Contar histórias do texto ao gesto. Usando adereços como estímulo, oferecem-se possibilidades de criação de texto não verbal incluindo modos de o alterar, estender e desfrutar. Exploração do método e processo de criação e interpretação do espectáculo Extra-Ordinary. Storytelling from text to gesture. Using props as stimulus, you will learn ideas to create a non-verbal text including ways to change it, extend it and enjoy performing it. Also, the method and process of devising and performing Extra-Ordinary will be explored.

[ METODOLOGIA / METHODOLOGY ] Explorar o teatro físico e o trabalho de contacto usando técnicas simples para conceber e desenvolver um vocabulário físico. Uma mastercalss física que combina texto e movimento. Parte da coreografia de Extra-Ordinary será ensinada, bem como desvendado o seu vocabulário criativo. O uso de roupa confortável que facilite os movimentos é aconselhável. The workshop will explore physical theatre and contact work using simple techniques to devise and develop a physical vocabulary. It will be a physical masterclass combining text and movement. We'll look at how we made our vocabulary for Extra-Ordinary and teach some of the choreography too. [ BIOGRAFIAS / BIOGRAPHIES ]

DAVID TOOLE Começou a carreira nas artes depois de participar num workshop com a CandoCo Dance Company em 1992. Depois

de se juntar em digressão com a Companhia por seis anos, partiu para explorar outras oportunidades e desde então

tem trabalhado com várias Companhias, incluindo DV8 (The Cost of Living) e Graeae Theatre Company (Blasted) e

mais recentemente com o RSC (I'll be the Devil). No ecrã, actuou em A Lição de Tango, de Sally Potter, Outside In,

com a CandoCo e também Amazing Grace. Desempenhou inúmeros papéis em produções de TV e filme. O seu

projecto mais recente é Boundless em colaboração com Lucy Hind e Remix Dance Company, com sede na Cidade do

Cabo. Repetidamente premiado, é adorado pela crítica e pelo público.

He started his career in arts, after participating in a workshop with the CandoCo Dance Company in 1992. He went

on tour with the Company for six years and then decided to try new things. He has been working with several

Companies, including DV8 (The Cost of Living) and Graeae Theatre Company (Blasted) and more recently

with the RSC (I'll be the Devil). On the screen, he performed in The Tango Lesson, by Sally Potter, in Outside

In, with the CandoCo Dance Company, and also in Amazing Grace. He has played several roles in TV and film

productions. His most recent project is Boundless, a collaboration with Lucy Hind and the Remix Dance

Company, based in Cape Town. He is loved by the critics as well as the public and has been repeatedly

awarded.

LUCY HIND Nascida na África do Sul, aí completou um curso em Teatro (Teatro Físico, Dança Contemporânea, Mimo

Lecoq, Dança e Educação e Coreografia) e outro em Psicologia na Rhodes University. Detém o nível 8 de

Ballet, nível elementar de Dança Moderna&Jazz, nível básico de sapateado, danças de salão e latinas; tocou

flauta em orquestra, aprendeu piano durante 10 anos e é soprano. Está hoje sedeada em Leeds e é

representada pela Sainou (David Marsden). É membro permanente do premiado Slung Low, onde trabalha

como performer e Directora de Movimento em 15 obras até à data. É também freelance para várias empresas

e agências, com 17 obras enquanto Directora de Movimento. Lecciona coreografia e teatro-físico no 2º ano da

Universidade.

She was born in South Africa, where she studied Drama (Physical Theatre, Contemporary Dance, Mimo Lecoq, Dance

and Education and Choreography) and Psychology in Rhodes University. She holds the level 8 in Ballet, the

elementary level in Modern&Jazz Dance and the basic level in tap dance, ballroom and Latin dances. Also, she played

flute in an orchestra, learned piano for 10 years and is a soprano. She is currently based in Leeds and is represented

by Sainou (David Marsden). She is a permanent member of the awarded Slung Low, where she has been working as a

performer and a Movement Director in 15 works till today. Beyond that, she is a freelance for several companies and

agencies, with 17 works as a Movement Director. She teaches choreography and physical theatre in the 2nd year of

University. Extra-Ordinary, a collaboration with David Toole, was awarded in 2010 with the Standard Bank Ovation

Award.

