The third and fourth Galileo satellites, completing the IOV quartet, were launched on 12 October 2012
On 12 March 2013, the first ever position fix using only Galileo satellites and ground segment was achieved.
The In-Orbit Validation phase of Galileo is about to be concluded.
The full operational capability of the Galileo system will be reached by 2020

EGNOS Open Service is operational since October 2009
Its Safety of Life service has been declared operational in March 2011
First commercial flights in Europe to use EGNOS-based LPV procedures
at Alderney airport (Channel Islands), since December 2011
Around 150 approach procedures making use of EGNOS for aircraft
landings approved in Europe
The EGNOS Data Access Service (EDAS) was declared operational
in July 2012
