mysteriously facing the visitors is highly attractive.the architecture gives a new impact to a run-down neighbourhood to demonstrate the company’s vision and potency beyond media’s space. Besides becoming the landmark of the district, it reaches out to blend into the urban context in perfect harmony.

The Private Space hosts Haworth Asia Pacific regional headquarters and is set up in an open and shared plan that reflects the more communicative, flat structure being embraced by progressive companies. This area does not have individual office rooms to reveal the new trend of traveling managerial-level staff.Public, privileged, and private areas are integrated in one space at the Centre allowing businesses in Shanghai to discover what’s possible by using this live laboratory. It also offers an ideal location to stimulate creativity for meetings, seminars and brainstorming sessions outside of the office.

按照不同的需求和位置,呈现出丰富多样的办公室景观:开放式的工作室和封闭的办公室相互交错。私密集中的工作区域巧妙地设置在花园和中庭等公共开放空间的对面。
大厦立面的百叶窗把阳光折射,为大部分的办公空间带来自然光线,而中庭亦凭借各式设施争取自然采光。天窗下的棱镜天花将下射的光线过滤,减低眩目效果,但却确保一定的亮度。经过滤的光线通过人造枝形吊灯和反射「光墙」分散各处。枝形吊灯由压克力棱镜片制造,其散发的彩虹光芒和不断变化的图案,使整个中庭变得生动起来,并且随著一日的光线转变而产生无穷的变幻。此外,日光重定向系统(日光反射装置及固定镜面)更加强了中庭的采光。

Branching out like a tree, its branches and twigs stem from the centre of the building to the façades, creating an interweaving spatial quality. The atrium connects various areas which are organized like a vertical city with individual “dwellings” or work places, generous public areas, and gardens.a diversity of office landscape is developed: open workstations and secluded offices are interchanged depending on requirements and situations. concentrated and private work areas are in stimulating opposition to the public and open spaces of the gardens and atrium.Offices are, for the most part, naturally illuminated through re-directional blinds located at the façade while the atrium is naturally lit by a variety of measures. A prismatic ceiling beneath the skylight filters the light downward, reducing glare, but not the amount of light. The filtered sunlight is then further dispersed into the interior of the building through artificial “chandeliers” and a reflective “light wall”. The chandeliers, made of acrylic prism plates, animate the atrium with shifting patterns of iridescent light. They appear as a cloud of light moving and changing with different light patterns throughout the day. The lighting of the atrium is further enhanced by a sunlight redirection system (heliostats and fixed mirrors). Genzyme center is located in the midst of other

the new building of norddeutsche Landesbank (north German clearing bank) is located at the margin of the city. to the north is the city itself and to the south are the residential districts of southern hanover. to the west, the site addresses the town hall and an adjacent sports and recreation park, Maschpark. a theatre marks the eastern boundary. the “aegidientorplatz” at the northeastern corner of the site is a busy traffic junction.The location of the new complex, its use as an administration building, as well as its size, all make it difficult to allocate it either to the city to the north or to the residential districts to the south. It is more a kind

Norddeutsche Landesbank(德国北部的一所银行)新大楼坐落于城市的边缘。大楼北边是市区,南面则是南汉诺威的住宅区,西边有市政厅及与之相邻的Maschpark运动休憩公园。大楼东边毗连一家剧院。东北角的Aegidientorplatz广场则是繁忙的交通交汇处。
鉴于新总部大楼的位置、规模和作为行政大厦的用途,使它与北边市镇以及南边住宅区的关系难以界定。它更像是一个过渡空间,成为连接零售、商业、居住、文化、体育和休闲娱乐等不同城市活动的纽带。
大楼高低错落的造型让它更能结合到原有的城市格局中。
为了使大楼成为城市与住宅区之间的一个连接点,设计师采用了开放的地面层,并布置了餐厅、商店和酒吧等向公众开放的设施,使地面层依然属于城市的一部分。庭院中布置了大规模的水景和天台花园,以融入到周围的自然环境中。多层高的入口大堂、餐厅和公共地方直接而安静地与庭院相连。
真正的银行设施始于一楼,可通过富气派的独立楼梯抵达。透明管道连接大楼的各个部分,在夏季时更可以打开其顶荙。
大楼高层设有休闲廊和行政办公室等特别元素。它鹤立鸡群,高度接近七十米,从原来规矩的建筑形式跳脱开来,并与周围环境及市中心较松散的格局相呼应,成为了当地一座新的标志性建筑。
面向邻街的建筑在设计上力图令上层楼面获得经济高效的办公室布局。大楼的不同部分提供了不同的办公室深度,以配合多元的工作间类型,诸如开放式、个人式、蜂窝式、组合式、团队式、双排和三排等等。在室内,所谓的「必要楼梯」被用作分隔出独立工作区的一个媒体。

