Zechariah 8 goes hand in hand with Chapter 7. The question that is asked by Sherezer and Regem-melech in 7:3 is not answered until Zechariah 8:18,19. This chapter is filled with hope for the future of Israel. If, in fact, Israel has forfeited her right to these promises, as some

would say, then what are we to think; that all of these promises are really for the church? “. . . In those days it shall come to pass, that ten men shall take hold out of all languages of the nations, even shall take hold of the skirt of him that is a Jew, saying, We will go with you: for

we have heard that God is with you.” (Zechariah 8:23)

Why? “. . . I will plant them upon their land, and they shall no more be pulled up out of their land which I have given them, saith the LORD thy God.” (Amos 9:15)
