1-Decide what you want to write
– Clinical Research– Medical Education– Reflections/Personal Stories– Poetry– Literature Reviews – Clinical Tips– Proceedings of conferences– WHAT INTERESTS YOU…..
2-REB everything
– Get into the habit of getting ethics for what you are doing
– Call ethics if you are uncertain– Get documentation from REB
3. Write the paper as you write the grant
– Literature review• Need not be systematic
– Methods– Discussion
4. Use an outline
– For each project and for each paper
– Decide prior to the start of the project about potential papers and identify leads and deadlines
– Break the paper up into smaller and more manageable sections
