World Scholar’s Cup is a manifestation of these Words. We constantly strive to augment the capabilities of our students by providing the best of facilities. It is an honourable moment for the school to proclaim that our 3 teams, i.e.9 students in all, have won at Regional Level in World Scholar’s Cup. Not only this, our children bagged 29 medals in different categories and qualified for the Global Round to be held in Singapore. Mahima Yadav of IX F clearly stole the show by winning 10 medals. The spirit of MAPS has once again strongly inspired students to attain high standards and win laurels. Congratulations to the teacher-guides Ms. Aradhna Mitra and Ms. Neha Grover whose unstinting efforts made it all possible and to the Young Debators. Great Going, Agarsainians!!!

With an aim to stimulate the life-long development of amicable relationships, effective communication , cooperation &leadership Skills, children got an experience of their lives when they met Mr.Joseph Kapalu (International Coordinator –Eumind Europe meets India and Ms. Reetu Dewar (Coordinator Bal Bharti School, Pusa Road). The aim of this visit was to get to know the Indian School system. Our foreign guest addressed the excited audience with his gracious words and talked

about his close bonding with India. Thereafter an interactive session was conducted in the school Auditorium with academic achievers of session 2013-14 in which our students gained a fresh perspective on a foreign culture. Ms. Reetu also discussed about the wonderful journey her students experienced by means of this programme. Our Little Wonders expressed themselves confidently with beautiful props as they elucidated on their personality, their

favourite toys, cartoons etc. They presented a beautiful display of their photographs and other things related to

them.

PING PONG RACE (Pre Pri – 6.5.15)

Sports and games invariably ensure good health. To guide the young athletes towards an easy pathway leading to fitness, a ‘Ping Pong Race’ was organized. The race promoted balance

and co-ordination when the kids ran holding crazy balls in plates while taking care not to drop them. Such games render a healthy channel for diversion of energy in children, while

also being enjoyable.

A Mother is all about tenderness. All that we are, we owe to our mothers. To honour Motherhood and to pay a

tribute to the Mother , a special assembly was conducted. Our Little Buds prepared tokens of love for their

Guardian Angels. They moulded clay into lovely flowers to thank their mothers for the never ending love and care

which they bestow.

SUMMER FUN (16.5.14)

Summer vacations spell fun and enjoyment. Welcoming the onset of this happy and refreshing break, the day was made special with summer specialties. Children

relished their favorite ice-cream, tapped their feet in the rain dance party and wished each other fun filled

holidays ahead.

SEVEN AGES OF A WOMAN First she resides in the womb of her mother But soon is killed without any bother. If by mistake she takes birth, Her family treats her like a curse! As a child she’s provided little medical care Demand her rights? she cannot dare! She is neglected, denied educational opportunity, And is ordered to care for others, &serve With dignity. When she enters the teen age She is not allowed to step out of her cage She is always afraid of walking on the roads, Scared of being teased by slinky male toads! Marriage simply adds to her woes, 24*7 she’s expected to be on her toes. When she is an old, aged mother Her children treat her like a burden After all this struggle comes her end When she sleeps forever on her death bed. For a moment we feel sad, but soon the feeling’s flung And she passes away…. Unsung!

The week concluded with a ‘Book Fair’ organised by INC Publishers which gave the students an opportunity to browse through books on various subjects as per their preference. The objective of the week was not to compete but to provide an opportunity for students to know more about not only books but also other important areas for their character development. Hence it was another platform for Agarsainians to polish their knowledge, ideas and personalities.

“Books are the lighthouses of knowledge.” The Library week received a dynamic and lively response from all the students and encouraged them to explore the world of books. The highlight of the Week was D.E.A.R (Drop Everything And Read) activity which created bookworms of the students and increased their thirst for reading. Class-I enjoyed the activity Matinee Buddies while Class–II explored their creativity by making Bal Patrika. Various Workshops were conducted for the students of Classes IIII to XII on topics appropriate to their age, ranging from Phonological knowledge to Debating skills and career counselling.
