Women Confronting Issues of HIV/AIDS
Presentation by Dr. Suneeta Krishnan regarding women in India who are faced with HIV/AIDS;
followed by a discussion lead by Mary Salome on the invisibility of HIV/AIDS in Arab American Communities;
Roxanne Hanna-Ware (Women Organized to Respond to Life-threatening Disease) then discusses
preventative measures for young women through empowerment.

of the Raza community and investigate how this community is responding to the spread of HIV.

Candle Light VigilCommemorating the lives of those lost and affected by AIDS, the Candle Light Vigil will
begin at Malcolm X Plaza and take place throughout campus.