Este workshop explora o impacto do teatro visual e físico na relação com a linguagem gestual. Os participantes terão a oportunidade de explorar um mundo visual no palco assim como o poder e a perícia necessários para oferecer língua gestual em performances. Espaço onde os participantes surdos terão a oportunidade de partilhar as suas experiências enquanto artistas em contexto de workshop e iniciar uma viagem única pela criatividade. Os participantes deverão estar preparados para se mexerem e para terem discussões abertas sobre criação e política cultural. This workshop will explore the impact of visual and physical theatre in relation to sign language. Participants get to explore a visual world on stage, the power and expertise needed to deliver sign language in performance, a chance for deaf participants to share their experiences as artists within

the workshop and for hearing to begin to understand an unique journey to creation. Participants must be prepared to move, and have open discussions both on creation and cultural politics! [ METODOLOGIA / METHODOLOGY ]

O workshop tem como princípios base as perguntas “Quem somos nós?” e “Como estamos nós no espaço?”. Com o uso de contacto visual, gestos, trabalho de sombra, trabalho de fotografia/tableaux, trabalho de coro e texto simples, aproxima estranhos através dos sentidos. Partilharemos sinais e lingua gestual no palco e caminharemos para um trabalho de movimento que coloca a língua gestual no centro enquanto poder, provocação e inspiração. NB: Caso haja utilizadores de lingua gestual, o seu conhecimento irá ser incorporado no decorrer do workshop. A docente utilizará língua gestual Sueca e falará em Inglês. The workshop has the questions “Who are we?” and “How are we in the space?” as ground principles. Using eye contact, gesture, shadow work, picture/tableaux work, chorus work and some simple text, the workshop brings strangers together through the senses, and translates this work into performance. We will share signs and sign language on stage and move towards a movement work which puts sign language at the centre as power, provocation and inspiration. NB: In case there are sign language users, their knowledge will be incorporated into the work. The guider will use Swedish sign language and will speak in English. [ BIOGRAFIA / BIOGRAPHY ]

Riksteatern, Suécia. Já realizou inúmeras produções, tanto em língua

gestual sueca como em sueco. Trabalha num ambiente bi-cultural e

bilingue e é uma das mais procuradas orientadoras de workshops na área

da diversidade.

Award winning director and artistic director for the renowned Tyst Teater

Riksteatern, Sweden. She has directed many productions in Swedish sign

language and in both spoken Swedish and Swedish sign language. She

works in a bi-cultural and bi-lingual environment and is one of the most sort

after workshop leaders and speakers around the area of diversity.

[ DESCRIÇÃO / DESCRIPTION ] Workshop de improvisação em dança/teatro físico, para todos, com ou sem experiência em dança. Buscar, escutar, brincar e sonhar. O corpo contém em si o seu próprio mundo, memória e mente – para nós é uma paisagem escondida. Quando abrimos a porta para este mundo escondido conseguimos a verdade das suas histórias. Não é preciso ter medo, o corpo é o nosso guia. A workshop tem como principais objectivos desbloquear estereótipos físicos, medos e auto-controlo e compreender o efeito desta nova liberdade no nosso movimento, assim como diluir fronteiras na percepção do corpo e do outro. A workshop of improvisation in dance/physical theatre, directed to everybody, with and with no experience in dance. To search, listen, play and dream. The body contains within itself its own world, memory and mind – for us it is a hidden landscape. When we open the door for this hidden world we find the truth of its stories. There’s no need to be afraid, the body is our guide.

