WRECKAGE

Page 2: WRECKAGE PPT.pptx

• WRECKAGE- an extreme racing event with high powered Radio Controlled cars maneuvering their way through obstacles at mind boggling speeds on the well-designed terrain.

CHASSIS

Page 4: WRECKAGE PPT.pptx

• a frame upon which the main parts of an automobile are built.•It is mandatory to design and manufacture the Chassis on own for wreckage

NITRO ENGINE

Page 6: WRECKAGE PPT.pptx

•A nitro engine generally refers to an engine powered with a fuel that contains some portion (usually between 10% and 40%) of nitro methane mixed with methanol. Nitro methane is highly combustible substance that is generally only used in very specifically designed engines.

•The percentage of nitro methane should not exceed 20% by volume in the fuel for wreckage.

GLOW PLUG & IGNITER

Page 8: WRECKAGE PPT.pptx

•Glow starters are used to heat up the glow plug in your engine when starting your nitro powered RC car. A hot glow plug will enable the fuel to ignite when the engine is starting. An engine will not start without a hot glow plug. Once the engine is running the glow starter can be removed from the engine.

STEERING

Page 11: WRECKAGE PPT.pptx

•RC Servos are used to convert electrical signal into polar or linear movement. A simple example is the steering system of an RC car. When signal is transmitted from the control to the car, this signal is decoded and sent to a servo. According to this signal, the servo will rotate it's drive shaft for some degrees, and this rotation is translated into wheel steering.

RADIO CONTROLERS

Page 13: WRECKAGE PPT.pptx

•Transmitter - You hold the transmitter in your hands to control the car. It sends Radio waves to the receiver.

•Receiver - An antenna and circuit board inside the car receives signals from the transmitter and activates motors inside the car as commanded by the transmitter.

•Motor(s) - Motors can turn steer the vehicle, used for throttling etc.

SUSPENSION

Page 15: WRECKAGE PPT.pptx

•suspension is the system of linkages and springs or shocks that allows the wheels to move up & down independent of the chassis or body. This is important for "soaking up" bumps in rough terrain, gracefully landing jumps, and getting the right amount of body lean & weight transfer in turns.

TOTAL ASSEMBLY

Page 18: WRECKAGE PPT.pptx

EACH TEAM SHOULD SUBMIT THEIR DESIGN REPORTS.

1 ROUND:

There will be a qualifying session with each team getting two successive laps out of which the faster lap will be considered

2 ROUND:

It will be decided on the day of racing.

3 ROUND:

The final stage is a one-on-one battle .

Page 19: WRECKAGE PPT.pptx

•A team may consist of at least 2 members and should not exceed more than 5 members.

•Judging is purely based on the race track performance
