Dear Friends

The Hellenic Federation of underwater activities & sport fishing, upon assignment by FIPSm, and the

Region of Western Macedonia have the great honor and pleasure to organize the 15th World

Championship Long Casting of Sea Weights of 2012.

Co-organizer of the 15th World Championship Long Casting of Sea weights is Ptolemaida Fishing Club

(PFC) and the organization is under the auspices of the Municipal Authority of the town of Amynteo.



The 15th World Championship Long Casting of Sea weights will be held from 1-8 September 2012 in

the city of Amynteo, located in Northern Greece and specifically in the Prefecture of Western

Macedonia.

HOW TO GET TO AMYNTEO

1.- By Air

To MACEDONIA AIRPORT situated in the city of Thessaloniki



It is not necessary to provide more information, as the only thing you have to do is give us your flight

information (airline, flight number, arrival time). We will arrange for a bus to transfer you to your

hotel in the city of Amynteo.

All transport to and from the airport, the venue and the places where the closing and opening

ceremonies will be held, as well as all other transport required will be in our own transportation

means and at our expense.

All participants are entitled to transportation free of charge (including their luggage).

On your arrival at the airport you will meet with representatives of our Federation at your service.

The exact transport times will be communicated to you as soon as you provide us with your flight

details.



2.- By sea

PORT OF IGOUMENITSA

From the port of Igoumenitsa please follow the following itinerary:

1. Head southwest on Xenofontos toward Aischylou

2. Turn right onto Aischylou

3. Turn left onto Megalou Alexandrou

4. Take the 1st right onto Zosimadon

5. Continue onto F. Michala

6. Turn left onto Ariadnis/Ethnikis Antistaseos

7. Turn left onto Ethnikis Antistaseos/Route 6/E55/E90/E92 Continue to follow Route 6/E55/E90/E92 Go through 1 roundabout

8. Take the ramp onto A2/E90 Partial toll road

9. Exit onto Egnatias Odou-Synoriakou Stathmou Nikis/E65/E90 Continue to follow Egnatias Odou-Synoriakou Stathmou Nikis/E65

10. Continue onto unnamed junction/Κόμβος χωρίς όνομα/E86

11. Take the exit onto Egnatias Odou-Synoriakou Stathmou Nikis/E86

12. Take the exit toward Old National Road Kozani-Florina

13. Turn left onto Old National Road Kozani-Florina

14. Turn left

15. Sharp right at Amyntaiou-Sotiras

16. Turn right

17. Enter the roundabout

18. Have arrived to Amynteo



ACCOMMODATION

All participants will stay in ATERON SUITES & SPA Hotel (www.ateron.gr ) and BELLA TOUMPA HOTEL

(www.bellatoumpa.gr ) in double or triple rooms.

The ATERON SUITES & SPA Hotel is only 1 km away from the venue as well as from the city of

Amynteo and the BELLA TOUMPA HOTEL is only 3 km away from the venue and the city.

ACCREDITATION OF DELEGATIONS

All delegations can be accredited immediately upon arrival at the hotel in a specially designed area

where the Secretariat will also be accommodated.

Representatives of our Federation who speak the official languages of FIPSm (English and French

(other languages included) will be present at your disposal.

After their accreditation, all delegations will receive a complete dossier with information and

organizational details as well as personal tags for all the delegation members. Therefore, please have

with you photos (passport size) for each member of your delegation.

The above participations fees include:

1.- All transport to and from the airport, the venue, the places where the opening and closing

ceremonies will be held, and any other transport necessary.

2.- Accommodation with breakfast to ATERON SUITES & SPA HOTEL and BELLA TOUMPA HOTEL, from

Saturday September 1st to Saturday September 8th (7 nights) in double or triple rooms.

3.- Free use of the Hotel’s SPA services and free wi fi internet in all Hotel areas, including the rooms.

4.- All meals according to schedule as follows:

a) all dinners during the competition days in ATERON SUITES & SPA Hotel, as well as the

dinner of the arrival day, including refreshments and local wine (free consumption).

b) all lunch packs during the competition days, to be consumed on venue.

5.- The fees of the galas for the opening and closing ceremonies according to schedule, including

dinner and drinks of any kind (free consumption).

6.- Guided tour to archaeological sites including the lunch of the free day (Friday, September 7th)

7.- Leeds of all 4 categories in accordance with the rules (2 for each weight, per caster).

8.- FIPSm fees in accordance with the Regulation (120 euros per National Team, 25 euros per

individual).

9.- Insurance for all participants.

10.- All organizational costs.



Please note that there will be tents on the venue, as well as chairs and tables for each delegation,

therefore it is not necessary to bring with you such heavy equipment.

All delegations wishing to arrive before the scheduled date of arrival, or stay after the scheduled date

of departure please note that you may stay at the same hotels ATERON SUITES & SPA or BELLA

TOUMPA and the prices specially agreed by our Federation are the following:

Accommodation in double or triple rooms with breakfast: 20 euros per person per day.

Lunch or Dinner at the Hotels (á la carte): 10 euros per person (drinks not included).

For those delegations wishing to arrive earlier or depart later then scheduled, we will arrange for

free of charge transportation to and from MACEDONIA airport under request.

All delegations are kindly requested to have with them and deliver to the Secretariat, immediately

upon arrival and accreditation, two (2) flags of their country (2,00X1,65) and a CD with their

National Anthem. Please note that one flag is to be used for the opening and closing ceremonies ‘

parades and the second is to be used for the pride flag and will remain in the poles in the centre of

the town until the end of the World Championship. Kindly also note that all national anthems will

be played during the official presentation of the casters.

Finally we kindly ask all captains to bring and deliver to the organization’s committee on arrival

medical certificates confirming the good health condition of all casters (team members and

individuals), which are necessary for insurance purposes. Please note that a doctor will be at your

disposal to issue the medical certificate on your charge (50 euros per person).

Dear friends,

We inform you that, by decision of FIPSm Board last November, the Rules of Long Casting of Sea

Weights have undergo certain modifications which will be in effect as test measure during the

present world championship.

After observations and inquiries of the present nations, the final version of these rules will be

presented for agreement to the FIP-Mer general assembly of 2013 which takes place at Lisbon in

Portugal.

The 15th World Championship Long Casting of Sea Weights will be held in accordance with this

project of the new rules, which will be sent to you for information to the member nations by a

separate e-mail of the FIPS-M Board.

Finally, we kindly ask you to make sure that you will comply with the time-limits concerning the

Registration Forms and the information sheet of your arrival details and the deposit of the

participation fees as well.

It is very important for us to have all the information on the dates we have mentioned, to enable us

to make appropriate scheduling and organization and, most of all to serve you as best we can.