The workshop has as main goals to unblock physical stereotypes, fears and self-control and to understand the effect of this new freedom in our movements, as well as to dilute borders in the perception of the body and of the other. Inclui um treino intensivo físico e energético que sustentará o suporte correcto do corpo e trabalho com a energia. The essence of this work will be the improvisation, based on and inspired by children’s games, contemporary dance, movement and physical theatre. ALENA DITTRICHOVÁ Alena é bailarina e nasceu em Praga, em 1980. Estudou no Dance Centrum UK, no Conservatório JJ, no

Conservatório DC, no JAMU (Escola de Artes Performativas em Brno), e na Escola Superior de Dança. Fez estágios

no MAPA e no Centro Nacional Coreográfico em Nantes. Realizou workshops com bailarinos franceses e africanos em

Burkino Fasso. O seu trabalho inclui produções originais que oscilam entre o teatro e a dança. A sua primeira longa-

metragem de autor da performance SEKRET foi nomeada para o Prémio SAZKA 2003 por Divadelmí Noviny, na

categoria de dança e ballet. Trabalha desde 2004 na JAMU como assistente especial do Professor Ctibor Turba. Dá

aulas de dança a crianças desde 2005. Trabalhou como bailarina e performer com artistas checos e estrangeiros,

entre eles Claudie Brumachon, Serge Ambert, Pierre Nadea e Ctibor Turba. Coopera com músicos na área da

improvisação na dança e no teatro, entre eles Irena e Voitech Havel e os bailarinos Jiri Lossl e Ondrej Lipovský.

Alena is a ballet dancer and was born in Prague, in 1980. Studied in Dance Centrum UK, in the JJ Conservatory, in the

DC Conservatory, in the JAMU (School of Performative Arts in Brno), and in the Superior School of Dance. She did

internships in MAPA and in the National Choreographic Centre in Nantes. Also, she held workshops with French and

African ballet dancers in Burkino Fasso. Her work includes original productions in theatre and in dance. Her first

feature-film of the performance SEKRET was nominated for the SAZKA Prize 2003 by Divadelmí Noviny in the

category of dance and ballet. Since 2004, she has been working in JAMU as a special assistant of Professor Ctibor

Turba. She has been giving dance lessons to children since 2005. She worked as a ballet dancer and a performer with

both Czechs and foreign artists, among them Claudie Brumachon, Serge Ambert, Pierre Nadea and Ctibor Turba. She

cooperates with musicians in the improvisation area in dance and theatre, among them Irena and Voitech Havel and

the ballet dancers Jiri Lossl and Ondrej Lipovský.

[ DESCRIÇÃO / DESCRIPTION ] Workshop dinamizado pelo representante do projecto Playing for a Change na Europa e orientado por dois músicos experientes oriundos do Brasil e de Angola, os quais, com utilização de instrumentos acústicos, voz e corpo, realçam o potencial de cada um na partilha colectiva por via da música. Projecto de música multimédia criado pelo produtor musical e engenheiro de som Mark Johnson, Playing for a Change parte da crença comum de que a música tem o poder de superar barreiras e a distância entre pessoas com diferentes enquadramentos geográficos, políticos, económicos, espirituais ou ideológicos. Com enfoque na formação musical e intercâmbio criativo entre comunidades excluídas – crianças de aldeias remotas, sem abrigo, populações desfavorecidas, entre outros -, o projecto tem cruzado fronteiras e transportado música a todos.

Workshop driven by the representative of Playing for a Change project in Europe and oriented by two experienced musicians from Brazil and Angola. Through the use of acoustic instruments, voice and body, they will enhance the potential of each one of them in the collective share through music. A multimedia music project, created by the music producer and sound engineer Mark Johnson. Playing for a Change has its beginning in a common believe that music is provided with a broking barriers power as a distance killer between people from different geographic, political, economic, spiritual and ideological backgrounds. With a musical education focus and a creative exchange between excluded communities- children from periphery areas, homeless, underprivileged communities, among others-, the project aims to cross borders and bring music to all.

