Motivational Interviewing (OARS)
Step 1: Open questions “What do already you know about healthy eating?”
“Tell me what happens on a really good day?”
Step 2: Affirmations “Tell me what your best friend says you’re really good at?”
Step 3: Reflective listening “When you feel bad, then you feel like eating chocolate”
Step 4: Summarising “On a good day you feel happy and plan your meals after school,
but sometimes you get tempted for a takeaway after school. This is
when get hungry. While you understand 5aDay, sometime it’s difficult
to fit them all in”.
