Library Pages

Who are library pages?
Students who love to be in the library and help others
Grade 5 students who turn in applications (Grade 4 are joining this semester)
Around 10 students (20 turned out to be too many!)
Committed to come at lunch recess (30 min.) on weekly basis for the whole year

What do they do?
Tidy up books on shelves
Check in and out books under supervision
Shelve books
Keep books in order (responsible for specific shelves)
Help other students find books and use the library
Support library special events (SAS Reads, Visiting Authors etc.)

Charades
Scope of their responsibilities through games
Norms - Be on time; Helping everyone; Sharing jobs; Be respectful
Make posters for SAS Reads (pictures of themselves ‘Get caught reading’ - ComicLife)
Record themselves introducing different sections and make the clips into a movie of library tour

Visiting Author EventHosts - Practice scripts for welcoming assembly
Shooting crew - film the ‘celebrities’ - into a movie

Dress up promoting Love of Reading Week

Not coming according to the schedule