FRANÇOIS VIGUIÉ Produtor do projecto Playing for Change, desde 2005,

actualmente a viver em Barcelona, Espanha. Depois de

viajar para diferentes destinos ao redor do mundo no

âmbito deste projecto, é agora o coordenador dos

programas de música africana na Fundação, trabalhando

na comunicação entre funcionários com sede em Los

Angeles, bem como na produção de vídeos e conteúdos

para os programas e escolas da Fundação.

François Viguié is a producer at Playing For Change since

2005, currently living in Barcelona, Spain. After travelling with the playing for change crew to different destinations

around the world he is now the coordinator of the African Music programs at the Playing For Change Foundation,

working on the communication between the ground and the staff based in Los Angeles as well as producing videos and

contents on the Foundation's music schools and programs.

HUGO SOARES Nasceu em Luanda (Angola) em 1974. Foi criado no

Brasil e na Argentina, depois da sua família ter emigrado

de Angola por causa da guerra. Compositor, guitarrista e

cantor, a sua música é uma fusão de raízes Africanas

muito profundas e de influências Brasileiras. Vive em

Barcelona desde 1993 e lá conheceu Clarence, com

quem travou amizade. Juntos, costumavam tocar soul,

reggae e canções Africanas (incluindo Pemba Laka) em

bares e nas ruas de Barcelona.

A voz de Hugo é uma das vozes mais doces do mundo – uma óptima mistura de alegria e nostalgia.

Hugo Soares was born in Luanda (Angola) in 1974. He was raised in Brazil and Argentina after his family emigrated

from Angola because of the war. A composer, guitarist and singer, his music fuses deep African roots with Brazilian

influences. Hugo has lived in Barcelona since 1993 were he became friends with Clarence. The two of them used to

play soul, reggae and African songs (including Pemba Laka) together in bars and in the streets of Barcelona. Hugo's

voice is one of the sweetest voices on earth-- a great mix of joy and nostalgia.

JEFFERSON OTTO GONSALVES Cantor, baterista e compositor. Começou a tocar tambores

e percussão como auto-didata aos 13 anos de idade, tendo

montado a sua própria banda – Abaixo de Deus, pouco

depois, na sua cidade natal, Curitiba.

Actuou em bandas de rock, Popular brasileira, jazz e latin

jazz, bem como em programas musicais de TV (tais como

"Toneladas do Brasil ", apresentado pelo pianista Plinio

Correa e “Noite de Gala"). De 1994 a 1996, ensinou bateria,

percussão e teoria musical aplicada à percussão na "Mozarteum" escola de música em Curitiba. Integrou igualmente a

CNT - orquestra sinfônica baseada em Curitiba. Neste programa, apresentado pelo cantor Agnaldo Rayol,

acompanhado artistas Brasileiros como Cauby Peixoto, Osvaldo Montenegro, Brandão Leci, Alicione,Alf Johny, entre

outros. Em 1999, formou-se em jornalismo e passou a viver em Espanha. Em Tenerife, actuou como director de

bateria fixa na casa jazz "Round Midnight". Em 2003 mudou-se para Barcelona, onde monta o grupo cumbuca com o

guitarrista e compositor Diógenes Mancini, projeto que circula por várias cidades em Espanha apresentando um

repertório baseado na música popular brasileira. Na Europa, gravou e actuou em projectos como Tchika projetos, Jazz

Marrabenta Fusion, Flaman Grupo & Co, Luna Cohen, Cantautar, Berk, O Banda Virtual, Matari, Shuarma, Wagner Pa,

The Crescent, Asikides, Brincar Para a Mudança, Paula Lima, Catia Werneck, Raul de Souza, entre outros. Em

Barcelona também participou em vários seminários e reuniões principalmente percussão Dave Weckl, Horacio

Hernandez ao longo do Negro Michel Camilo e Billy Cobhan.