The desire for a linking element between the city and the residential districts has been met by an open and largely accessible ground-floor area, which remains a part of the town. This area accommodates publicly accessible facilities such as restaurants, shops, and bars. The courtyard has been carefully landscaped with large-scale water elements and planted roof gardens, thus establishing connections to the vicinity. renting this premise on a one-year short-term contract, the client requests a functional design that is cost efficient and at the same time, give out a sense of design interests to reflect the nature of this packaging design company.Compass in Chinese Fung Shui is the basic design concept in this project, and the allocation of function is in accord with an abstract compass. The centre of the ‘compass’ is the reception/waiting area, from which multiple orbicular patterns are emanated and appeared on circular ceiling, carpet, niches, curvy display shelves and wallboard. To the east of the ‘compass’ there is reception counter, south is display area, west is general office area and north is conference room. Therefore, important spaces are all properly arranged.in order to minimize the cost, various colour paints prevail the office serving as finish as well as to define different spaces. 由于客户是以一年的短期合约租用这个单位,因此设计必须低成本,但却要满足功能上的需求,并且饶富设计趣味,以反映其作为包装设计公司的 质。
中国风水中所使用的罗盘是此项目最基础的设计理念,功能的铺排亦是依据一个抽象的罗盘。“罗盘”的中心是接待/等候区,从中心点出发,放射出多重环状图案,体现在圆形天花、地毯、壁龛、弧形陈列架和墙板上;而“罗盘”的东面是接待柜台,南方是陈列区,西边是主工作室,北面乃会议室。如此,重要的空间都给安排妥当。
为减省成本,办公室主要以彩色油漆来粉饰及作划分空间之用。红色是整个办公室的基调,鲜明夺目,连电梯厅也全漆上红油。宽敞的接待/等候区则采用了红和黑这个对比强烈的色彩组合,而喷上银漆的接待柜台极具金属感;为配合圆形主题,柜台的木条装饰也造成弯曲状。紫、蓝、炭灰色的环形地毯从中心点逐层向外放射,并与圆形天花互相呼应。
毗连的会议室由黑铁框落地玻璃分隔,为了私密度,隔墙的中间装设了磨砂玻璃,而顶部及低部则使用清澈的玻璃,以让光线渗透到等候区。会议室内,两盏眼泪形的灯具点缀了鲜红的空间。
主工作间可容纳三十多人,只以黄色的墙面配衬开放式的天花,符合了经济效益。

the office is located on the 5th floor of a building, standing right on the main crossroads of harajuku, tokyo. it is composed of two rooms: a private space (a working space for twelve persons 35.59 m2), and a public space (a beauty/make up consulting space, make up salon, and beauty school 52.35 m2).Making good use of colours is a strong point for this project, in an original and cheerful way, and in reaction to a certain fashionable coldness (concrete, glass, grey, white) of the contemporary interiors and buildings in Tokyo. As the working area is quite limited, it is important that storage space does not interfere with the working space - that is why the shelves are installed by the walls.in the central area, a 6 m long and 1.4 m wide desk is divided by semi-transparent partitions. 1m x 0.9m high transparent glass partitions define three mini-spaces, a waiting room, which can also be used as a private makeup space for ViPs, and two meeting/

办公室位于大厦的五楼,正好在东京Harajuku的主要十字路口上。它有两个房间,分别是私人房间(35.59平方米,供12个人办公)和一个公共空间(52.35 平方米,用作美容/化妆谘询空间、化妆沙龙和美容学校)。
以最原来和轻松的方式充分利用色彩是本项目的一个特点,这也映衬了当代内部和东京建筑中某种流行的冷色调(钢筋、玻璃、灰和白色调)。由于办公室空间有限,所以储藏空间不能影响到工作的空间。为此,书架都是沿墙而立的。
在整个办公室的中心区,一个6米长、1.4米高的桌子被半透明的隔墙分开。1米乘0.9米高的透明玻璃隔墙分出三个小空间:一个休息室,可作为VIP客户的私人化妆室、一个会议室和一个谘询室。这些隔墙既增强了亮度,也避免在紧凑的空间形成拥挤感。隔墙上有黄色、橙色、粉色、绿色和蓝色的帘子。每个彩色的帘子都有一定的高度,既避免阻碍视线,又增添了空间的新颖和私密性。
正如化妆本身,色彩是本项目的特点。原来的设计使用了一些时尚的冷色调,如混凝土和玻璃,以及单一的视觉冲击。设计师提出了全新的观点,运用温馨明快的色彩来取代原来的设计。

consulting spaces. these partitions let the daylight penetrate and avoid the sensation of closeness in a compact space. they are covered with coloured sheets -yellow, orange, pink, red, green, and blue. Each coloured sheet is situated only up to a certain height to avoid blocking the sight, giving originality to the space as well as a little privacy.Just like the makeup itself, colours are used as a strong point for this project. Emmanuelle proposed a fresh new idea of bringing in warmth and fun colouring as opposed to the original design which had a certain coldness of concrete, glass and monotone visual impact.
