The Changing Paradigmin Preschool Education
In our increasingly technological world, students find more distractionthan ever in a form of smart phones, social media and computers. It’s not a surprise that schooling is not perceived fun when comparedto the numerous fun activities. Thanks to a global technology boom,an approach of digital game-based learning is to bring the enjoyable and motivating environment to classrooms through pedagogical meaningful games.
The “Digital Game-Based Learning” Pavilion is led by Hong Kong Game-based Learning Association
Worlddidac Asia wishes to present opinion leaders from Hong Kong how positive factors of game-based learning are through a dedicated pavilionwithin the exhibition hall. The pavilion is purposed to present the most popular games for education developed in Hong Kong and beyond as well as their successes. Experts in the field of game-based learning will partic-ipate in the daily workshops and highlight the pros and cons of this increasingly important approach.
Visitors joining a leading Asian event for educational resources from18 – 20 March in Hong Kong will experience a first-hand showcase dedicated to youth skills in a special environment called Skills for the Future Showcase.
The brightest students in Mechatronics from Hong Kong, China Mainland, Taiwan and Macau, all training for the World Skills competition in Brazil, will compete against each other in this highly interesting skills discipline right in front of the visitors. The equipment used for this demonstration and the expertise will be brought in from our showcase partner Festo Didactic.
Throughout the day, competitors and experts will inform the public about the mechatronics discipline and also make the link to our daily life and how mechatronics make our life a lot easier.
