Welcome TO C RO S S I N G S C O M M U N I T Y C H U RC H

We’re so glad you’ve chosen to join us in worship today. Over the next hour, we will sing a few songs, join together in prayer, and hear a message that speaks to how truth and faith intersect with our lives today. In a world that pulls us in so many directions, this time of worship helps us remember what is most important as we turn our hearts and minds toward God.

We’d love to know you’re here today, so take a moment to fill out the Connection Card found in this worship guide, which includes a place where you can let us know about prayer concerns and/or questions you might have. Place the Connection Card into the offering plate/basket or into a BLUE BOX, found at each exit. Thanks again for gathering with us today at Crossings!

NEW TO CROSSINGS?Stop by Guest Central in the Atrium today after the service. We would love to meet you!

WANT TO TAKE THE NEXT STEP IN YOUR FAITH?Visit Next Step in the Atrium following the service today. We would love to help you find a class, group or personal spiritual growth plan!

Baptism is a visual and symbolic demonstration of a person’s faith in Jesus Christ. It signifies that his/her former way of life has been put to death and depicts the raising up of a new life committed to following Christ.

“Going under the water was a burial of your old life; coming up out of it was a resurrection, God raising you from the dead as He did Christ.”

Colossians 2:12 MSG

“Anyone who belongs to Christ has become a new person. The old life is gone; a new life has begun! And all of this is a gift from God, who brought us back to Himself through Christ.“ 2 Corinthians 5:17-18 NLT

2 9Jesus ... The Bread of LifePASTOR MARTY GRUBBS [@MARTYGRUBBS]

“I am the bread of life. He who comes to Me will never go hungry, and he who believes in Me will never be thirsty ... I am the bread that came down from heaven ... I am the bread of life. Your forefathers ate the manna in the desert, yet they died. But here is the bread that comes down from heaven, which a man may eat and not die. I am living bread that came down from heaven. If anyone eats of this bread, he will live forever. This bread is My flesh, which I will give for the life of the world.” John 6:35, 41, 48-51

In the end, only one thing is needed, only one thing is essential, for this life and the life to come ... the bread of life. When we have Him, we have everything we need. As we deliver the bread to others, we meet their deepest needs.
