What ? Infertility : you can not conceive ( have a baby )

in vitro fertilization – or IVF is the process of fertilization by manually combining an egg and sperm in a laboratory dish.

Why ?Many couples try to have kids but find out that they cannot. Which led to have an alternate solution for those couples to have kids.

When ?November 10 , 1977

ImpactLed the way for five million further IVF births

Gave another option to have kids for people who were infertile.

Interesting FactsTake an egg and mix it with the

sperm ( from the couple ) then put it into a special solution that had been created to nurture the egg before it divided

Let it divide for about five days before putting it back into the uterus.

In Lesley’s case , the doctors only waited two and a half days before putting the egg back in the uterus.
