I think its a really useful courses for someone with no programming experience at all, but at times I felt it was too simple for someone with some experience I think the course gave a good basic overview of Regex, however I think some more hands on exercises would be beneficial to help consolidate your learning, although I appreciate this would be difficult to do in the time allotted. I think this was exactly what we were looking for in the course I thought Maybe split up the longer periods where it is lecture style learning? I thought the course was really good, the instructor explained things very well, and the learning environment was lovely. I thought the trainer was excellent and really broke things down to a simple level. Luckily this didn’t detract from the effectiveness of the training thought the training was really helpful and the instructor was very knowledgeable. I now feel like I have a greater understanding into the technical details of Python basics that I otherwise would not have known. I wanted to get an understanding of the basics of programming but I didn’t learn as much as I was hoping. I was already familiar with JavaScript but the course has been a re-assurance for me and at the same time I have gained extra knowledge about the advanced areas of the language. I was very happy with the trainer and felt I learned from his direction. I will be able to use my new skills directly on return to office I will be able to use what I have learned to implement real change in the way that I do my job for the better, and cover a more complete range of skills. I will be recommending QA to many of my colleagues once I am back at the office. I will be recommending QA to my manager for all further training for the reasons outlined above. I will be utilizing what was learnt on this course to my current job role. I will come away feeling like I’ve learnt and developed so that is good. Could have been better if some bits had been taught in more depth however overall it was a good course I will hopefully be able to apply this knowledge to my job. I will require further learning to put what I have learned to use in my job, but have acquired a good foundation for this over the past 3 days. . I would recommend to a friend or colleague. It really helps to have somebody be able to answer all of your queries as you go through the material “I would say this has been one of the best QA learning experiences so far. There was plenty of adhoc questions and trainer was very good and content switching between questions. Trainer was very knowledgeable and great at live demonstrations. I had attempted to self teach Scala before from youtube. Ian definitely knows his subject. His presentation skills are also excellent. Very good trainer. Ian delivered the content enthusiastically. An enjoyable introduction to Linux. Many thanks. Ian is a fantastic trainer who explains everything very clearly. I also found it very useful that a lot of the information on the slides was explained through the use of demonstrations - a much more efficient and more interactive way of learning than just reading from the slides. Very happy all round! Ian is a very engaging tutor with an obvious passion for his subject. He led the course at a good pace and was available for any questions/help. I would be happy to attend another course presented by Ian. Ian is an excellent trainer, patient and he explained everything so that I understood. Ian was extremely knowledgeable in the subject area and happy to answer bash related questions that weren’t covered in the syllabus, in addition to questions pertaining to the syllabus. He also delivered the content well with a good sense of humour too! Ian was fantastic, very clear and very good at answering off and on topic questions Ian was very friendly, super knowledgeable in Perl and happy to go beyond course material at times to get a better understanding. Especially with the questions that I had that could be specific based on the source code seen at work that may have not been immediately relevant to the slides. Ian was very knowledgeable in this field and presented the course in a well paced and fun manner. Overall the training has been very useful and I am looking forward to using the skills and knowledge I have gained to use it in real time projects. Overall the course was very relaxed and the material was well presented and of high quality. If the course could be tailored to meet the needs of our project it would be more useful. for. If the other trainers are as good as Stephen I’d definitely want to take another course. I’ll have general knowledge of how PHP syntax looks like but I definitely would need more trainings if I had to anything with PHP or MySQL at work. Impressed with QA handlers.