As a universal language, the creative process brings the artist and the participants a new facet of itself and another understanding of the world. The opportunity to create or to arise to art brings profound

benefits that vary for every person. This inclusive encounter will enable new perceptions and experiences of human knowledge. [ METODOLOGIA ] Através de exercícios de ligação ao corpo, o objectivo é activar capacidades internas físicas e energéticas, num interiro por vezes adormecido. Com o auxílio de conceitos e de jogos de palavras, o grupo gera uma dinâmica empática, e explora o auto-conhecimento que conduz à criação de uma narrativa e de uma coreografia. Through exercises linking to the body, the goal is to activate internal physical capabilities and the inner energy that may be asleep. With the aid of concepts and word games, the group will form a dynamic to create empathy and self-knowledge, which will lead to the creation of a narrative and a choreography. [ BIOGRAFIA ]

SARA BERNARDO Trabalhou na área do património e das artes, em Portugal e em Barcelona. Posteriormente, em 2010, foi estagiária na

companhia de teatro LAPD_ Los Angeles Poverty Department_, projecto de arte inclusiva, através da bolsa do Inov-art

da Direcção Geral das Artes. Escreve, comunica e desenvolve exposições e projectos de audiovisual. Ao longo destes

anos tentou sempre dançar e conciliar projectos e trabalhos pontuais na área inclusiva e sustentável, arte e turismo

com o movimento.

She worked in the area of heritage and the arts, in Portugal and in Barcelona. Later, in 2010, she was an intern in the

theatre company LAPD_ Los Angeles Poverty Department_, a project of inclusive art, throug Inov-art (Direcção Geral

das Artes internship). She is a writer, communicates and develops audiovisual exhibitions and projects. Throughout

these years, she has always tried to dance and to conciliate projects and one time jobs within the inclusive and

sustainable area, art and tourism with movement.

O habitus como elemento estruturante no protagonismo juvenil: uma recusa à naturalização biológica da exclusão social; políticas de alteridade pelo corpo. Analisa-se a produção de identidades culturais juvenis na cidade de Macaé/RJ (Brasil), delimitando os processos criativos através da dança, enquanto espaço legítimo de autonomia e participação. Situada está a presença do corpo enquanto dispositivo que serve a reclamar uma política de alteridade distinta da inclusão de crianças e adolescentes carentes e ou deficientes que se faz por meio de atividades culturais. Habitus as a structuring element in youth leadership: a refusal to biological naturalization of social exclusion, otherness policies by the body. Cultural identities of the youth from Macaé/RJ are analyzed, delimiting the creative processes through dance, as the legitimate space for autonomy and participation. Lying is the presence of the body while device used to claim a distinct otherness policy of inclusion of children and teenagers and disabled, made possible through cultural activities.

Vianna de Dança” (FUNARTE 2010) e Rumos, Educação, Cultura e Arte promovido pelo Instituto Itaú

Cultural (2008-2010). Recentemente foi convidado a compor a equipa técnica que escreveu a proposta do

plano decenal das políticas públicas para a dança no Estado do Rio de Janeiro (2012-13). A sua principal

rede de trabalho actual estrutura-se a partir da Cia GENTE.

A Cia GENTE é um movimento de articulação entre artistas, educadores, gestores, profissionais de distintas

áreas e gente, muita gente. A motivação da proposta está na diversidade cultural, nas possibilidades

criativas e, sobretudo, nos protagonismos. A companhia é orientada por este último princípio - o

protagonismo - que a Cia GENTE percebe as relações sociais, culturais e políticas além das classes, das

etnias, dos partidos, dos credos, das formas físicas ou mentais. A produção de resultados, ao contrário,

nada tem a ver com rotulações, sistemas privilegiados de acesso e inclusão social; o que estrutura o

discurso e o acto afirmativo das suas acções estão nas práticas de reconhecimento e do fomento às

variadas formas do saber e do fazer.
