ABOUT THE CONFERENCE2nd edition of its Non-Ferrous Metals Conference, THE “World Non Ferrous Conference”
5
ConceptThe main thrust of the conference will be to discuss how to increase demand of Non-Ferrous Metals in India; with the help of Producer, Recyclers, End User, Associations, Govt. Authorities and all the Industry Members. This Conference will be a platform to bring together different stakeholders(Producers, Recyclers, End Users, Associations, Government Authorities, and all the Industry Members) to deliberate on the market scenario, future outlook, innovation, common issues, managing finance etc.
AimTo facilitate deliberations on making the Non-Ferrous Metal ecosystem, Future Ready into India’s Demand growth with insight into areas like Managing Finance, Managing Marketing as well as how to Innovate to keep up with the world

Undeniable Megatrends
India will surpass China Population by
2022

increase much faster in the next 10-30
years.

Innovation In Copper
High Strength Copper Steel for Rail Tank Cars to Bridges
Copper-based Solar Cells: Good for the Environment, Good for the Consumer
High Copper Alloys - High Strength Coppers reduce power transmission loss
Copper Water Tube: Good for Consumers, Good for the Environment
Copper continues to be a Valuable material. We must strive to understand the need of our customers to apply copper efficiently and effectively today and in
the future.
13
Addressing needsElectro mobility is driving copper demand upwards. The amount of copper in modern car designs is rising fast.
Copper-based Solar Cells:Good for the Environment, Good for the Consumer. Copper and its alloys have been a part of renewable and other "green" energy systems for many years.

14
Innovation In Aluminium
Important metal for the future, because of its strength, low weight and good
potential for recycling.
When lighter materials like aluminum are used in construction, energy consumption can be reduced.
Its specific weight is 2.7 g/cm3, which is one-third that of steel. In vehicles,
Aluminium reduces unnecessary weight and therefore fuel consumption.
As a reflector of heat and light, Aluminium is suitable for such
applications as solar technology and rescue blankets.
15
Innovation in Zinc
16
SUBSTITUTION IS NOT A THREAT
You can substitute copper as a cost driver but you cannot substitute its ability to innovate.
17
Copper makes the world work better
Industry efforts since the 1990’s leading to a 60% reduction of
their unit energy consumption.
2/3 of the copper produced since 1900 is still in
productive use
Copper is virtually 100% recyclable; as an element it does not decay. It is Non Corrosion Resistant, light weight, durable, waterproof, good conductor of heat and
highly ductile
Burning of the Dubai tower was caused due to the use of other materials (The so called substitutes)

RECYCLING NON FERROUS METALS
Energy saved during scrap recycling is 92% for Aluminium, 90% for Copper
24
Advantage of Recycling Non Ferrous metals
The recovery of non–ferrous metals for recycling provides both environmental and economic benefits. The recycling Non Ferrous metals leads to clean and green energy as well as energy saving in the long run.
55% of EU demand met through recycling
Less pollution, greater energy savings and more environmentally friendly
Non Ferrous metals do not degrade or lose their chemical and physical properties in recycling.
Saving Natural Resources

What happens to China in the next 10 years ?
• Western countries are making constant efforts to control China’s supply
• USA/Europe/India are working to prevent cheap Chinese Non Ferrous metal exports
• China has huge surplus capacity & is closing down plants
• Chinese government is indirectly subsidizing their industry.
