The authentic Polynesian banquet is excellent, as always, thanks to Lupeand John Tauati-and the entertainment is so terrific!
--The Silent Auction continues to grow and grow, and the proceeds have become an importantpart of our budgeted income. News From Pilgrim Cove
Pilgrim Cove needs about $40,000 more to keep the Camp running without muchof a loss. Right now we have an immediate need for $5000 to repair items at the Campduring the Work Weekends. The funds are needed to repair the road and the dock, paint for various buildings, electrical items, tables & chairs and mats for the showers.
In order to make up for the loss of the YMCA Campers, Pilgrim Cove Camp willoften be booking two different camping groups at the same time. In order to do that, the Camp needs to have two mini-lodges for the campers to be able to meet in and tofacilitate their individual groups. They are also looking for coffee mugs (throughbreakage and loss their supply has dwindled), a used PA system for Creech Lodge (theywill need to outfit the mini-lodges with the current systems), used golf carts (totransport supplies to the cabins) and used, but usable, washers & dryers (the presentones are about to bite the dust).
If you can help with any of these items or a cash donation or your labor duringthe camp work weekends (May 21, 22 and May 28, 29) it would go a long way inhelping to keep the camp going. Wright Church has adopted the cook's cabin to repairand fix up (AI Busche is putting together a punch list of things that need to be takencare of), and hopefully that can get started during the work weekends. If you have anyquestions please see anyone of our church's Pilgrim Cove Board Members -- AI Busche,Jim Morrow, Carl Van Slyke or Janice Aagaard.

Notes From The Board
What color has God made your Easter season? Carol Rivers opened our Board meeting with adevotion on the colors of Easter. Easter is many colors; the black of Maundy Thursday, the red of GoodFriday, the white of Easter Sunday, the vibrant colors of Spring. Most of all Easter is the color of love, asGod gave his son Jesus that you and I, as sinners may be saved. Knowing we are saved through the graceof God, we conducted the business of our Church.
With Spring upon us, our property committee is looking for help with the grounds. Are you ableto adopt a flower bed, or mow our lawn a few times? There is a sign up sheet posted. Dale Shoemakerand the Property Committee will greatly appreciate your help.
We are planning our Summer Luau party; reserve the date of Saturday, June 18th• Do you haveany items you can donate for the silent auction?
Pilgrim Cove is looking for coffee mugs. Do you have a few coffee spare cups for the camp? If sobring them to Church and we will see them safely to Camp. Are you able to assist in opening the campfor the summer? Would you like to attend Camp? Sign up is now open.
Confirmation class is continuing, and Sunday school is available for the children of our Church.
Spring is rejuvenation. Just as our Lord Jesus lives, our natural world has come back to life. Weinvite you to rejuvenate your Church life.
Will Patterson, Board Chair
