2. Please use the narrative prompts below to begin writing your stories. Please write 5 paragraphs for each prompt. Remember these can be fictional or non-fictional. I encourage you to use your imagination and creativity. Enjoy 3. Think about your best holiday celebration ever and tell about this celebration. 4. You and your family went on a camping trip during the weekend. A friend of yours, who has never been camping, wants to know what it was like. Write a letter to your friend telling about your weekend camping trip. 5. Tell a story about what your perfect best friend would be like and what things you would do together. 6. Weather can affect your life. Think about a time in your life when you have been affected by some sort of weather. Write an article for a popular young people's magazine. Tell about your experience so that other young people can understand what it was like. 7. Write about a time when you did something that made you feel good. It could be a time when you were nice or did a favor for someone. It could be when you did something you had never done before. The important thing is that you felt good about what you did. 8. Tell a friend about an experience that you had that involved an animal. It might be an experience with your pet, someone else's pet, or a wild animal. 9. Imagine that you are at a mall and you find a bag with one hundred dollars in it. Write a story about how you would spend that money. 10. Sometimes we wonder what it would be like if we could fly. Imagine that you woke up one morning and could fly. Write a story about where you went and what you did. 11. You are going to be invisible for one day. Tell what happens to you on this specific day. 12. Imagine that you are an animal in a zoo. Tell what animal you would be and what you would do for the day. 13. Use the expository prompts below to write your thoughts. Please write 5 paragraphs for each prompt. Make sure you add details to your explanations. Have fun with them 14. Everyone enjoys time with their family. What is the best day you have ever spent with your family? Give 3 reasons why it was the best day ever. 15. Rainy days can bring out emotions, and bring on feelings, and memories. Explain whether you like or dislike rainy days. 16. Many people have a favorite season. What is your favorite season of the year and why? 17. Everyone has someone who is special to them. Pick someone that is special to you and explain why. 18. Animals are fun to be around. If you could choose an animal for a classroom pet, what would you choose and why? 19. Everyone is required to read several books in school. Name a favorite book that you read and give 3 reasons why it is worth reading. 20. Most students have a favorite subject at school. What is your favorite subject and why? 21. Everyone has a fear of something whether it is spiders or heights. What is your biggest fear? Explain why. 22. Many people have dreams of becoming something, such as a pilot, an engineer, or a doctor. What is your dream and why? 23. If you were stranded on an island, what things would you need?
